But regardless of all his eccentricity Brando played the role of Vito Corleone to perfection and Al Pacino played his role of Michael Corleone to even greater perfection.
@padmusic387 Hey, when it comes to these two, there's absolutely no comparison to anyone else. You must be a fan of this great character actor known as John Wayne. 🤣🤣🤣
It sounded like Brando was a difficult person to work with and had pretty bad emotional problems. Even though he was a great actor in some of his movies, it sounded like he had an oversized ego.
I really like more than Brando as an actor when I was eight years old and saw on the waterfront, even as a child, I was amazed. However, I can see how he was dedicated to his acting ability however, he shouldn’t of picked on other people or put anyone else down.
You weren't paying attention. The studio didn't really want Brando. That's why they offered the reduced salary. It's kind of like when the New York Yankees offered Babe Ruth a contract for $1. They didn't want to take the heat for cutting him; but, who could blame the team if Babe quit?
You have to remember that he was considered box offic poison at the time. I think the last movie that he had done which made a profit was Sayonara, which was in the late 50's.
I can only judge by what I watch on screen, and Brando in The Godfathether was his only screen appearance that I enjoyed, I never rated him. Paccino on the other hand? was brilliant in the Godfather and went on in the same manner over the years without deteriorating.
I heard that it was Coppola who grabbed the cat and shoved it into Brando's hands for the scene. This video is saying Brando picked up the cat. Are you saying you just don't believe it was spontaneous at all? We'll never know, but stuff like that happens!
The Godfather had as much to do about Indians and Indian portrayals in Hollywood as it had to do with penguins. This is about the time I quit bothering with watching the Oscars.
So who is more of a PIG, Brando, or the the heads that let him on the set, even though they hated him? Especially the ones who allowed him to play in Superman The Movie with what he made off that.
Weak directors who can't handle their stars are a liability. The director of Mutiny on the bounty needed to man up and tell Brando, "I'm the director, not you, Marlon, we'll do it my way
Coppola handed the cat to Brando. If the cat was feral, it wouldn’t have allowed anyone to handle it. AI needs to go back to school

Compared to whom?

@@padmusic387compared to most actors in films that early decade
@@marcomustang876 I agree. Thanks.
Kind of funny to say that Coppola visited the elderly actor on Muholland Drive, as Brando was not even 50 at the time.
@@elnick1000 50 stone?

Read "Brando for Breakfast" by his ex wife.
The Ego was even bigger then him in later years.
I agree. Brando seems to be an unhappy person in general.

Great Call……Allen😊
Brando was paid $50K for The Godfather...the studio made billions.....jeeze,I wonder why he was mad lol

That can't possibly be true.
Look at who ran the studios 🇮🇱
At 6:45 the A.I. thinks Francis Ford Coppola is a she. 🗿🗯.."Oh mannnn."
I saw The Godfather at a DRIVE IN Movie Theater on The Island of Long in the Town of BayShore, NY. 😊

Is the Godfathether a good film, haven't seen it
I never believed that story about the feral cat. Not even as a little boy.

@bartstewart8644 In Hollywood! Dreams come true! 😂
Brando was a known jerk from the very beginning of his career.
Trevor Howard was a class act - a better actor than Brando, he was more than qualified to call the prima donna out for being the total prick he was.
That was John Belusi (playing Brando) across from Elliot Gould in the SNL episode not James Caan
A Great Actor... Yes... But an Egotist... For most of His career, He was Conceded fed by Critical Praise...
How is 47 "elderly"?
I think Brando was an arrogant, self absorbed jerk…
Say what you must about his character but I see something different , here is a man of principles who was ahead of his time
The Godfather had as much to do about Indians and Indian portrayals in Hollywood as it had to do with penguins. This is about the time I quit bothering with watching the Oscars.
John Gilbert? I think you mean John Gielgud.
I know why - they plundered the cannoli tray before Marlon could reach it!
Sacheen Littlefeather?…you mean Maria Louise Cruz…she made Elizabeth Warren look like a truth teller😂….Brando, PT Barnum to the end.

What do you know?
@VintageClips-rf7kt many amazing and fascinating things🤔
There's only one godfather...
It was a masterpiece.
2 & 3 aren't on the same level at all
Colin Kappernick, nothings changed.
Elderly?
Don't analyze. Flip burgers instead,
Why does the narrator continue to call Copolla "she"?
Because "the narrator" is actually an A.I
Can you get to the point! Not interested in Brando's biography,; A&E covered that quite well years ago!
A lot of unproven gossip- useless video.
Make sure you warch "The Offer" It's excellent.
