Gotta just invest in a full face mask and start using p100 filters for everything that requires a respirator. Protects your eyes and prevents you from breathing in almost anything, including gases and particles around 1 micron in size.
I am so glad to see someone use that concrete tool. I saw it online back at the beginning of winter in 2019. I had every intention on renting it in the spring of 2020. As you know the world had other things planned. If the temperatures stay like they are here right now I might not even need to wait until spring. Normally we have real harsh winters with freezing temperatures ice storms and a good amount of snow. So far this winter's been pretty mild. The only thing I need to worry about is what temperature that I can use the paint in. I'm going to give the one that you bought a try. Years ago when I fixed up my garage I used a different product that did not even hold up over a year. Even a drop of oil or gasoline would remove the paint. After watching your success with the paint you use I'm looking forward to trying it.
I have never seen your channel before now, i was looking at garage videos and it led me here, your merch promo vid was clean AF and always happy to see people pushing the wearing of safety gear!!

Hi Cameron, My garage's roof and front 1/3rd burned in a fire a few months ago, I am currently rebuilding it. You just inspired me to put some extra effort and money and try to make it a showroom-style garage too. Yours looks beautiful, congrats! And thank you :)
Looks great Cameron, just some advice from a lighting professional with 23 years of experience: Since you're going to use the shop as a professional workspace you will want about 50 foot candles of light at 5,000 kelvin white with a CRI of 90 or better. Your current lighting in your shop is about 8fc! From the looks of the space you could use twelve 2x2 led panels in a 3 x 4 layout. Each panel produces about 4000 lumens and cost around $50 each. You can check out the AcuityBrands visual lighting interior tool to help you with different fixtures, dimensions, and layout.
Chris if I may ask for the rest of the home, to have a modern, yet not-too-industrial feel, what do you recommend the Kelvin temps be for the following rooms: living room, dining room kitchen, bedrooms, master bathrooms, foyers/common hallways, and finished basements? Thanks a ton!!
Brother, I haven’t your channel in a few months and WOW. Your content is A1!!! Your production is sick. Keep up the work, man. You truly are inspiring.
I’m moving from dtphx to uptown Phoenix... gotta build a garage from scratch. Great info! Cracking up watching since I’ll be tackling a lot of the same messy ass work.
We started using Xylene at a factory I worked at for the paint process. Actually the fire department in the city wasn't too happy about it! Xylene is very dangerous... we had to keep it stored in a blast container far away from the factory. Apparently if water falls into it, there is a reaction and it can explode. Extremely reactive. We were told that if there is ever an event in the plant with the Xylene, If there's some fire with Xylene being inside, we have to evacuate far away... Even homes anywhere close to the factory would also have to be evacuated by the fire department due to the fumes!! They were pointing to houses seriously far away! I'd have to drive away at least 1 mile minimum to be kinda safe. Crazy stuff!! We had drums of it but only drop by drop was added to the primer. It was for transport truck springs. Even after curing in the ovens and over into assembly... the stuff had a weird smell! I understand what he's saying!!

Really informative. I'm looking at finishing out my new garage; probably late this year. Great details, many thanks. Think about adding Wi-Fi, and you need at least one main killer bench. Put the table height on the bench fairly high, and bright lighting onto your bench is important. Think about having vents across your across; you'll need it on some projects. Great work- thank you for posting these!

You can adjust the springs on the door so that it is more balanced and not "heavy" it will also save your garage door opener from work so hard opening and closing with all the added weight. It looks like you already have double springs for the door so that good.
My dad broke my garage door and just walked away. He didn't even stick around to help me temporarily get it closed until a repairman could work on it. Yeah, your dad is a gem for sure. You're very blessed to have him.
Lots of hard work. Amazing Dad and relationship you have there. What is with the 466 hate? Maybe they didn't like the commercials, wasn't too bad. Great job, enjoyed watching it.
Someone may have already mentioned this, or you may have learned it elsewhere but the door being heavier can be counteracted by tightening the spring tension. It should be tightened to a point where when the opener is disconnected, you can lift the garage door about 3/4 open and it holds at that height on it's own. This will put much less force on your garage door opener in the end.
Shoes dude. And you're probably supposed to change your garage door springs. If the door feels heavy without the opener you'll possibly burn your opener out. Shop looks rad! Noice job!
The reason the garage door is heavy is the springs are sized appropriately to the size and weight of the door. You will destroy the opener and the springs will break way sooner than normal. I recommend getting a professional to come out price you a fully insulated steel back door. You've done all that work and your door has an R value of about 4. You have a tin can covering a 16' hole in your wall. Go with a door that has a r value of about 17 and you'll really feel the difference
CAMERON, NEXT TIME YOU DO CONCRETE GRINDING, USE A HOSE AND WATER IT WILL HELP KEEP THE DUST DOWN, AND YOU CAN SQUEEGEE THE DIRTY WATER RIGHT OUT OF THE GARAGE DOOR. I KNOW YOU KNOW, THAT DUST CAN REALLY AFFECT YOU LONGTERM, EVEN ONLY EXPOSURE A FEW TIMES. LOOKS GREAT BROTHER!
For those doing their own floor, be careful. Some kits require a specific temperature and humidity range to apply and cure. You'll be tempted to close the garage door(s) to keep those conditions, but you are also sealing in the fumes. The fumes can cause real health issues while working in the garage, and even permeate into the house, lasting for days. My floor turned out great, but just use caution.

Love that matte black ceiling. My garage is unfinished, seemingly common in my area. So I'm going to finish it out soon but not sure I wanted to dry wall the ceiling. This looks really clean. Maybe insulated it first and paint over it like you have done...it gets cold here in Colorado. I feel for that dude applying that in the Arizona heat having to wear that suit though.
Hey man, did you end up doing that? I live in Colorado as well and just got my first home (CO Native) but I also did not like the idea of putting drywall on the ceiling. I really enjoy the open space and tall feeling it has, so I am really digging this idea, I would not have thought about foam insulation and just painting it over. It gives it such a clean look.

As a osha guy I agree
You can go ahead and add closed toe boots, gloves and safety goggles to the list...
