Paint the garage door opener from blue to black. I just did my garage too. After it's all done it did not look like I did too much work but it took forever and was a ton of work lol well worth it came out so good. I wish I painted the garage door tracks, I did not think about it till I had the 1st coat done on the walls and ceiling. I did beach house white to match the inside of my house.
Looks so good man, I know harbor gray is done a lot, and that’s for good reason😅came out great. Debating what shade gray to do for mine at the moment. Using your videos as inspiration
I would have never considered a dark color, or black as my ceiling color- What was your thinking on that? On video it looks/feels like it makes the ceiling disappear, almost like an infinity pool edge effect. Very interesting. Love all the prep you put into it to make it right. Great job!
Gives the room a bigger feel with the black ceiling. As you mentioned, it makes it disappear. I have enough lighting in the space to do the darker ceiling as most people just keep it white to reflect more light. Gives the space a more room like feel rather than a garage.
The flat black spray paint on the metal brackets looks awesome. Did you paint inside the tracks that the garage rollers run up and down. If so, how is the paint holding up and are the rollers running smooth?
Yes sir. Did the whole track inside and out. Still holding up very well. I just regreased and lubed the wheels and track and still looks as good today as it did in this video.
Pumped to see everything coming together so far. Congrats, I now this has been a long time coming for you!
Looks great, looking forward to seeing the finished product!

That's OG blue 😂
It’s really coming along nicely! I got so used to the old garage, and it was fine; but you’ve got a fantastic upgrade now! Love it!
Killing this transformation!
Looking good
Love the paint scheme
Thank you for the video
Well done my man!
Looks good man! I’m about to start my garage diy makeover and been following yours

i noticed you're in NJ... I'm in NNJ, where are you? I was going to paint my ceiling black, but chickened out.

Knowing you wash your cars in the garage. Did you use any type of anti mold paint? Kilz mold and mildew primer?
Nope, the walls don’t get wet or see the moisture as the door is open when washing.
wall mount garage door opener 🙏
I went over this in a previous video. It’ll happen. Just not at this time.
Should of put wall mount garage door opener, looks good though
Discussed in another video. Will be doing it in the future.
Mind if I ask how many gallons of the black was needed for those 3 coats?
I used 2 gallons of Tricorn for the ceiling
Looks really nice bro. Did you have to backroll the ceiling like Matt suggests
Thanks! Yes, longer rolls and then back rolled it all after each section.
Do you feel black makes it fee taller?
The black definitely makes the space feel more open.
OCD bro OCD 😎
Please changed your garage motor halogens to LED bulbs, those halogens are killing your design
It’s already been done. You’ll see in the next video.
