Shane is a 1953 American Technicolor Western film starring Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur and Van Heflin. Released by Paramount Pictures, the film is noted for its landscape cinematography, editing, performances, and contributions to the genre. The picture was produced and directed by George Stevens from a screenplay by A. B. Guthrie Jr., based on the 1949 novel of the same name by Jack Schaefer.[8] Its Oscar-winning cinematography was by Loyal Griggs.

Shane , having been an AMERICAN hit series; why can't they find an English speaking NARRATOR ? This guy must be related to one of the producers; ANNYOING as the script on Shane in which the little boy's one line , seemed that of SHOUTING, the name ' Shane, Shane Shane " and the comments coming from a "little boy" weren't very realistic "to the times" in which the movie was "set" either; what the heck? Who put that in the script? The manner in which the State and USA is stated, is as if the narrator doesn't think the world knows that California is a state IN the USA. ? Should have just gone to another Shane Show rather than clicking on this guy getting paid to ANNOY us.

Interesting that there is a pic of Brandon DeWilde who was still handsome 30 y.o when he died in a crash in 1972.
This kind of misrepresentation is annoying and unfair.
SHANE was actually filmed in 1951, but not released until 1953.

Technically, it was also a short lived series, in the 1960's, starring David Carridine, i.e. the (Kung Fu) guy!
