I have a Mossberg 590 Cruiser 12Ga 7rd pump, because it is short and I often take it on field trips. But like you, I like shotguns with stock. I have a Mossberg 590 Mariner 3" 8+1. You make nice videos. Such dogs like the cold, he didn't even want to hide in the tent. I love dogs and I even have one but I won't say what kind because you'll laugh. It's actually my wife's dog. Regards .
Hmmm. Interesting recommendation brought me here to see if I can pick up any additional ideas for my build. So far so good. Respectfully, Mr. T.C. Cross Detroit Michigan USA
There’s a lot to learn and a lot to love by sticking to the fundamentals of bushcraft camping. That said your videography skills are well beyond funamental. Beautifully shot and edited, as always!
Superb video ,as always, simple, effective ,beautiful ... really takes you there . Seems your weatherman is as crazy as ours ...all seasons in a day ! 😁 Thanks for sharing ! 🙂
Amazing for your video of Extreme Weather Bushcraft Camping - Pole-frame Tarp Shelter, Wet Weather Fire, Solo Overnight. I love your video, it is similar to my video. Thanks for sharing.🥰
A chair is nice, a hammock between two trees too. Also background music while eating, drinking coffee, in the evening and early next morning. Id camp by a stream and while away the time with my fishing pole then later swim and wash away all that smoke from the fire 🔥 🏕 🌞
The way you set up your tent is quite similar to the way our Vietnamese army does it. We often pick tea leaves nearby, in the forest, a lot, it's great.
When building your fire ring, leave a keyhole air gap, preferably facing you in shelter to create airflow and forcing the flame up the reflecting wall. This prevents heavy smoke, and better fire. And it helps to block smoke from going towards you, smoking out your shelter. Just a hint for the future. The Lakota Native Americans taught me that one.
Thanks Nicholas... Great camp! My Dexter likes his zoomies & the wet weather just as much as your Naomi 😂 Must be the great pyrenees in them 🐾 See ya next time 😁
Hello, I just discovered your channel. Incredibly great pictures in a wonderful landscape. I wish you all the best and look forward to every single video that is still to come. I hope I manage to visit your country one day. Fantastic. Greetings
You should use the broad spine on the back of the blade of your knife when you start a fire. I see you use the round cutting edge. You don't want to damage the cutting edge.
Man, what a great way to show how to deal with the elements... a little bit of shelter and a lot of firewood. Nice dinner, too... high protein and fat with some onion and potato... looked delicious. Your pup sure enjoyed the weather that moved in... good to see a dog enjoying itself for what it's bred for. Glad you were able to get away and spend some time in the outdoors. I just had surgery so I'm restricted for a few weeks, but I'm good and will be out again soon. Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
It was a pretty fun trip due to the weather. I'd love to get more of it on camera but it's so unpredictable it's hard to catch. Hope you get back out soon!
Thanks for the adventure. Are you allowed to keep your lever action. I guess the shotgun is ok. So good to see young people enjoying the outdoors. You are a dying breed. I hope you keep enjoying the outdoors and sharing with us. Good looking security and alarm dog.
I am allowed, and even if I wasn't, it won't be going anywhere 😉 The shotgun is my dad's and has been beaten around in the bush since before I was born. Thanks for watching!
Ya know , im sitting here watching yr video again thinking bout how ya said good guess bout that pan being from Dave Cantebury .. It wasnt a guess , im in tune with all you bushcraft content creators , i do have my own stuff ive sent for through alot of watching learning from all of you's ..ive been doing this kinda stuff my whole life as kids building forts and such having camp fires with friends way out in the feilds behind our houses and even now today going out with more skills and what ive learnt throughout the years as kids Props to all of you for yr video's that we enjoy .. keep filming bud 👍 and thanks again ...
I really enjoyed your video. But I have to wander why you did not take rocks and put them in back and on the sides of your shelter? There were plenty about! I guess you like to have plenty of air flow. I always heard that when using a Ferro Rod, one should use the back of the knife to scrape sparks, not the sharp blade. I hope to watch more of your content. I watch a lot of camping and survivor videos, so I can be Critical at times. Good Luck and Godspeed. Great looking Dog.
Nice video! I’ve subscribed. Although I was hoping to see some extreme weather. Greetings from Maine! Looking forward to exploring the channel more. Bravo
From one Nicholas tp another. Congratulations on making a fire close to your shelter. Every camping video I watch they build a fire too far away from the shelter to have any effect while in the shelter. Nice dog too. Really enjoyed the video and subcribed.
Great 👌 video you are one of the first ones I have seen to carry a gun for protection when your out there if I could go camping again I would to keep it up thank you
Hey Sir, I was wondering what is your camera and mic setup and do you use any filters on your videos? They look awesome and I'm a little envious of the style you have!
Nicholas, while internal frame backpacks are the current raze among trekkers I noted your external frame pack. I’m always on the lookout to upgrade my gear and a external frame pack is one of this items. Can you provide some information on your pack ?
@@wituikbws I grabbed the pack brand from the video after writing to you. I also searched the tatonka site, not a bad price for an 80 l pack. It is unclear however whether the frame is included with the pack.
Words are still miniature, cant see them when they were up while cooking , we like recipes too lol . Should add a gear list to yr video's, ie , tarp ? And the frying pan ? , im guessing through Dave canterbury ..??? . Hope you and the gf are good , , Good to see ya out with yr pet doing yr thing again , keep'm coming , nice set up btw ...
Sorry about that, I'll try to increase their size again in the next one. The gear I use is generally either too old and not available anymore or pretty well known like the saw or pan (also yes, it is Dave Canterbury. Good guess!) We are good, thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! I'll be returning to this camp in a future video 🤠

