Hopefully they keep the hype train going and not let it die like in the original game. Smash Bro’s is still considered the best Platform Fighter but seeing how Nintendo has been really strict about Tournaments, I hope this game will be a another alternative for viewers who like Platforms Fighting tournaments.
Hopefully, this game lasts longer than a month, unlike the first game.

If the smash community would actually be open to try new things then there wouldnt be any bashings. Besides, sinces it's part of the playstation tournament lineup it opens the floor for anyone to compete. For actual prizes too
The first game wasn't gonna make it anyway with it being broken and no crossplay to keep it alive. Voice acting and all the other stuff is good but it wouldn't have saved the first game from its doom

The 1st one did NOT have the same love, care, and quality polish that this game has and it shows. Competition breeds innovation, innovative breeds excellence. Stop being such a stickler and be open to new things, no women likes a stickler after all.
Wow it seems the reviewer really played the game and know the genre.
I'm so happy this game looks fun as anything. Glad they moved it to release a little bit after the week it was supposed to be originally released in. Also I wish the campaign mood was a bit more like Subspace.
I just hope the cast gets bigger, the character's they cut from the prequel will be missed.
(Mainly the turtles- would've been cool to see them all)
DLC is already confirmed and we're getting Zuko, Iroh, Mr. Krabs and Rocksteady

I think it’s a huge misstep to twice in a row only have half of the tmnt. I’ll probably wait for a sale on this one because of it.

i think the biggest problem with platform figters is we always go into them with smash in mind and judge everything based on what smash did i feel we need to see these games as their own individual games with their own things to offer it will definitely help you appreciate them alot more
As much as I agree, Smash will ALWAYS be the superior game.
If Nintendo made this game, I would be playing A LOT.
Looks like they actually added hit stun too, but not sure they added enough, will need to try it out sometime.

They’ve come as long way. Glad I got the preorder sale though switch version is code in box bs so I got ps4, let alone ps5 will load it faster as switch was like 30 seconds.

I never got a chance the own the 1st game, got to play it with my friends once and liked it. Now I *REALLY* hope I can get the 2nd game. And maybe King of Skill can make some more montages on this game.
They're going to have similar issues that TvC and Injustice where you can burn meter to save yourself so no one will use meter for anything else and all of these flashy attacks will never be seen.
As someone who is turned off by the cuts to the roster. I don’t think (and want to be really wrong) this game will not last. Hugh was a big bad move to remove. Yes he was pushed as a meme fighter BUT he became a big want as a return. Shredder being a boss is understandable for a removal. But characters that were sure safe was Sandy (Which the game dialogue hints she is the first veteran to get added back IF it happens) and Lincoln. Hugh I feel the devs should fight for. But overall its a good game, just don’t see its replay value exciting unless they give you rewards for other characters in a campaign.
I'd rather have 25 well designed fleshed out characters that having 36 samey messy characters
They made the right call cutting those characters than bloating the roster with unrefined unpolished fighters
Jake, that's an in-depth review if I've ever seen one. It shows GameXplain has a lot of love for this project, and rightfully so. This looks genuinely fantastic. The effort put into these games is very much apparent. I adore all of the fun little references and faithfulness to the characters' personalities and their source material. Nickelodeon fans will have a blast for sure.

I have Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 1 on a Nintendo Switch what I bought in october from a sale, I should trying playing it, watching this review and after thinking do I wan't to buy this secuel Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2. As a fan of Garfield, Spongebob, Avatar, Danny Phantom and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Nickelodeon cartoons I'll think this game would be really nice for me. I like this is an almost like a copy of Super Smash Bros or Multiversus but still this is it's an own game and I'll see how this is diffrent one and I really like those characters have a voice acting. Those characters looks nice and arenas looks so beautiful. Maybe i'll buy this Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 if I like a first one too. 2d fighting games are so awesome but would be even funnier with a friends. 🔥🔥
How can I change my controls in campaign mode? I made a name with my controls but can’t use it in campaign
Did you find a fix? I have the same issue and its keeping me from playing the campaign. The default button settings are criminal.
Does it have 2v2 online? And can i queue with a friend THEN fight strangers in online (not private)?

