      ***** Assassins Creed has a complete and (for the most part) fulfilling game each year. CoD hasn't changed much since the original Modern Warfare.

    Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was my favorite in the series. At the beginning of the game Ezio is already an established Assassin and being able to create you're own personal guild of assassins while completely dominating a city by purchasing all shops and driving out Borgia influence by the edge of a blade was just satisfying as all hell, but that is just my opinion.
    I think this game deserves at least a 9.0

      SealStorm193 Agreed, one of my top 10 games of all time. I LOVE the kill streak mechanic. It's soooo satisfying. That along with the virtual training never gets old for me. Had the original Ezio series on 360 and gave in and bought the collection for PS4.

      I loved most of AC Brotherhood, but some of it was a slight bit meh to me. I love the feeling of it being almost like an RPG, there’s so much stuff to manage, whereas in Assassins Creed 1 I felt like it was mainly just viewpoints, saving citizens, and investigations.
      However things that are very cool additions don’t make themselves as visible as other things. Story fell a tiny bit flat in the first half, and it took me a good 2-3 hours to actually get into the game.
      But once you really start making some progress on the pushing out the Borgia, and you start to rack up the florins, the game becomes one of the most satisfying experiences and is almost like a base builder but without the building.
      I love that the game lets you feel like you’re in control of your own environment, and really gives you that feel compared to the other two games in the series at the time.
      Making the whole city the only place to traverse in the game was an excellent idea.
      But yeah an 8.7 from me, it’s almost worth a 9 but some things keep it from achieving that.

      lmao yeah. I mean, it makes sense that Ezio's story continues in the same place, right? It would be weird if they changed it too much. AC Brotherhood is another solid game. Why are people complaining? They wanted change, so we were given AC 3, but everyone hated it because it was too different. And also the horse animations and Connor's dry personality.

    This game and AC2 are Ubisoft's peak

  • @AssassinsDen4
    @AssassinsDen4 10 ปีที่แล้ว +51

    My Review for ACB:
    It's Been Only a Year since AC2 and Ubisoft already brought Brotherhood, It's a daring step for Ubisoft but it did live up
    to the challenge.Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Begins Directly after The Ending of AC2, with our Present Hero "Desmond"
    and His Charming Playboy turned Master Assassin "Ezio Auditore Da Firenze".The Setting of the Game is all-based in Rome
    and some small regioned Towns and Fortrresses.With Ezio's new Antanogist "Ceasre Borgia" Son of "Rodrigo Borgia" to be
    the most Ruthless and Bloodlust Templar in the Franchise uptil now, as he controls a "Piece of Eden".Ezio's Quest for
    Justice and Vengeance allows him to build the Order From 5-15 Italian Assassin members to a Complete Brotherhood with him
    as their Mentor.
    + Storyline:
    Assassin's Creed II Surprised us with its exciting story and Brotherhood didn't dissapoint us by completing it.Though The
    Story has been Shortened from 14 to 9 sequences, The Game successeds in a very well-written Story as a main factor.
    + Graphics:
    Assassin's Creed Brotherhood takes a Huge Step in Graphics from AC2, As You View the Goregoues Streets of Rome To the Top of
    The Colessium in the Countryside at Sunset.Characters also have been improved as you find them more realstic From the
    Ones in AC2.
    +/- Gameplay:
    Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Improves the Gameplay in a Great aspect as Swordsplay is now fun as ever with slightly improved
    enemy AI. Recruits are now avalible for help although as you progress in the game, you'll find them "less useful" but
    nonetheless, the help by granting you rewards from sending them on missions or help when things get a little hot.
    + Music:
    As I'm Sure Fans Enjoyed The Amazing Soundtrack of AC2 as they walked the streets of Venice, Brotherhood returns with
    Glorious Music in a Glorious City and if there's something I really like about Brotherhood, Its That feeling when
    free running in the City with The Breath-Taking Soundtrack.
    + Multiplayer:
    A New Feautre in ACB is the all new Multiplayer which let players dig inside the animuses of Abstergo Employees as they
    Train To Hunt the Assassins and to be Honest It's The Best Thing Ever Happened to The Assassin's Creed Franchise.
    The Verdict:
    Although Assassin's Creed Brotherhood isn't an "Assassin's Creed III", It might have been fit for the name as I Find an
    another big success in the Franchise.With its new-announced Recruits aren't really that helpfull but it sure made an Assassin
    Brotherhood an "Assassin's Creed Brotherhood"
    Score: 9/10

    This was one of the last games before the people making them stopped giving a shit about making the game good, and cared more about making money off of you. This game was one of the best games ever made and any hardcore gamer will tell you that. This was right around the time when the games started going downhill in general. The multiplayer was so fucking insignificant to the game and it got old after a few hours at most! Every AC game from here on out was a copy and paste job. And it will never come back, because Assassins Creed isn't about the cause of the Assassins anymore, it's about the commercials showing cool assassins with new tools and smirks on their faces jumping off of flaming ships! I remember when the game was about the god damn apple of fucking eden not revolutionary wars or conflicts! It was about sacrificing your life so that a tool used to control the people wouldn't wind up in the wrong hands. Ezio paralleled what we wanted to be like in our minds, and that's what a great game does, and Brotherhood did that remarkably.

