really enjoyed this video. I’m Singaporean who moved to London. I absolutely feel relieved to escape all that heat and humidity but English weather can be so dry! my supple skin went flaky lol. but i absolutely prefer the English weather and parks
i’m definitely missing nasi lemak. i can make the rice but hard to make the same sambal taste and I have to search far and wide for ikan bilis.
Love it when people ask me my age coz ppl gasp at how young I look ;)

Education for kids in Singapore is only expensive in international schools. If you put your kids in public schools especially if you are permanent residents, it will be very manageable. (Primary - $25-$65/month for PR and $25-$150/month for international students) (Secondary - $260/month for PR and $600-$950/month for international students) Singapore citizens are basically free. ($5/month)

I hope you can make a video of you eating and give the rating of some of the local food. Side note, u probably should give a try to the half boiled egg with a bit of dark soya and pepper in it with the toasted bread, i believe it will change your opinion. It's really yummy.

Yes it is a women complex with the age. You really do not look 27. My partner has the same complexion with red hair and pale skin so the UV is something to consider! I want to know what state schools are like for children of expats, or are they usually in international schools (if one can afford it?).

Half boiled eggs are good for health as the yolk is not overcooked which is high in proteins and calories are moderately lesser. The eggs needed to be at least medium or half boiled to reduce the risk of food poisoning or illness caused by the bacteria.

I think when locals say they “burn” but actually mean “tan”, it's a direct translation from the Singlish/Hokkien expression “chao tah” which literally means “burnt to a crisp”. I wouldn't tempt fate by staying in the sun too long or getting too many sunburns as getting too many of the latter is potentially carcinogenic (specifically skin cancer). Justin, as a Ginger like Prince Harry, just doesn't have the naturally occurring high amounts of melanin that we Asians and people with darker complexions have in our skins and without its UV-dissipating properties, it makes sense that he would sunburn easily. So slather on that SPF 50+ sunscreen or stay out of the sun!
Justin pronounces “Changi” right. It's “Charhng-ee” and not “Chaang-ee”. And, God forbid, definitely not “Chaang-ghee”.
The pressure cooker atmosphere of childhood schooling in Singapore can be pretty brutal. Take it from someone who went through it from Primary 1 through A-levels and practically crashed and burned.
But eggs in those little egg cups in a classic British brekky in the UK *ARE* basically half-boiled eggs!!!
Incidentally, you two kids are just about half my age, so I wouldn't worry about your ages. ;-)

HaHa, I would say Holland Village too . . . Even though it's nothing special, I just liked it - fairly local to me I guess, not touristy. I lived on Satay there - just easy and cheap, after that I liked Kwai Teow and I have to say, I liked sting ray too. It's not easy to get citizenship there. Age, blimey - wait till you get to 50 LOL :) As for Changi airport - oh, if only all airports were like that. Britains airports are . . . a depressing nightmare. But I am currently enjoying Britain - parts of it are beautiful and for a change, its very warm and sunny. Indeed, I'm getting bitten to death by some very hungry mosquitos. Enjoy Borneo.
