Seraphim or maybe your just an ezio fanboy dont get me wrong ezio is awesome but i like connor better and besides theres an excuse with the glitches and that excuse is that they tried a new control system and its always been like that
I gave up on it. The user interface and controls are horrible. They had it nailed in AC 2 and changed it! They made shooting a bow and arrow boring. I spent more time fighting the controls than my enemies.
One Punch Guy it wasn’t a BAD game, but it was very hard for me to become engaged in it. Great content, but lots of bugs, glitches, rushed story with Conor. In the sense that they rushed him into being an assassin and the story was just meh. AC 2 and brotherhood are my favorite.
cardboard shelf It was very noticeable. For example, chasing someone you had to assassinate by the docks had a specific path you had to follow. There was this bug or glitch where it literally stopped you from moving for like 5 seconds, which had me fail the mission 12 times before passing it. It got ridiculous and I was literally itching at just getting the game done because that’s how many glitches there were.
My impression on each Assassin's Creed game AC1: Great, this first installment started off with a bang, however it hasn't aged very well. AC2: Legendary, it was the best in the franchise. There is a reason why it received a lot of critical acclaim and awards. ACB: Excellent, though it lacks the thrills of AC2 in terms of emotional story and soundtracks. ACR: Decent, but very stale due to the fact that it recycled a lot of mechanics from past AC games. The only thing that made it worth playing was the powerful story which poetically concluded Altair and Ezio's chapter. AC3: Astounding, this was a vast improvement over Revelations. While it had a strong story, characterization, memorable soundtracks, and innovative gameplay mechanics. The glitches and slow paced writing is what keeps this game from being a masterpiece. AC4: Breathtaking, the second best AC game next to AC2. Black Flag's atmosphere and gameplay is immersive as ever. The Golden Age of Piracy is one of the most rich, vibrant, and colorful time periods since the Italian Renaissance. While the storytelling here could use some work, but it certainly featured some unforgettable moments and characters, making it a worthy entry in the AC franchise.
I thought AC 3 was one of the worst tbh. Such poor design and main character. Some of the side quests didn't seem finished! But I agree with the rest. Black flag was surprisingly brilliant and now have high hopes for unity. We seem to be living in a time when devs are actually listening and responding. its great
TheTjam84 The mission ratings in Black Flag definitely shows that Ubisoft wants feedback from fans to see what missions they want to see return in another form or be scrapped completely.
Am I the only one that thinks this is the best Assassin's Creed game? I really liked second game too, but the open world, great story, as well as characters are my favorite in Assassin's Creed 3.
+Joe A. Verage In unity, do some side jobs before start the main missions, gain more money to buy a better sword, and then the problem is solved, they just massively decreased the sword damaging power at the beginning stage of the game.
i agree, i just got ACS a while ago cause i thought i was done with AC series after Unity and AC3, AC4 but i gave it a shot anyway cause most of the reviews are pretty good. IMO ACS is one of the best among 3 and 4, the combat is brutal but AC3 has more animations, combat techniques, and i dont know maybe it has more depth in combat?
I don't get people sometimes. Why does a character have to be a cocky womanizer to be interesting xD Connor is conflicting and interesting he doesn't need to say a punch line every 2 or 3 minutes and he shouldn't considering he's carrying his people's future on his shoulders. I loved AC3
I couldnt agree more. Connor was a really interesting character. I mean he was raised as a native and not some beer chugging party snob. imo 3,4 and Rogue is best trilogy in the series. They had the best DLCs too. The Tyranny of KW & Freedom Cry.
@@michachwastek5287 Incase you dont know. The devs confirmed that Connor Is the MOST brutal In assasin creed franchise, Tho not the strongest But He was the most brutal
Me too, during the time of its release, but they continued it with AC4, and so forth, that it just got too easy, and not much of a challenge. Hopefully, ACU will bring in something new to the combat system.
CosmicClefable35 ACU apparently has a massive overhaul of the first AC's combat, if that makes sense, like obviously not a downgrade, just that kind of needing precision accuracy to win and being outnumbered = death
If that's the case in ACU, then that'll be Interesting on how Connor would handle a crowd of guards if AC3 had the same Combat as ACU. He'd most likely mow them over.
it's a masterpiece hated by many ... but also admired for it's innovations and story ... i like it for it's character and costume ... where game was nowhere less history class ... in compare to others where story was just revolve around character ... i loved it it was my favorite...
Have you played the others? That's great you enjoyed it but I don't love it for me it goes Black Flag, Origins (I got of bored Origins after thirty -four hours ), then Revelations .
This game certainly wasn't my favorite, but I liked it. I even liked Connor. He hay not be as fun or charismatic as Ezio, but he doesn't need to be. Everyone is clamoring for a copy and paste of Ezio, but what can you expect from a Native American Assassin who watched his village burn down and who kills people for a living? If EVERY assassin was just like Ezio, that would disparage the variety we see in our assassins. This game wasn't the best of the series, but I do think it deserves more credit than it's receiving from audiences.
THAT IS EXACTLY WUT I'VE BEEN THINKING CONNOR IS HIS OWN MAN AND AFTER THE TRAGEDIES IN HIS LIFE IS IT SO HARD NOT TO BLAME HIM FOR HIS NEGATIVITY AND PERSONALITY.
***** well what about Altair? First his mother dies in front of him, then his father dies while saving another assassins then that same assassin commits suicide moments later. Not to mention al maulim (probably spelt it wrong) was like a father figure to him yet he betrayed him. He also had to kill many of his fellow assassins and his wife died in his hands as well.
