i had a 62 willy’s pu that i bought with a small block chevy v8 , which leaked oil from the rear main seal. i yanked it out after trying to use a seal kit 3x, brought it to a place that rebuilt it , brought it back and dropped it back in, even tho i didn’t do the rebuild, i remember the thrill of getting it back together and starting it back up, felt like i climbed everest on one leg
Had a couple FC 170's . One needed new bushings in the distributor, but they both ran beautifully. Adjust the lifters cold before you put it in the truck.

that sound, music for my heart
I remember when I started mine for the first time.
I used a soda bottle for fuel. Was a great moment.

Lesson number 1,if you don't know what your doing, fine some one that does.
Not sure what your point is. The engine ran. Do you have any specific advice to offer?
That's pretty exciting, actually.
Where did you source parts for this build
I don't buy the parts but I knew Andrew mostly gets them from Kaiser Willys. He's also mentioned Smith's 4x4, in Franklin, CT.
Mine was 60 degs off because the guy before me didnt know to time the oil pump
The 226 is just a 226 -IT IS NOT A SUPER HURICAN..
It's a super hurricane. It is scripted right on the head. You can even read it in the video. I have the same engine in my FC