keep going, I love your videos and hiking so much!
what camera are you using, hope you reply
As long as your dog is nice and calm, then things are going to be OK.
quiet, shotgun, axe, knife, dog, tarp, food, blanket. YEP.
That's a pretty cool way of putting it ✌️
You saw the forecast and headed out to make a video!! I personally thank you!! LOVE EVERY SECOND!!!! Much respect!!
I wish the weather was like this more often! A lot of the time I'll head out with the forecast like this and it'll be sunny and clear 🤣
Excellent adventure. Thank you kindly for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it
What a fantastic forest! Rocks, unlimited firewood, water nearby...perfect! And your dog is amazing!
Great video! Look forward to watching all your videos
Hey there Nicholas, nice video out in the wild. Looked like it was relaxing. A quiet getaway! Thanks much for sharing your video.
What a beautiful PUP 🐕 very relaxing video... love this channel ❤
Very relaxing, thank you for posting.
Excellent video once again - something about your videos relaxes me and I love your "take" on camping. Very simple old school camping - love it!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!! More coming soon 👊

Truly beautiful video. Nice, you deserve millions of views!

This video contained everything I needed to subscribe. Thanks for sharing 👍
Simple shelter set ups are the best, love this one! Thanks for sharing. New sub from Northern Ireland ☘
Awesome outing! Thanks for the video

Love the video, filming is great, your skills are great, nothing more to say that it is great to watch your talent!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video, it was a fun one to make 😁

Great way to start a campfire
Omg neek! first time I actually watched one of ur vids lmao
Excellent and very good video, thanks my dear friend 🥰🌹🤗

Your video adventure, Makes me want to be there too! Thanks so much.
Glad you enjoyed !
Carrying a shotgun into the backcountry of western Canada is always a smart move...great video by the way!
Having the right bear repellent helps also, a Glock 29 10mm pitbull.
Consistently superior videos.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the videos. Enjoy them all. 😊
Nice shelter and camp. Thanks for sharing 😊
Another great video!
Rangy dog... looks right at home!
Enjoyed. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching!
The pine forest in your hometown is truly beautiful
ngôi nhà dưới tuyết thật đẹp chúc bạn mạnh khoẻ
Tipo de abrigo que eu gosto muito. Ótimo vídeo parabéns 👏🏼👏🏼
This is just great! I'm watching you from the Czech Republic. I always like to watch how to deal with such weather. Thanks for sharing such a trip! :)