Assassin's Creed 3 had the best story in the entire Franchise. It had emotional moments that would bring tears to your eyes and a very solid philosophical General story of Order Vs. Freedom. I think Connor was a very interesting character, because of his character development and that even though he doubted himself throughout the journey, he still powered through and finished it. He also made sacrifices for his cause. I loved the cut scene when he finds out that georoge Washington is responsible for his mother's death but he decides to help the colonists anyway, because it was the right thing to do, he was doing right by his cause. it showed how much he had grown from the angry kid that wanted to hunt Templars for revenge. Also, the Templars are very relatable and they have a point, they don't wanna do bad, they wanna do what they believe is right, and so do the Assassins , but they have different ideologies thus, they have to fight this endless war.
I didn't like Connor as much as Ezio or Edward. He just wasn't charismatic. Too serious all the time. He is my favorite character to play as though, his fighting style was just so much more brutal and fun than any other character's. I loved the tomahawks, and I hope we can use some in Unity.
Kloner22 I liked him because of his conviction and strength. Sure he wasn't as charming as ezio or as witty as Edward, but he had other qualities like his growth as a character and the fact that even though he had doubts, he didn't miss the chance to do the right thing and finish his mission no matter what. Edward also had a character arch, I just liked Connor's better, but I think character's something to learn from each character.
I feel like those that criticize the story for being "boring" are reading it too superficially, it's probably one of the Most interesting games out there. The game can feel empty at times Bc of the long ass hand holding at the beginning, which sort of ruins your desire to explore later on. Connor is a good character, and displays the western ideals vs the ideals of the natives really well, especially once he comes into contact with his father. I could go on and on but despite its flaws, best AC game for me
I always believed this game was a bit under appreciated. It made so many improvements to the series, and it's because of that I think this game is amazing. It's one of the best looking games on the last gen consoles, and has so much detail, the freedom of exploring is what makes open world games so appealing to me and there is loads of it you can do. The story progression is a bit slow but still solid in my opinion but the setting being in America during the revolutionary war was fresh and original. Perhaps the biggest improvement was the combat, it has never been better, it's so fluid and simplistic not to mention brutal as hell. Killing red coats never gets old and with some practice you can kill crowds of them quite easily. Bottom line yes this game had drawbacks but what game doesn't you can't please everyone and there will always be people bitching and moaning about something. Because in the end despite what critics and other gamers might have to say about the game, the only thing that matters is that you the individual gamer likes it, and that's all that truly matters.
If I was to rate the AC games based on the atmosphere and the affect they had on my mood, then I'd have to place this one in first, as if I'm honest, I loved the setting and enjoyed the pace. I grew to like Connor as a character as we played through his childhood and I found myself more intrigued by where the story was going with him then any of the previous games and characters. I mean I like Ezio, but I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon and claim my undying love to him like some have done. Personally Altair was my favorite assassin as he just felt so mysterious and awesome, but now I'm at a difficulty in deciding.
I don't understand why people are hating so much on this game... i spent 60 hours in ac 4 and nearly 100% it, and i bought ac 3 yesterday and i'm really enjoying it.
Vintax if you want to play as an Assassin buy ACIII but if you want to play as a pirate that puts on an assassin suit buy Black Flag. I prefer ACIII because it lin ACIV it loses the assassination style of the series, however the both are really fascinating games.
Nguyễn Hải Dương Yeah, that's why I was so hyped for unity, it got back to it's roots and improved upon 'em with y'know better graphics, animations, coop and a fricking crouching. Black flag, I didn't care, because it was not what I wss looking for in an assassin's creed game. I will play it though, but I don't take it as an AC game. Man, I wish AC got back to Ezio and Altair games set in Italy were the best and middle east was great too.
***** Lol. Sounds like IGN. But seriously, it's just that the ship gameplay may be a cool new idea and it's welcomed, in my opinion I think that it was overused in Black Flag. I think that it was better balanced in AC3.
+WolfLover45 yeah, and I think a lot of people didn't complete the homestead mission campaign. I think maybe at first they seem a little repetitive, but when you get deeper into the story line it gets more meaningful, especially the ending.
9/10-While this game did have technical glitches and froze on me twice, I still love it. The gameplay, story and setting all combine into this awesome experience that to me is extremely hard to match. My favorite action/adventure game of 2012
I'm half way through the game, and it's boring me already. i posted a comment in the comment section about my thoughts tho. so if i only have to play till i meet with haytam to be fun, then i'll bear with it.
5:52 "No other open world game has given us a setting that's as impressive to observe and full of things to do." Right, because Skyrim and Fallout just never happened.
are you brain damaged or just didnt look for other AC games? If you didnt knew AC2 gives you the story, gameplay, parkouring, open world game everyone liked for years, and still do as of this day.
I don't know what any of you people are talking about in the comments, this game is no where near a 7.5 it's an 8.5 - 9. The Worst games are AC1 and AC 2. AC 2 was a legendary game at launch and was great until Brotherhood came out, fixed the problems of 2 and added. The only better thing about 2 over BH is the story and pacing. AC3 is definitely not the worst of the series.
@@FreeRoamFTW nope. It is about a 7/10. Zero replay value because the prologue is literally half the game. And easily the worst combat in the entire series
Please tell me I'm not the only one who loved AC3 and AC4 right? I LOVE all of the games except for Revelations. I don't hate it, it just wasn't the best (really liked finding out about Desmond's backstory and the Altaïr bits though)
Pros and Cons of AC3: Pros: -One of the best historical settings on historical video games -Realistic Combat Fighting -Side Missions -Refined, Perfect Multiplayer -Spectacular Naval Combat -Historical Accuracy -Atmospheric feeling and setting towards the American Independence Cons: -Dull protagonist, mostly due to his straightforward motive of freedom -Some side missions can be completely useless and it just loose ties about the game itself -Bugs, frame rate drops. -Some moments were misleading and unforgettable; such as the battles that take place in the game. -An awful ending. Verdict: 7.9/10
The only thing i agree on is that sequence 9-11 built up such a good plot and 12 came along and dookied all over it with killing lee, literally no twist, or boss battle, just a chase.
