Indeed it is, it's interesting in terms of the scenery and layout of the stations but equipment wise it's just F40PHs (oh, and no heritage units). Having the disappointment that there's not much content of the Metra SouthWest Service line on TH-cam, I went out of my way for this.
Can’t wait for its reroute to LaSalle
Why
@@keyshawnscott12 it’ll ease congestion @ Union & add more service to LaSalle
The sws is gonna be going to lasalle St station!?
@@NaTheN9ll indeed around 2025
Nice video on southwest service
Fun fact: One Metra SWS Train to 179th street in this video is led by Metra 179
Awesome video of doing the whole Metra SouthWest Service.
They thought nobody would notice the Burlington cars
Why do the BN cars run on SWS but not only on BNSF line

@@arcmproductions5087 that's right I'm going to SWS on Nov 11

Nice video1
The Southwest Service is a another story metra route but the SWS has weird stations
Indeed, look at Ashburn for example, each platform in each direction are split by two different grade crossings
At the Bartlett Station on the MD-W, the platforms also split after a crossing.
NCS station O’Hare Transfer has a similar vein to it.

I really want this line to stay at Chicago Union Station instead of LaSalle Street station
Very underrated line. Mostly mechanical and still a few horns even with the Manhattan-new Lenox horns silenced

Thank you every much for this video
According to a video by MetraSnakieAsaurus 106, 211 was briefly on a SWS train in Chicago Ridge.
Good video and first comment!
Ah yes, Manhattan, my hometown. The single most boring town in Illinois.
