Railfanning Metra's SD70MACH 502 | Then full ride MD-N line from Fox Lake to union station | 6/8/24

SUBSCRIBE. | we took the MD-N line from fox lake, Illinois to Chicago union station and at some points the train was going over 70 MPH, and it was fast. Sorry guys me and my brother and others on the train couldn't keep our mouths shut. so, I'm sorry about that.
We only saw one other train and that is in the thumbnail of the video

Btw, Metra trains on the Milwaukee District North Line travel 60mph on the Fox Lake Subdivision, the south of Rondout, they can do 79. However, they used to limit them to 25mph through Rondout, but now it's 40.

Yup, Metra has been doing that for a while. I'm guessing they are PTC compliant.
