- Salutations, Ladies and Gentlemen! Today, I'll be discussing another Victorinox Swiss Army Knife; the Recruit. This particular model is a superb piece, largely due to its smaller size and practical set of tools.
The Recruit features a set of 10 functions.
Polished stainless steel Spearpoint and pen blades.
Can opener + small flathead screwdriver.
Bottle opener + large flathead and wire stripper.
Toothpick.
Tweezers.
Keyring.
Made in Switzerland.
Overall, this piece is a fine example of the classic Swiss Army Knife. It's small, lightweight and immensely good for every day carry. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Agreed 😎
Love the Recruit
Great backup,
just the essentials
You're most correct.
Cheers, as always!
You made some great points in this one👍I don't have a Recruit in my collection (yet 😆), but it's a cool piece that I wouldn't mind picking up. Thanks for the look at it, buddy!
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers, as always!
👍
My EDC!
Except, when I'm on tour in nature ... than I carry the Hiker with me.
Good choice(s)!
Cheers!
When you see and feel the build quality of a Victorinox and how much knife you get for your money it certainly puts other knife makers to shame, with exception of Opinel they are great value for money. 😁
I love Victorinox, and have around as many 'SAKs' as Opinels. They really are worthy of their fame!
Thanks for stopping in, as always.
Cheers!
The recruit and the classic SD are all I need in my pocket for sure. I’ve carried larger SAK’s all my life but like this one best as it’s just a jackknife with a few extras. Awesome! Hey! I’m in Ontario Canada…you said you paid Canadian dollars…🇨🇦👍
The Recruit and Classic make for a great pair. Both are excellent knives.
Alberta, here! 😁🇨🇦
Cheers!
I can’t really get excited about Swiss Army knives, but I do carry one or two every day. I have a jet setter on my keyring and a pioneer X in my bag. I don’t remember when I last carried my briefcase, but it has a blue, climber in it. I’ve also given a few to various people, including my occupational therapist, that matched her uniform ( teal, not Red!). It was nice to see this one, as I’ve never had one. I think I do have a knife in this size, the bartender perhaps?
Swiss Army Knives aren't my absolute favourites, but I enjoy them nonetheless. I find myself carrying either the Executive or a Classic on occasion, and sometimes, I'll bring out the Excelsior, which is (in my eyes) an excellent take on a traditional penknife.
I don't own any of the models you mentioned, but if I had to suggest one Swiss Army Knife to purchase for the quintessential "SAK", it would likely be this one, as it really showcases how these are really great pieces, aside from their simplicity.
Cheers, as always
Great video! It's a great knife for sure! I somehow manage to find one with a serrated blade.
Really?! Now that's quite the specimen! 😁
Cheers, as always!
Cost me less that $3 @@TheKnifeRaven I got a 9 knife lot for $20 and that was in it haha
@RandysWSG Now that's quite the steal! 😁
Cheers!
Cant bet the V. 😊
Certainly not for this price! 😁
Thanks for stopping by.