+Kani Willis I thought the chase and final kill of Lee was the series best Assassination to date. Haytham was the final boss, and a damn good one too. Connor didn't want to kill Haytham, but his hatred for Lee made the final kill all the more poetic.
I'm surprised how many people praise the combat in this game. It's soo shallow just mashing one button to mow down everyone in your way without ever feeling like you're in control of it. It's all about flashy looking animations without any substance.
The combat is really easy, I'll give you that. But it's fun as hell and unbelievably satisfying (at least to me). Combat in Unity is my favourite but AC3 is a close second.
ACIII isn't utter garbage, there's a genuinely good game here, problem is it's hidden under a miasma of poor design choices, unnecessary mechanics, and lack of polish. If I had to give it a numerical rating, I'd give it an 8 at most, and that's pushing it, 7 or 7.5 feels more fitting.
shit...Far Cry 3 was a 9.5/10 for me, and Far Cry 3 was legendary. Now I can't hate on AC3 too much, I didn't play very much of it, however I had about 2-3 hours of gameplay and for what I saw it did not immerse me like Far Cry 3 did. Here is what I thought wrong with it: Bad polish(At least for PS3 version), tons of bugs, looking at this review it looks like hunting was bull shit, and I know about the previous connections about his costume in previous assassins creed, it looks cool and stuff, really neat. But wtf, he is an assassin, wearing loose, bright white and blue trimmed clothing doesn't really help you be an assassin now does it. He is Native American in this, why not get himself some Furs and blend in or at least blend in as just another Native American guy coming through. 6/10. But you know, I heard on this review its about 3 hours of bull shit anyway so maybe I will pick it back up and try to play it, but still I say the "First 3 hours" of that was complete utter bullshit that they messed up on
This is one of the best games I've ever played the story and setting were so good with the exception of Desmond's arc also Connor wasn't a bad lead a character doesn't always need to be charismatic to be appealing.
Connor Coffey Bruh wat, Connor was very serious in being an Assassin. He was basically the only one in America. but he showed emotions like his anger towards charles lee, and his love for achillies and his mother. And for care free I don't know what to tell ya'
nile vanood I think he played a different game... 0_o. He tried not to show a lot of emotion but throughout the game you can at least clearly see his annoyance of politics (Have you seen someone touch his shoulder and not get "the look"?) and politicians. There are loads of moments in the game he shows emotion though. I think this Connor kid is kidding :3
I think 8.5 is a pretty good score for this game. It's not perfect nor is it terrible but it is really enjoyable, fun, and a great addition to the AC franchise.
i gave to disagree with you imo ac unity is better than ac3, ac3 was a pain to play for me the story was boring and way to long (or at least it seemed long because it was boring), conner was a good and skilled assassin but I personally don't like his personality
fair enough, im enjoying unity, but i cant stand the combat lol. however i i think that most people dont like conner because hes a lot different from ezio, which is a good thing. where ezio was more wise and entertaining, conner is much more of a brutal killer who has defiantly had a shitty life and it shows through his bad temper and rudeness, he clearly knows that those he fights for are against the natives, but he has to fight for them because they share the same enemy, the Templar backed British. knowing this makes me understand why conner is like that which is why i find him a great character
+filmneek yea in unity Arno is much more of a stealthy assassin than the other which is why people are having trouble with the combat system every main assassin has something special to them Conners just happens to be combat
Grew up with the old games on consoles and handheld/mobile,now collecting the remastered versions. Anyone else still play AC3 on ps3? Currently playing AC2 Remastered.
actually this was my favourite ac game because of the desmond parts ........you finally got to battle abstergo .....i had been waiting for that since ac 1
Connor Coffey Maybe because some people did not like the emphasis on ships and pirates. The emphasis on cities and assassins was pretty minimal in Black Flag. That doesn't make it a bad game but it makes it a bit of a poor Assassins Creed game.
why does everybody think every assassin has to be just like ezio to be good, every time this game is brought up all I here is people comparing connor to ezio or not really comparing as much as just saying "if its not ezio, we must!! hate it!!!"
Personally I love AC III and it is my second favourite of the series so far (number 1 being IV: Black Flag). Also I like Connor and I think he is better than Ezio.
every human is different. every assassin is a different character. ezio was such a cool guy. Altair was like.. a fanatic. in a good way. Connor is animalistic, Edward .. a freaking pirate haha
Honestly, this is one of the most overlooked and underrated games in the series, second only to Rogue in that aspect. Everyone seems to claim AC4 was better but honestly, AC3 was the last AC game I was truly hyped for. AC4 is fun, don't get me wrong, but AC3 and Rogue just felt a lot more enjoyable to me.
DannyLrides Though I absolutely loved AC3, AC4 was better IMO because:1. Better sailing/naval combat.2. Slightly better stealth.3. No notoriety on land.and 4. Money was even more useful and challenging to collect, which made it feel more rewarding when you finally got a lot of it together.
AC1: 9/10 (great story, original, great gameplay) AC2: 11/10 (yes I know, this game was a masterpiece, I could give this game a 100/10) ACB: 9.5/10 ACR: 9/10 AC3: 6.5 (it wasnt terrible, it was just boring, but I dont want to give it lower than 6.5 because its a assassin creed game, come on) AC4: 10/10 (after AC2 this was the best AC game)
You're an AC fanboy. These grades mean nothing, because you are blinded by the downsides and just give every game a high rating. I do agree with what you said about ACII and ACIV though.