To each their own. My kids all were looking forward to seeing all the ultimate moves. But I can see how it they’re not all mechanically sound

Especially the campaign mode the last Smash Bros-esque game I played that had a good campaign mode was Cartoon Network Punch-Time Explosion: XL for my 360 and it wasn't that bad. So I'm looking to see how this game's campaign mode stacks up to the one in Cartoon Network Punch-Time Explosion: XL.

I can't deny that the game looks fun. I really want to try it, especially since the beavers are my favorite NIcktoon characters and they're playable, but the way the first game was handled, the way it was dropped so quickly, the roster cuts, the price of DLC characters, what I'm hearing about the quality of the Switch version and the fact that none of my friends will be interested in playing this with me probably means I'll have to sit this one out too. I I love fighting games but I don't like playing them single player. Gets repetitive and boring fast. I think I'll wait and see if the quality of the Switch version is improved, see how online performance shakes out and see if the game gets continued support and any free DLC.
Just gonna say it but Garfield really stands out, kind wish they dripped him and kept another character from the first base game.
Is there Local co op online? Like smash 2v2 quick play?

This is not the switch version, it's either Xbox or PC. Gamemill didn't care about the switch version since it runs at 30fps and it has long load times.

Yeah they could cut the cutscene length by like 80-90%. Reptar's could just be the last bit of the flame breath
One thing I like about this game is that not only does it feel like an improvement over the original, but it also feels like a true evolution of Ludosity's original platform fighter Slap City.

Gave the first one a shot, I’ll be honest the hit boxes, the movement, the combat, everything was rough and the game didn’t last. Multiversus was pretty solid, this has good reviews so I’ll pick it up on sale. Smash bros was good but it doesn’t quite hold up for today in my opinion.

It definitely feels Smashy this time, compared to how Slappy the last one was. I'm still divided on the standard attack being 2 buttons, though

(Not a negative comment) I just got the game and i really want to keep it but im very close to refunding. Im am offline solo player and was really looking forward to just chill brawl matches vs the cpu. But the problem with the cpu is that they constantly get stuck on the edge of the map and just.. Dangle. They dangle for as long as you let them, until you decide to hit them then they fall to their death without any attempts of saving themselves (lvl 9 bots btw)... This makes playing so pointless and unenjoyable since the cpu are basically not fighting back :/. Also i feel the default controls for campaign are extremely awkward and theres no option to change them. Please talk to someone about these issues. Also thank you if you took the time to read this.
On the plus side im very impressed/amused with the character selection, the movesets and of course the awesome animations! Good work

@@LHSMeleeClub Performance is terrible on Switch... Framerate is cut in half from the first game, everything looks blurry, some framedrops in game when not even playing online and the load times for a game can be a minute long

I don't know man, I think I wanna play It. It looks really fun compared to the first game. I really wanna play it on the PS5 like it's kind of a mix between super smash brothers, ultimate and like a 2D Mario game. That's why I think about it But anyway this game looks fun I can't wait to play it

I dont see this being better than the 1st game since the base game roster is exactly the same number as the original, and the way i saw the campaign mode on other TH-camr channels its seems exactly like the Arcade mode, and i believe the Arcade mode will have the same exact issues like the 1st one like characters dont match their universe's levels and i dont see any team battle matches yet.
Honestly, I'm not buying it unless they re-add Helga and/or Toph, those two sold me on the original game and to see them not be in this one really sucks

The online section is not accurate the online is horrid 😭
That's a you problem. Online is server based, so online connection is entirely dependant on your internet, and not the opponent's. I've had zero issues since day 1.
@@metalandmagic1424 I’ve played so many online multiplayer games and have had only super rare hiccups this is the only game I play where every time I play online it’s laggy
I feel like $50 is way too steep for this game but maybe if it ever goes on a decent sale i’ll pick it up.
How so? Bigger titles are $70. What games are coming out under $50 that aren't small Indy games? I too am not buying this now but I won't say it's too steep. That's the current market for video games.