And it helps to block smoke from going towards you, smoking out your shelter. Just a hint for the future. The Lakota Native Americans taught me that one.
And stack up the back wall to reflect more heat towards you and not out into open air.
Other than that, great video. You gotta love bipolar nature when it comes to weather. Lol
Now that is a great idea, never heard of that one. Thanks for the tips!!
Thanks Nicholas... Great camp! My Dexter likes his zoomies & the wet weather just as much as your Naomi 😂 Must be the great pyrenees in them 🐾 See ya next time 😁
Ah, very relaxing content! Looks super similar to the rocky outcrops near Kamloops. Thanks for sharing!!
Amazing bro!
Thanks 🔥
question-why do you use blade of knife instead of back side to start fire
Hello, I just discovered your channel. Incredibly great pictures in a wonderful landscape. I wish you all the best and look forward to every single video that is still to come. I hope I manage to visit your country one day. Fantastic. Greetings
Welcome to the channel!
Great spot. Really like your videos
You should use the broad spine on the back of the blade of your knife when you start a fire. I see you use the round cutting edge. You don't want to damage the cutting edge.
Nice camp! But I would still like to have the sides of my shelter down to the ground, or close some gaps in these windy conditions.
Nada nada .el puro perrito se salva ..te vi en 4 oportunidades .no sirves amigo ..
Same. I would probably go with a plough point set up as long as the wind is blowing steadily in one direction.
Drsné, ale krásné
Спасибо большое за видео!
Так держать!

Mainly due to time constraints, there is a lot to film with not much daylight to do it, aside from in summer
Nice video! I’ve subscribed. Although I was hoping to see some extreme weather. Greetings from Maine!
Looking forward to exploring the channel more. Bravo
Also, more commercials than I’d like to see. Back to paying for subscription next payday I guess 👍
.. and lol, would love to see your gear list in the description. Well done.
my go to shelter is 'leen too' with front over hang but this seems handy as well 👍
Petualangan yang sangat menyenangkan bang❤️❤️salam kenal bang🙏🙏
Cảm ơn bạn đã đăng video. ❤❤❤

Great❤
Cool video and good gear, maybe next time at least bring a paper plate for your dog to eat on ;)
What backpack is that? Im looking to upgrade mine.
مشاء الله روعة ❤❤
Nicee broo :)
Oh, wow! Who was that big hug machine with the curled tail? He is a beauty. If he made puppies, I wish one could come live with me.
Nice camping
Great 👌 video you are one of the first ones I have seen to carry a gun for protection when your out there if I could go camping again I would to keep it up thank you
Thanks! Can't imagine going out there without one
Nice. Would it have been better to build this in a more sheltered spot? Love the simple shelter set-up.
Probably, but camping in the trees can get boring pretty quick. Much more exciting and challenging out in the open 😆
Good day! Great video! Please tell me, what kind of awning and mat did you use in this video?
Lindo video. Que hacha utilizas?
You have the knowledge and skills to be a good Mountain Man/ Long Hunter. But you are in the wrong century. Enjoyed the dog and the peaceful scenery.

At last. A camper with big cat & bear protection. Bout time. Press on. Educationalb.not pretentious.
Nicholas, while internal frame backpacks are the current raze among trekkers I noted your external frame pack. I’m always on the lookout to upgrade my gear and a external frame pack is one of this items. Can you provide some information on your pack ?
I find the external frame more practical and lighter than the internal frame packs. This frame is just some generic thing, but the bag is Tatonka
@@wituikbws I grabbed the pack brand from the video after writing to you. I also searched the tatonka site, not a bad price for an 80 l pack. It is unclear however whether the frame is included with the pack.
Salam 1 hobi n salam sukses selalu, salam kenal 🙏🙏
Very nice video. Great scenery, great pup. Question though, why do you use the blade of your knife with the ferro rod? Does that not dull it?
Nice video! Thanks from New Zealand 🌏🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🌿🌿🌿What was your sharpening tool?
Lansky pull-through sharpener