Pros: Haytham. I liked the setting and the tree climbing. Sea-combat.Visuals. Cons: Connor ( wooden character), Long load times, bugs, infuriating inventory system, auto-fail missions and other design flaws. Everything takes to long to do like managing inventory, selecting the map, fast travel etc. The wheel thing in which you choose weapons is badly implemented and sluggish. Seriously the wheel thing was done right back in 2010 in Red Dead Redemption. It feels like the game was done by several different dev teams. Question: Is it worth buying Black Flag? Sea-combat was a genius addition to AC 3.
This game's missions were really dull and boring. The frame rate is super low running around in the cities, there were so many graphical glitches. The combat is crap, just block and counter every enemy to death. The game felt empty which is odd since it was the biggest ac creed. Almost all the side missions were terrible fetch quests. The only part I enjoyed were the ship battles.
My Review for ACIII: Assassin's Creed III takes you from the Beautiful Italian Renaissance to the Streets of The Bloody American Reveloutionry War. Set from 1754 onwards, Players will explore the lives of People Dreaming of Liberty. Returning for His Final Chapter, "Desmond Miles" with his fellow Assassins Will finally find the answers they have been searching for 5 Games, As They have to live The Life of "Ratonhnhaké:ton" or commonly Known as "Connor Kenway" as you wittness his Life from a Young 5 Year Old Native Searching for truth and Justice into a Master Assassin whose Strength and Convinction to the Creed are unmatched. + Storyline: Assassin's Creed III Opens the world in Good Way But the First 6 Hours were Honestly a bit annoying but once You Get in the middle of the revolution Everything Changes. Connor makes an important in The Boston Tea Party, Battle of Bunker Hill and Battle of Cheaspeake Bay. Connor Himself had an Interesting Story as I Will find Players more SATISFIED with Him by the End of The Game. Desmond also has a Bigger role in this Game Than the Previous as He Faces His Rival Enemies once and For All and Discovering the Truth about "Those Who Came Before". + Gameplay: ACIII Changes Every single Gameplay Aspects As Navigation has been Simplified with new Freerunning Techniques By Pressing only one Button. Combat has been Improved to be more Fluid and Brutal than Before with the Iconic new Tomahawk. The Best new Gameplay Feautre in this Game is the "Naval Combat" as You Sail the Seas with the Captain of The Aquila and Battle Redcoats and Templar for the Contol of the Territory. Recruit System Return accompanied with Liberation Missions To be more exciting and Helpful than Ever. Some Sidequests, However, are not as satisfiying nor Useful as Most of them are really Annoying. Bugs and Glitches are also Present in the Game which Made Progress really Hard. + Graphics: There's no doubt That there Has Been a Big Push on Graphics From Revelations as The Frontier is Marvelous with its Dense and Creatures and The Cities of Boston and New York are Lively with Their People. + Music: This Time "Lorne Balfe" is Working alone on the Soundtrack But I Got to Say, even though its not "Jesper Kyd"'s Astonishing Soundtrack, But the Music and Main Theme Fits for The Setting as it Gives Both Feeling of Justice and Hope. + Multiplayer: Multiplayer Returns with the all-new Cooperative mode "Wolf Pack" where you and your Friends Assassinate Targets in a Precise Way either Reckless or as Masters of Stealth. not to Mention Domination and The Old Modes Like Wanted and Assassination. The Verdict: Assassin's Creed III is a Great Game if you Focus on Gameplay, Graphics and Story But some Factors Like The Annoying Sidequests and Glitches come in the way which will make Players feel Distant from Its Core. Score: 9/10
i wonder how this reviewer feels about AC Games now? This game set the new model for AC games with crafting and various side missions. All of which to me, are a welcome addition! Plus i don't know why IGN ripped on the Prsent Day Story. That is the most interesting part of the story! To me... that IS the main story!
I honestly don't know why so many people didn't like this game I loved the combat, naval battles, multiplayer and I thought that the whole Desmond side to the story was awesome probably my favourite part of the game other than the ending. I suppose the main problem was the beginning because it took to long to get going and when I played through it again to get a platinum trophy I did find loads more things that I didn't even realise initially.
Miguel Barcellos Aye, and the pass throughs introduced in AC3 are less frequent as well.. Plus the fact that the parkour in AC4 is actually harder than AC3, since the RT+B/ R2+O for dropping down is removed in AC4. I kept trying to do that while following targets, sometimes it just doesn't work and i jump pass the place i was wishing to get to, or i'd accidentally tackle the targets instead. Makes things quite frustrating.
In my opinion this is the best assassins creed game, the narrative is amazing, the combat is satisfying and the characters have so much personality and the Desmond parts are the absolute best
1. assassin's creed 2 2. Assassin's creed 4 3. Assassin's creed brotherhood 4. Assassin's creed 3 5. Assassin's creed 6. Assassin's creed revelations In my opinion 2 and 4 where ubisofts best assassin's games, the rest were just mediocre to just plain awful.
