    The rear end still looks good. However the front end from the side is not as sleek. Probably looks better in person and other colors. Also the aero wheels here are a little over designed. Still going to be one of the best looking new electric cars out based on this. Compared to the bloated puffer fish Benz. The Taycan is still safely the best looking electric car

      I completely agree. If the concept wasn't so good and unrealistic nobody would of complained since the final version looks great. It just needs bigger and better wheels.

    In my opinion the biggest loss were the wheel arches. Completely missed on the sporty wide arches of the original concept.

    • @kpcasey
      @kpcasey 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yep. They added height between the top of the arch to the hood/rear and that added to the beltline of the whole car making it a MESS. Ugh. Sleek to amorphous.

    The rear end design has grown on me after seeing it a few times at different angles. People taking a dump on it for not looking like the concept or comparing it with a porsche should understand that it's a value EV that looks well above its price range.

    First thing that came to mind when I saw it was the AMG GT 4 Door, mainly the shape and the way the rear end looks from the side. I also think that the front bumper area looks strange and..over-designed? I just feel like there’s a lot happening in that section.
    Other than that, I do like the design quite a bit, even if it doesn’t fully resemble the concept. I love the quirky and wild designs Hyundai and company are coming out with lately. They’re clearly having fun in the design department

    Great design but hmmm.
    The front end shape is giving me pause. It just doesn't line up with the rest of car proportionally.
    Feels pinched with that steep dip and should've extended out further to preserve the sleek line.
    Guessing Hyundai thought the car would be too long

  • @budja1501

    The black plastic part that hugs the rear door shut line and continues to the rear bumper doesn’t work too well. It looks unfinished to me. The front fascia is almost there, they just need to remove two or three extra elements from it- it’s a bit too complicated. Ultimately this is a very unique design, and a lot had to be changed for production, and there are many successes with the design

    When I saw the rear of this car, I instantly thought of the 2023 Genesis G90's tail lights albeit, a little more simplified. In fact, the whole car reminds me of a Genesis if I'm to be completely honest here. I actually like the overall design of this car and let's not forget that pictures don't do cars justice. It seems like it will look better in the same gloss black paint that the prophecy used. The silver worked for the ioniq 5 because that was boxy but not so for a sleek saloon. You'd want a darker colour to hide the lines so it appears even sleeker.

    I haven't liked many of this guy's videos. If he's whining about how the concept is not captured in the production version, I remember how GM used to have real show cars that invoked the styling direction that the company was pursuing in its heydays of the 1950's and 1960's. Realistically styling concept cars only provide a DIRECTION, not the actual production version. I love how this vehicle has incorporated interior space while maintaining a unique look that instantly makes the Tesla models look 20 years old. What Hyundai has done is to take the concept and to turn it into something practical.

    It literally looks like an unknown Chinese car manufacturer trying to copy the Merc CLS..

    Sadly the magic of the prophecy is gone. This „small“ changes makes some big difference.
