Also some obscure characters would be fun to see like Otis from Back at the Barnyard, Bessie B Highenbottom from Mighty B, maybe even Charlotte and Vendetta from Making Fiends would be a deep cut!
I would compare Ember to Cloud actually. Her neutral and side b and similar to his and share his forward and up air attacks. Her cheer meter is also similar to limit which when fully charged you get one of your specials powered up except you can't charge your limit.
strong up air and forward smash look very similar to Pyra's

Tbh ember seems a lot like cloud. She has basically limit, her forward air is straight up clouds fair, her recovery is *mediocre*, her back air is similar, neutral special and side special work pretty much like blade beam and cross slash. Conclusion: Ember = better Cloud

Lol well, not "better cloud" because he's top tier, often considered top 10 out of 89 characters. Ember is meh and likely won't crack top 10 out of 25 characters.
But she definitely has a cloud feel with her moveset.

@spritamsel4929 that is objectively incorrect. Most top players have him in top 10, the official tier list has him in S tier as #10, and he has results to back it up.

Korra is a heavy-hitter like Ganondorf, the main difference is that she's very mobile. I guess the most similar I can think of is Charizard, minus the stance change

As for Gerald, I'd say he's kinda like Luigi and Villager with his floaty movestyle and difficult but awesome mechanics. He is also like Hero with his down b. I'd also say Gerald is kinda like Sonic with his bike and skateboard attack

I know you compared Amber to Fire Emblem characters in general but I personally feel that Korra is specifically the Byleth equivalent. Lots of disjoits that hit hard but don't have the best frame data, as well as a pretty versatile set of moves utilizing various weapons (in her case, elements).

I can see what you're saying, but to me, Korra plays a bit more like Terry mixed with Ryu/Ken and Kazuya. A heavy hitter who has low mobility but amazing attack power.

When I first played Ember, I immediately went “She’s just Cloud” given how her down special works kinda like the limit charge and when it’s full her specials are changed to enhanced versions of themselves.
The Mewtwo comparison to Danny is ironic for two reasons;
1. Psychic is weak to ghost
2. Danny does have a Pokemon's voice in Japanese (Lucario, Mewtwo's opposite for the Smash games)
2.5 And in Gen 4 when Lucario was introduced, Fighting was unable to hit ghost, while steel was resistant to ghost.

I'd say Squidward is like Wii Fit Trainer in that his attacks aren't really conventional punches
My big question is does the game have Stick Jump? (Jump with the control stick instead of a dedicated button.) I got too used to it in Smash.
It's even a toggleable option together with a few other mechanics very similar to Ultimate, so you should be good to go
Angry Beavers, with the brown one in particular is also like Megaman in him using the spinning tornado rush move.
These comparisons would make some lovely fan art.

6:34 So Ren&Stimpy is the closest we got to a Dribble and Spitz tag-fighter..
I play EarthBound and Animal crossing characters in Smash. Going to have to think a bit more before deciding a main in this game since no one strongly resembles them. I played Zim in the first game but he feels a bit too different here since he's more like Rosalina, compared to the first game where he felt more like a Bowser Jr type of character.
Also Donatello feels more similar to Cloud than Greninja in my opinion.

We need these Two Smash Veterans to be in Nick All Star Brawl 2-
Sonic The Hedgehog and Ryu From Street Fighter
Since The 1st Sonic Movie aired on Nickelodeon
And TMNT and Street Fighter did a comic crossover recently (That plus the TMNT showed up in Street fighter 6)
Jenny's more of a Paluenta and mega man and hybrid imo, because she has a bit of everything. Good range, multiple projectiles, pretty killer mid range, a terrific back air and great hard-read punishes, but her gameplan is very straight forward and can fall apart if you rush her down before she gets the chance to do so herself.
I’m surprised that some these characters are comparable to Mii Fighters, that’s really something else.🙂

In my opinion Ren & Stimpy are also comparable to Duo Duck Hunt.
For April, I'd say she's kind of a mix between Isabelle and Zero Suit Samus. A good recovery move like Isabelle and an agile fighter like Zero Suit Samus

Korra doesn't play the same in this game like the first game. Also not like Samus regardless of similarity of one or two moves.
I think you could also add to reptars profile captain falcon and charizard to go with bowser and yoshi
Lucy got a corrin back air. Peach float, kazuya up b, joker with arsene up b,K'rool up b, Sephiroth wing, Belmont heavy down air, greninja side b, or zelda up if preformed side ways, Light mythra down air, Ness like throws, Shulk back air as a heavy smash,
Wolf neutral b movement shift, villager forward smash, zelda up smash in the air with a k'rool esc up air boost, Isabelle down tilt and shulk side tilt.
Gluttony is definitely gonna main Ren and Stimpy as he is the best Wario in the world
those tmnt players are quite skilled at some amazing maneuvers 🤔

Ember reminds me of cloud, raph reminds me of Sheik/Joker and Danny reminds me of me of ZSS with is neutral special, a intangible special that you can attack out of and his up light arial reminds me of her up-air

Danny is like ZSS mixed with Mewtwo. A fast glass cannon character who hits hard but has poor defense stats.
Raph personally reminds me a bit of Meta Knight and Diddy Kong (especially his down b)
Should we compare the DLC Rocksteady to King K Rool? They’re both heavy they both attack with gun like weapons.

Honestly, its a lot harder to compare these two games because all star brawl has almost twice the amount of moves than smash

Yeah. A heavy hitter who packs a punch, but with a not so good recovery move. She's basically a mix of Little Mac, Ryu/Ken, Kazuya, and Terry
Ember has some cloud aspects but realistically….donnie is cloud. Almost all his moves are clouds they just resemble the smash 4 cloud hitboxes with the massive hair, massive up air that can scoop, and even his up special which is the exact same except it doesn’t go back down but sliming it is legit just limit up b
Squidward is actually closer to Wii Fit Trainer. All of their aerials are just poses and no actually fighting.
This game wont kill smash in a long shot even IF they improved the 1st title(just a little bit), doesnt mean Smash Bros wont be dead since its way better than ALL Smash Bros clone regardless because you can customize team battles from 1vs1, 2vs2 or 1vs3, but all the other Smash Clones cant do that, which is why all of those clones WONT KILL Smash Bros no matter how improve it is.

I haven’t followed the development or release of this game, but isn’t it missing a bunch of fighters from the first game? Why aren’t they here? They were pretty much fully developed already. Hopefully they’ll get there with updates. A fuller roster would do this game good.