Am I the only person who thinks this is the best game in the series and who thought that Assassins creed 4 Black flag was a rushed filler game for Unity. Assassins creed 3 in my opinion has an amazing story and kept me entertained to try to get 100% and had an amazing DLC. Where as Black Flag hardly kept me wanting to stay involved and don't get my started on how disappointing it was that after all the game time you realize you never once join the creed and you are actually a templar for longer. I know a lot people say they cant connect to Connor but I think its the mysteries behind him that make me want to find out more about him and having played through his childhood and actually witnessing the death of a family member like in AC2 really helps develop a connection. Whilst I also agree that 2 was a great Game I also prefer brotherhood to it because it by this time in his life I already had a strong connection to Ezio and I found the story really enjoyable and loved the multiplayer a lot. My Rankings in order Assassin's Creed 3 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Assassin's Creed 2 Assassins Creed Revelations Assassins Creed Liberation (The Remake) Assassins Creed Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag Bloodline (Doesn't really count)
I KNEW IT! Lack of communication, unexperienced developers and lack of time. Thx Ubisoft, you ripped off all our expectations You may have done it right with AC4 but you just had to do it, didn't you?
my thoughts on each game AC1: nice idea not perfectly executed but has potential AC2: Borderline perfect fixed everything wrong with ac1 and a brilliant story and excellent characters to boot tied with black flag for my favourite in the franchise ACB: Very good with some interseting twist but feels just a TEENY bit like an extended dlc ACR: Honestly i loved very nice story and conclusion to ezio with some nice additions (hookblade and bombs and the tower defence minigame) AC3: i was never as hyped for a game in my life............and never as disapointed. the controls feel jumbled the world while big gives me no incentive to explore it. most of the characters and the story is forgettable. The only moments thats stand out to me are (SPOILER) . . haythem being a templar Vivec and Desmonds deaths and connor killing his blood brother. Charles Lee isnt interesting and while haythems interactions with conner had potenial but ultimatly led NOWHERE and i like to think i have a good memory but i cant even remember half the characters. extremely annoying side objectives like quicktime event hunting and lock-picking. this is my favourite home console franchise EVER and after this i almost didnt buy black flag. ACBF: brillant best story in the entire franchise fun, feely and the best case of character development i have seen in a long time. plus sailing... its the best nuff said
one of the best AC games ever in my opinion. Conner's character development was the best ive seen, from starting the game as his father, playing through a glimpse of his childhood, hunting as teenage native american, then watching him finally doning an Assassin outfit after months of training. when I seen the trailer for The Game and saw that it took place in the American Revolution my first thought was it was going to be boring. How wrong I was...
One thing that really bugged me was that the bought outfits didn't show in the cutscenes... Is it a problem with my game, or have anyone else experienced this as well?
lets not forget the sound effects and music...oh the music, soundtrack is just soo great omg it gives me goose bumps.
The Maniakmatt And the refined combat too. It's much more fun.
Azenji so smooth yes

Such an under-rated game, honestly doesn't deserve the hate it gets
Caleb Harris I agree I've never played an assassins creed game until now and this game is so much fun.

Question how bad are the glitches?
cardboard shelf It was very noticeable.
My impression on each Assassin's Creed game
AC1: Great, this first installment started off with a bang, however it hasn't aged very well.
AC2: Legendary, it was the best in the franchise. There is a reason why it received a lot of critical acclaim and awards.
ACB: Excellent, though it lacks the thrills of AC2 in terms of emotional story and soundtracks.

Female
Let's hope AC Unity is awesome as well
I don't remember me commenting "Female",,,,
I thought AC 3 was one of the worst tbh.
I feel you :D
It's my favourite besides from Ac4
+dar mar i liked ac4 more . it is almost the same as ac3 but with a bigger world and naval combat . but connor was a better assassin
+Neyen Squid Aka Neyen I love ac3 for the hunting, and I agree that Conner was a better assassin
+dar mar it is not my favorite but it was not as bad as people say
The combat in ac3 was far superior to syndicate from the animations to the mechanics. How does Ubisoft go backwards with it?
I agree, Connor is the most different and badass
+Joe A. Verage In unity, do some side jobs before start the main missions, gain more money to buy a better sword, and then the problem is solved, they just massively decreased the sword damaging power at the beginning stage of the game.
+Joey's third chin Too easy though
i agree, i just got ACS a while ago cause i thought i was done with AC series after Unity and AC3, AC4 but i gave it a shot anyway cause most of the reviews are pretty good. IMO ACS is one of the best among 3 and 4, the combat is brutal but AC3 has more animations, combat techniques, and i dont know maybe it has more depth in combat?
the controls on pc are far better in 3 than syndicate
I don't get people sometimes. Why does a character have to be a cocky womanizer to be interesting xD Connor is conflicting and interesting he doesn't need to say a punch line every 2 or 3 minutes and he shouldn't considering he's carrying his people's future on his shoulders. I loved AC3
I couldnt agree more. Connor was a really interesting character. I mean he was raised as a native and not some beer chugging party snob. imo 3,4 and Rogue is best trilogy in the series. They had the best DLCs too. The Tyranny of KW & Freedom Cry.
He was just as interesting plus Connor gets alot more backstory and his motivation was better
He had a personality it just depends whether you like or not
Well I didn't go search for the things I just said. I finished the game just yesterday. It just came to me.
His dad is classy AF tho
The reason this game is good- Connor's uniform is AWESOME LOOKING
Too bad Connor it self is bad

@@iSeeCorpses ok and ur point is?
I have to admit AC3 has THE BEST combat in the series(IMO)
Me too, during the time of its release, but they continued it with AC4, and so forth, that it just got too easy, and not much of a challenge. Hopefully, ACU will bring in something new to the combat system.
I agree. ACII it was still slighlty complex but was fun I mean who doesn't like jumping on a guy and hacking him o death with a tomahawk? LOL
The tomahawk is still the best weapon to me in the AC series. It's like the solution to every problem in the world.
Does anyone else think that the guy who did this review sounds like James Kidd from AC Black Flag?
it's a girl
Mat Fox James Kidd was also a girl
oh I honestly haven't played black flag
Completed it now.