    I regret not liking this game more now. It seems that the writing team for this series have forgotten what made the story so great. Yes, characters like Ezio are great, but the modern day story-line (and how it fit into Ezio's story) was so great because of it's intrigue and mystery. Everything seemed so hidden behind closed doors, and left to be desired and imagined by us. In Revelations (and especially AC3) we shift to the most generic 'Save the World' plot line. I miss these games :P

    Here is how the AC franchise just got better and better from AC1 to AC4:
    Ehh, don't think I have to explain why AC2 is better than AC1 (but lemme know if I'm wrong!)
    But yes, Brotherhood was better than AC2! I mean, it gave us the crossbow, made the gun fire faster, gave us the assassins system, made the loot more interesting and gave us a better playground for Desmond. In combat, it was easier to actually take the offensive rather than waiting for the chance to counterattack. And you could set your fast-equip weapons yourself! That’s in addition to little things like no longer accidentally mounting a horse just by getting too close to it, being able to customize the HUD, and being able to skip cutscenes. And you could buy maps for *all* the collectibles, not just the treasure boxes.
    Revelations improved on all *that.* They gave us very interesting backstory on both Altair and Desmond, along with closure for our friend Ezio. Gun and crossbow got even faster, the bombs were much better done, the hookblade was cool, the camera would finally spin all the way around Ezio while he climbed walls and stuff, and the assassins system was perfected. Also I came to really like the change in controls, because it meant I never accidentally shot my enemies with a crossbow when I was trying to stealth-kill the freaks (and had forgotten to "equip" the hidden blade, which should've always been "equipped" if you think about it).
    AC3. Finally got ourselves the weather system we should've been having all along. And not only that but it was *perfect* because at the end of the game we could actually set the season and time of day however we wanted it which was F'ing great. Combat was better, parkour was streamlined, tree-running was fun, naval missions were a blast, collectibles were more interesting, they not only brought in more animals but even let us hunt them!, stealth was improved for sheer number of places to hide, and the forts were better than the previous 2 games' Borgia Towers and Templar Dens. They allowed us to do all our shopping in a single store. Oh, and they finally did away with having to buy medicine or repair armor.
    And finally, AC4. Naval combat and exploration was obviously better, but so was the stealth. You had even more places to lure guards to while hiding, and the warehouses actually gave you incentive to practice your stealth there. Further, hunting had more relevance (and more sharks/whales!), and the money system was finally done right! The camera turned smoothly even while you were swimming, and notoriety finally got the hell out of town (literally)! :P

    • @Vic2point0
      @Vic2point0 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rahhimidoff I can only relate to story, but not that it was *boring,* just had really terrible pacing. I understood why Connor was the way he was; a lot of people don't stop and think about the differences between Native Americans (in that time) and Italian noblemen in Italy, but I digress. All of the stories in AC games are "linear" so Idk why we'd suddenly start complaining about it with AC3.
      I didn't like seeing Desmond die, not one bit. But it's not a *flaw* just because they did something that we didn't like! And to me, the setting was a breath of fresh air after so many games with crowded streets and tall buildings. They obviously wanted it to be authentic, so really tall buildings just weren't going to be there. Still, climbing and running through the trees in the Frontier was a blast, as was the parkour overall. It was also spiced up nicely by the weather effects.
      I do agree there were notably more bugs and glitches in AC3 than the ones before it, but nothing game-breaking IME.

    • @Rahhimidoff
      @Rahhimidoff 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vic 2.0 I have been playing AC since AC 1 and I was the most hyped for this game. I was so excited and even kept on making excuses in favour of it to myself but at some point, I decided to be honest with myself and see the game for what it is. I don't care if he is native American or Italian. he's just not interesting. Also older AC games had so many options. You could kill targets in so many ways. In AC3, those ways were sooo limited. It just really bored and frustrated me. for gods sake remember that mission with the guy on the horse telling you where to go? or that mission where you're defending a bridge or something with canons and you just go around telling people to fire? wtf?

    • @Rahhimidoff
      @Rahhimidoff 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vic 2.0 Yeah for me story is the most important and if the story is good, I decide to spend more time in the world. I did 100% in all the AC games before AC3 but have not ever since. Also I have a personal rule of no fast travel in any game that I play but if the story is boring or shitty, I just can't get into the game.

