      @@wituikbws Actually bush crafting over here is much more restricted then in Canada. As every piece of wood is owned by someone, you can go in, but you are not allowed to use tents or use open fire. We both - father and son - love carving and be outside, being allowed to have camp fire would be awesome. Sure, we could still simple do it, but on the other hand I have to be a good dad and show my son, how to do it right. I think, when he is a bit older, we will go to Sweden or even come to Canada.
      One question to you as an Canadian: Aren't you bothered by bears over there? I mean, we have wolves here and my wife is panicking every times, I go to the woods, she would die of freight, knowing that there could be a grizzly around.

    • @OutdoorswThatGuy
      @OutdoorswThatGuy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @GuyHeadbanger That's to bad about not having a place to go , maybe ask around who owns land and ask permission to camp out if possible , our land here in Canada is also getting scarse ... and getting burnt or torn down for subdivision s or ya have to pay a fortune to camp in a park of some sort 😢 .. all the best 👍

    • @GuyHeadbanger
      @GuyHeadbanger 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OutdoorswThatGuy Camping is not a problem over here, as long as you do not use a tent. German law guaranties to use the woods for recreational purposes for everyone, no matter who is the owner. But you are not allowed to use open fire like bonfires of hobos, not even gas, if you are not the owner, work for the owner or keep bees in the area. I mean, I perfectly am alright with this regulations when in comes to pine woods in our area, but in oak and beech woods? Well, there are a few places, where you could officially stay in the woods and have a fire going, but you have to pay for that a little fee. Or you use camping grounds, of cause.
      But in national parks you are not even allowed to leave the official paths, not speaking of staying overnight, as you would disturb the animals. Too much people on to less ground over here, 233 inhabitants on one km² vs. 3,9 in Canada. If you seek real wilderness you will not find it in Germany.

    Really awesome night out. Everything looked great for a nice comfortable setup. I used to have one of those candle lanterns and liked it a lot... need to look for a new one. Very practical. Dinner over the fire always tastes better, and the potato/onion mix looked good with the grouse. Cowboy coffee in the morning hits the spot and gets the day going. Glad you had the chance to get out and enjoy an evening. Peace from Arizona. Pete

    Hey there amigo !! 😀
    Very nice camp set up.
    Practice makes for perfection 👍🏽
    Also wanted to thank you for the easier to read screen print !!!!!!
    I don't have a home computer. I rely on my cell phone for pretty much everything.
    Sunscreen reading is not that easy on that tiny little phone. But as my eyes get older I'm hoping to move up to a laptop, make it a little easier on me 😁.
    So thanks 😊
    The great novelist Louis L'Amour once said that you could tell a lot about a man by the way he set his camp. I think he would certainly feel comfortable at your place !!! ( If he was still with us that is lol ).
    Chow looked really delicious 😋 ...
    I can't help but wonder how many people watching your video truly realize how much time and patience it takes to prepare when you're out in the outback???
    You can't throw it in the microwave and you can't throw it in the oven lol 😂
    Keeps a guy bizy !!
    Of course this is just part of the reason why when you do get to eat it tastes so good nothing like outdoor Chow because you worked for it 👍🏽🙏
    Big shout out to the guy that made your knife ( I forget the name ) it really takes a honing well !!!!
    And I'm sure I'm repeating myself but I really appreciate a guy who keeps his knife that sharp that you can shave those sticks like that some people don't know what a really truly sharp knife is and just how much work it takes to get it there. Once you get it there it's all about the maintenance and a little bit of stropping maybe an occasional ultra fine workout on a stone but it is well worth it !!!! ( Axe too ! ). I. Am glad you are back to videos 👍🏽😊. I have talked to TH-cam Friends who talk about how much time is put into setting up the camera, preparing the shots, let alone the editing. It's a commitment !! really appreciate your commitment to it and there's nothing wrong with taking a break here and there and I think we're all still be here when you come back so really really appreciate having you back and enjoying them !!! BTW, don't ya just love bank line over the days of paracord !!!
    Lighter tighter and smaller package 🤠👍🏽.
    As always look forward to the next one !!!
    Sounds like there's going to be some real work involved there !!! Lol. Well take care of yourself Nicholas, be good to yourself, and cheers to the Great outdoors !!

      They’re Baffin Hunter boots, made of rubber, and are very comfortable for long walks (in my opinion), but the quality and durability of these boots is absolutely awful. I’ve had them for about 3 weeks at the point of filming this video, and they got a large hole in them by the end of this trip. Right now they are cracking and splitting apart on the stress points, and are pretty much ruined. Avoid these boots if you can 👎

      Espero impaciente tu siguiente video.
      Saludos.

    A camping video without eggs and bacon for breakfast is not a camping video.

      I purposely don’t film breakfast aside from making coffee or tea as it takes a ton of time and is too close in the video to when I cooked dinner the night before. It ends up making the video feel too repetitive and boring, but I’ll make some eggs and bacon in one soon though, likely in one of my short-term camps! 👍