Yo wtf true
it's a masterpiece hated by many ... but also admired for it's innovations and story ... i like it for it's character and costume ... where game was nowhere less history class ... in compare to others where story was just revolve around character ... i loved it it was my favorite...
We hated it cause it's so glitchy
this is my favourite assassins creed game ever
iLL MinD That's good to hear I'll have to check it out then.
This is not the best assassin's creed 2 black flag then origins
Edwin Narvaez ever heard of an opinion?
Have you played the others? That's great you enjoyed it but I don't love it for me it goes Black Flag, Origins (I got of bored Origins after thirty -four hours ), then Revelations .
Suit yourself. Its boring af
+Steven Birtcher I totally agree....you're the ONLY smart dude in this comment section......
THAT IS EXACTLY WUT I'VE BEEN THINKING CONNOR IS HIS OWN MAN AND AFTER THE TRAGEDIES IN HIS LIFE IS IT SO HARD NOT TO BLAME HIM FOR HIS NEGATIVITY AND PERSONALITY.
true, but didn't ezios family get killed in front of him too.
***** well still its true. And I recommend playing the first game. Its a bit repetitive but the story is solid and the character is good.
Connor Kenway
I full on agree
***** I'd tell you to upload a pic, but you're probably so ugly, I wouldn't wanna see your face anyway.
Worst. Story. Ever.
Worst. Game. Ever. (for an ac game)
Enough said.
People wanted change and they got it,yet they are hating on it.I Liked AC 3.
I could go on and on but despite its flaws, best AC game for me
+Hawxaw it had the best story in the entire sery imo
***** played all of them besides unity and syndicate, still stand by this.
This is one of my favorite games of last generation. The atmosphere and over all feel of the game was really unique.
I loved ac3
I loved it more
Kotaku doesn’t
People usually dislike that it takes a long time to start up. But when it opens up it's AMAZING.
I agree and i'd say even if it has a slow start it's still not half as bad as people describe it
should i buy this or ac4
Vintax if you want to play as an Assassin buy ACIII but if you want to play as a pirate that puts on an assassin suit buy Black Flag. I prefer ACIII because it lin ACIV it loses the assassination style of the series, however the both are really fascinating games.
Oh ok thank you for your opinion, ACIII is indeed a game that relates better to the original story
Am I the only one who liked Assassin's Creed 3 more than Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. I think Assassin's Creed 4 had to many ship sequences.
Black Flag has the best setting in my opinion and isn't as grindy.
Man, I wish AC got back to Ezio and Altair games set in Italy were the best and middle east was great too.
williamssekai FUCKING LOVERS OF GRAPICHS!
Daniel Antony What?
***** Lol. Sounds like IGN. But seriously, it's just that the ship gameplay may be a cool new idea and it's welcomed, in my opinion I think that it was overused in Black Flag. I think that it was better balanced in AC3.
Connor with the Mohawk and face paint? Awesome! Connor with dual wielded tomahawk and knife? Awesome! Connor with a bow? Awesome! 10/10
I think assassins creed 3 was the best assassins creed to be honest, just so much in it!
Hell yea!
+Jaxthefriendly1 completely agree
best yet, I hated all the boats on black flag
I want a freaking remaster on it!!!!! It deserves it!!!
My favorite action/adventure game of 2012
who hate it sucks . an who love it wons
This game actually got exciting once Connor met his father
that's comforting
Sebastian Ong What do you mean?
I'm half way through the game, and it's boring me already. i posted a comment in the comment section about my thoughts tho. so if i only have to play till i meet with haytam to be fun, then i'll bear with it.
Sebastian Ong Okay. Just keep playing, it gets alot better.
MrPhantom95 Just met haytam on the hunt for Ben Church. hope it escalates from there. Thanks btw
best assassin's creed i ever played 10/10 from me
χρονης κ. lol, nice try
5:52 "No other open world game has given us a setting that's as impressive to observe and full of things to do." Right, because Skyrim and Fallout just never happened.
I think she meant in a more action oriented, GTA III style open world.
3 and 4 are the best
Not really 4 is better than 3 .. In my opinion. . don't argue for that
+KINGDOM I won't argue, more power to ya👍
KINGDOM ezio and altairs games are better
Shinsuke Nakamura of course!! But I'm comparing 3 and 4
are you brain damaged or just didnt look for other AC games? If you didnt knew AC2 gives you the story, gameplay, parkouring, open world game everyone liked for years, and still do as of this day.
The haytham part was like hell
Lol
Yes so boring
Misli Martin fr tho
Pros and Cons of AC3:
Pros:
-One of the best historical settings on historical video games
-Realistic Combat Fighting
-Side Missions
-Refined, Perfect Multiplayer
-Spectacular Naval Combat
-Historical Accuracy
-Atmospheric feeling and setting towards the American Independence
Cons:
-Dull protagonist, mostly due to his straightforward motive of freedom
-Some side missions can be completely useless and it just loose ties about the game itself
-Bugs, frame rate drops.
Connor didn't want to kill Haytham, but his hatred for Lee made the final kill all the more poetic.
still one of the best ac games.not quiet as excellent as the second one but still pretty impresive even today
Kinda ironic how they got a Brit to do the review haha
I'd say 9.6 - 10.0 :C
Donghuffer Connor wasnt just uncharismatic, he was extremely dull
He's a bad main character. Super forgettable.

Maybe it's not the best game in the franchise, but Connor is the best assassin
He was so emotionless and care-free.
Connor Coffey Bruh wat, Connor was very serious in being an Assassin. He was basically the only one in America. but he showed emotions like his anger towards charles lee, and his love for achillies and his mother. And for care free I don't know what to tell ya'
nile vanood it just always seemed like he showed no emotion to anything. I don't think he's the worst assassin like many others think.