    • @Vic2point0
      @Vic2point0 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      TooCoolForYou "Well first off the story was better than every other AC game."
      That's bound to be subjective, but I would disagree. The only part of the entire story that I actually cared about was when Ezio's father and brothers were killed. But after that, it was just all these completely unmemorable villains and the love story with Cristina was utterly forgotten. And then at the end Ezio leaves Rodrigo alive because... they wanted to make Brotherhood? It was a *decent* story, not that great. I'd give Revelations best story though.
      "Gameplay was the best out if all including parkour, and fight."
      How do you figure? When AC3 came out, it made parkour faster and even added tree-running. It also took away the hassle of buying medicine and repairing armor, so you could stay in the action longer. And even before 3, Brotherhood and Revelations gave us a crossbow to make rooftop-running more interesting and free. I know AC2 had the gun but let's be real, that just broke the sense of being stealthy altogether.
      "Plot was exiting,"
      I've played it three times and can't remember anything *about* the plot if I'm honest. Except the aforementioned scene of course.
      "cities were beautifuly designed,"
      I would say that's true of *all* the AC games, except maybe AC3 (but the Frontier more than made up for it).
      "had all the good stuff from the previous AC game and improved them a lot"
      Well yes, as I detailed in the original comment, they *all* added improvements. Makes no difference how *many,* so long as each game improved on the one before it. That being said, AC3 probably would still win if we were going by sheer number of improvements, not sure.
      "You can't say a game is better than another just because the crossbow is a bit faster or/and they added a weather system"
      These are only two of the countless things I listed. And I see nothing wrong with that logic, particularly if a person arguing the contrary can't come up with that many things that got *worse.*

      ***** indeed, I sometimes instead of dodging normaly I use those litlle jumps that you can make during combat (on pc press w x2, d x2, s x2 a x2 depending on the direction you want to dodge) and try to get behind the enemy with the hidden blade when he strikes an do an instant kill, it's a little hard but its fun.

      Marcus Olsson I get your point, and I'm not saying that video games shouldn't be challendging, I'm just saying that challenge isn't assassin's creed's best point, and even being a non-challendging game, it's a damn good game.

    i try not to percieve the reviews with the number but rather the phrase underneath, ign said ac brotherhood was impressive and i really agree with them. after you hit a great game you start running out of words to describe them with. an 8 to me is still a really impressive game. i just wish there wasnt such a stigma with getting an 8, there isnt some sort of instant shit alarm that goes off when you reach an 8 point game, the games that are 8s are still pretty good.

  • @AlphaZeroX96
    @AlphaZeroX96 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the multiplayer more to be honest. It captures the feel of the first Assassin's Creed game. There's no hand-holding and streamlined nonsense, no hack and slash combat, it's challenging, you play as the Templars for the first time in the series, there's new abilities, and you truly feel like an assassin unlike in the single player. I like playing as the Prowler, and he's more awesome than Ezio in my opinion. I wish the multiplayer could be played offline with AI bots.

    We had it so good back then as gamers. I remember picking this up used at my local gamestop at the mall one June and playing it for the next month. It was amazing.
    The reason it feels so familiar is because that was a design choice since you are literally continuing on the gameplay from 2 which took place literally a second ago. Of course the game is gonna feel familiar. If it didn't it would break the flow of events. Why would you change up the game in a drastic way without having any lore to back it up?
    The 2nd game DOES have a better story overall, but this one includes kill streaks. I did not much care for the housing real estate agent part of the game, however. The music and attention to detail is spot on as usual when it comes to ubisoft world design. It's such a nice place to be. The graphics have aged really well and the controls are nice and smooth. But climbing the side of the prison is awkward because of the rounded walls and I often times, miss the landing. Horses do feel slow but still are much faster than running. I love the outfits and how you can dye them.

    Even 8.0 is probably too high for this. Story is worst in AC games, doesn't look like it was supposed to be a standalone game but an ending to AC2 that they never made. They fixed gameplay and graphics but I wish they'd just shipped AC2 year later with proper ending, Rome and all of those fixes.

    The Witcher 3 without RPG elements. I love Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, but it does have flaws. Brotherhood's flaws are having checkpoints, hand-holding, lack of AC1's features such as the tenants and eavesdropping, and having DLC. It's a wonderful game thought, and at least it's less streamlined than AC2. I love how Altair's robes are in the game. :)

    Ah, AC3 is a great game, but so many people's problems is: The try to play it with the old style. You have to play AC3 with a newer style, otherwise, the game will be garbage. It actually took me a second playthrough to realize this. And now I love the game more than the previous ones. That's the secret to playing Assassin's Creed games, not only do times change, but video games also change over time, it's the way it is, people seem to have a very hard time expecting this. :)

    Man you are very informative I have learned a lot here today. And I agree my opinion. The big 3 you mention they have totally screwed us gamers royally for yrs now. It kills me when you buy their game at $60 then they charge you for the extra content through season passes etc which obviously they could give it out for free to thank the fans for purchasing their product.Its very sicken to me wish I could go back to the old days of gaming. When company's had to earn your money and play time.