Connor Coffey I can understand where you're coming from.
nile vanood I think he played a different game... 0_o. He tried not to show a lot of emotion but throughout the game you can at least clearly see his annoyance of politics (Have you seen someone touch his shoulder and not get "the look"?) and politicians.
There are loads of moments in the game he shows emotion though. I think this Connor kid is kidding :3
While he was the most uninteresting Connor is the most badass fighter among AC protagonists :)

I think 8.5 is a pretty good score for this game. It's not perfect nor is it terrible but it is really enjoyable, fun, and a great addition to the AC franchise.
Does any one else think this person sounds like captain Kidd from ac4
Thought Black Flag was much better, but AC3 wasn't nearly as terrible as the internet makes it out to be.
one of the most underrated video games of all time in my opinion, i loved assassins creed 3.

I’ve played the original 19 times and the remastered 4 times. Thats how much I love this game
My favorite is ac2
Validated
It's my favourite in the series. Conner is a great character and a nice departure from the smoothness of ezio
i gave to disagree with you imo ac unity is better than ac3, ac3 was a pain to play for me the story was boring and way to long (or at least it seemed long because it was boring), conner was a good and skilled assassin but I personally don't like his personality
fair enough, im enjoying unity, but i cant stand the combat lol. however i i think that most people dont like conner because hes a lot different from ezio, which is a good thing. where ezio was more wise and entertaining, conner is much more of a brutal killer who has defiantly had a shitty life and it shows through his bad temper and rudeness, he clearly knows that those he fights for are against the natives, but he has to fight for them because they share the same enemy, the Templar backed British. knowing this makes me understand why conner is like that which is why i find him a great character
+filmneek yea in unity Arno is much more of a stealthy assassin than the other which is why people are having trouble with the combat system every main assassin has something special to them Conners just happens to be combat
Grew up with the old games on consoles and handheld/mobile,now collecting the remastered versions.

Ac2 is good
Why is captain james kidd reviewing this?
I actually liked this a lot. More so than black flag even. Couldn't even finish that one.
Explain
what
Connor Coffey Maybe because some people did not like the emphasis on ships and pirates. The emphasis on cities and assassins was pretty minimal in Black Flag. That doesn't make it a bad game but it makes it a bit of a poor Assassins Creed game.
SPOILER ALERT: U should finish it. It's relieving how u can finally air assassinate Laureono Torres in the observatory.
RevanBladeZ I like both, but yeah youre right about the minimality.
Why so many dislikes??

why does everybody think every assassin has to be just like ezio to be good, every time this game is brought up all I here is people comparing connor to ezio or not really comparing as much as just saying "if its not ezio, we must!!
Connor is animalistic, Edward .. a freaking pirate haha
youre just going around spreading hate on connor huh?
nope
Honestly, this is one of the most overlooked and underrated games in the series, second only to Rogue in that aspect. Everyone seems to claim AC4 was better but honestly, AC3 was the last AC game I was truly hyped for. AC4 is fun, don't get me wrong, but AC3 and Rogue just felt a lot more enjoyable to me.
Best Assassin's Creed I've ever played still to this day!
A lot of the combat mechanics and animations that were introduced in AC3 were taken out in AC4 and Unity so what exactly makes ac4 better?
DannyLrides Though I absolutely loved AC3, AC4 was better IMO because:1. Better sailing/naval combat.2. Slightly better stealth.3. No notoriety on land.and 4. Money was even more useful and challenging to collect, which made it feel more rewarding when you finally got a lot of it together.
People liked the sailing. Personally, I thought AC3 was really fun and had the best combat in the whole series.
Ph0be I will give it "best combat", sure. Or at least I seem to remember thinking the combat in AC4 was slightly inferior to the combat in 3...
+DannyLrides AC 4 combat feels weak compared to AC III. In battle, Connor was a freaking machine.
AC1: 9/10 (great story, original, great gameplay)
AC2: 11/10 (yes I know, this game was a masterpiece, I could give this game a 100/10)
ACB: 9.5/10
ACR: 9/10
AC3: 6.5 (it wasnt terrible, it was just boring, but I dont want to give it lower than 6.5 because its a assassin creed game, come on)
AC4: 10/10 (after AC2 this was the best AC game)
You're an AC fanboy. These grades mean nothing, because you are blinded by the downsides and just give every game a high rating. I do agree with what you said about ACII and ACIV though.
guys ever heard about opinion? these grades are in MY opinion.
When I started playing AC3, it was extremely boring, and I stopped. I started back playing about 2 months agi, and I really got into it :D
Started playing AC IV, lovely game. At sequence 10 now and enjoying it a lot. Graphics are amazing on the PS4, but not giving it a grade yet.
Your comment: 4.5/10
HIGHLY EXAGGERATED.
Let me just say this. It is a good ac game. Idk why people hate it so much. Not everyone can be ezio
cant believe i can play this on the go now with my switch this is my first game for it
Am i the only one who thinks that AC 3 is the best one? (except AC 4 which i have not played yet) ?
I did, but then I got AC4.
I remember playing this game and its so underrated. I dont understand those idiotic peoples that say this game is bad.
Why is James Kidd giving the review?
Who else came here because of uplay?
I did, but i already played it on ps3 some time ago :D
This game's missions were really dull and boring. The frame rate is super low running around in the cities, there were so many graphical glitches. The combat is crap, just block and counter every enemy to death. The game felt empty which is odd since it was the biggest ac creed. Almost all the side missions were terrible fetch quests. The only part I enjoyed were the ship battles.
They just hated it because it had a native as a playable character.
My Review for ACIII:
Assassin's Creed III takes you from the Beautiful Italian Renaissance to the Streets of The Bloody American Reveloutionry War.
+ Storyline:
Assassin's Creed III Opens the world in Good Way But the First 6 Hours were Honestly a bit annoying but once You Get in the middle of the revolution Everything Changes.
+ Gameplay:
ACIII Changes Every single Gameplay Aspects As Navigation has been Simplified with new Freerunning Techniques By Pressing only one Button.
+ Graphics:
There's no doubt That there Has Been a Big Push on Graphics From Revelations as The Frontier is Marvelous with its Dense and Creatures and The Cities of Boston and New York are Lively with Their People.
+ Music:
This Time "Lorne Balfe" is Working alone on the Soundtrack But I Got to Say, even though its not "Jesper Kyd"'s Astonishing Soundtrack, But the Music and Main Theme Fits for The Setting as it Gives Both Feeling of Justice and Hope.
+ Multiplayer:
Multiplayer Returns with the all-new Cooperative mode "Wolf Pack" where you and your Friends Assassinate Targets in a Precise Way either Reckless or as Masters of Stealth. not to Mention Domination and The Old Modes Like Wanted and Assassination.
The Verdict:
Assassin's Creed III is a Great Game if you Focus on Gameplay, Graphics and Story But some Factors Like The Annoying Sidequests and Glitches come in the way which will make Players feel Distant from Its Core.
Score: 9/10
i wonder how this reviewer feels about AC Games now? This game set the new model for AC games with crafting and various side missions. All of which to me, are a welcome addition! Plus i don't know why IGN ripped on the Prsent Day Story. That is the most interesting part of the story! To me... that IS the main story!
8.5 !!? it should be 9.5 or 9.8 . for me it's the best game in my life ( that means better than gta 5 )
finally some one else who loves this game i thought i was the only one
What on earth is the name of the song that starts at 0:40?!?
Darude Sandstorm
It's called Beer and Friends and it's from the official Assassin's Creed III soundtrack by Lorne Balfe :)
Tobi Kuyinu OMFG DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU JUST SAVE MY LIFE :D
It's a pleasure :)
The glitches that's why
Least favourite ac game. Story was boring. I preferd the naval missions to the actual story
Well then shut up I don't go on AC2 reviews to hate.
Oh, how I miss the double counter animations - why where they discarded in Black Flag? I loved them.
They are still in AC4, just they happen way less often
Miguel Barcellos Aye, and the pass throughs introduced in AC3 are less frequent as well.. Plus the fact that the parkour in AC4 is actually harder than AC3, since the RT+B/ R2+O for dropping down is removed in AC4. I kept trying to do that while following targets, sometimes it just doesn't work and i jump pass the place i was wishing to get to, or i'd accidentally tackle the targets instead. Makes things quite frustrating.
am i the only one who thinks that ac3 is the best ac yet (even better than ac syndicate)
I ac 2 is the best
Ubisoft please remaster ac 3 for next gen
jay 99 and we got it. But they didn’t really emphasize much on the remaster part of it besides lighting.
I'd give ac3 a 6/10.
Why?
The story is sort of uninteresting. The combat get's tired. The characters aren't likable. The biggest problem is that it drags on in a lot of places.
hrcr101 i can only agree on one thing, the combat can get quite boring and its so simple and with that it does get tiring
Thts true I still play
In my opinion this is the best assassins creed game, the narrative is amazing, the combat is satisfying and the characters have so much personality and the Desmond parts are the absolute best
What's the song at 0:42?

6. Assassin's creed revelations
In my opinion 2 and 4 where ubisofts best assassin's games, the rest were just mediocre to just plain awful.
Jason Moore but why is revelations there? I mean its cool that you put assassins creed 3 there, but why is revelations there?
My Rankings in order
Assassin's Creed 3
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed 2
Assassins Creed Revelations
Assassins Creed Liberation (The Remake)
Assassins Creed
Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag
Bloodline (Doesn't really count)
I KNEW IT! Lack of communication, unexperienced developers and lack of time. Thx Ubisoft, you ripped off all our expectations
You may have done it right with AC4 but you just had to do it, didn't you?
Some other development team should do it
AC1: Good when it came out
AC2: The best of them all
ACB: OK
ACR: Same
AC3: Good
AC4: Great
what was so cool at AC 2? To be honest it was boring for me.
my thoughts on each game
AC1: nice idea not perfectly executed but has potential
AC2: Borderline perfect fixed everything wrong with ac1 and a brilliant story and excellent characters to boot tied with black flag for my favourite in the franchise
ACB: Very good with some interseting twist but feels just a TEENY bit like an extended dlc
ACR: Honestly i loved very nice story and conclusion to ezio with some nice additions (hookblade and bombs and the tower defence minigame)
AC3: i was never as hyped for a game in my life............and never as disapointed. the controls feel jumbled the world while big gives me no incentive to explore it. most of the characters and the story is forgettable. The only moments thats stand out to me are
(SPOILER)

haythem being a templar Vivec and Desmonds deaths and connor killing his blood brother.
ACBF: brillant best story in the entire franchise fun, feely and the best case of character development i have seen in a long time. plus sailing... its the best nuff said
This was my favourite AC game!
just watched the Revenant and now i want to play this game.
Nick Fernandez dont worry its gonna be for free on december 7 on pc. Its a very good game and fun
its free on uplay now
one of the best AC games ever in my opinion. How wrong I was...
ac 2 and black flag are best
It loads slowly because you're playing on a foking outdated DirectXbox 360.
The best assassin's creed ever made..
One thing that really bugged me was that the bought outfits didn't show in the cutscenes... Is it a problem with my game, or have anyone else experienced this as well?
