I PRAY THEY ARE ENDGAME BECAUSE GIRL I WILL BRING OUT THE TORCHES WITH YOU! she gave them so many notable moments that shows that they deserve to be together (specifically the scene at the end where Bryce was making the drop and he was literally acting as her lifeline) also HE GOT HIS WINGS CUT OFF FOR HER. if this isn’t love then what is???
I binged the absolute hell out of this and loved every minute of it. I’m so excited to see where this goes since it’s definitely giving me hunger game vibes. With the amount of power Bryce has to the point of being stronger than the autumn king and having the horn with the ability to literally close doors to hell, she is a huge threat to the Asteri. We really see that when the Mica situation gets aired to the entire Summit and she refuses to leave behind her Lower creature friends and confessed her freeing of Lehebah in those moments. The fact that a half human had the ability to kill an archangel even before her drop shows exactly how much of a threat she is. We clearly see the Asteri acknowledging that through the phone she receives at the end. I’m so excited to watch her and Hunt take on this “democratic” Hierarchy! We already see that Hunt is still able to slide into his commanding leadership as a general and the hope Bryce can bring to people when she went to defend the weakest in the city rather than save herself. The war that is to come is going to be absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see the dynamics that will play out in a world with so many different species. We had a tiny glimpse of that in ACOWAR but the species in this series actually play vital roles in this rather than just background.
i hope Sarah isn't changing love interessets!!! the romance is so slow burn that it's almost painfull... but i adored it!!! i hope you we see a lot more between Rhun and a the medwitch and the mer ppl!!! i didn't find the beginning slow actually... i found the world building rather interessting!!! i agree that Sarah made kinda fun of herself and alphaxxxls... and i wanted a Through Love, all is possiple - tattoo... not sure now....i mean it would be just normal ink and i should be safe, right?
i hope she doesn’t change love interests because i genuinely love hunt and the chemistry they built between them like they’ve done so much for each other and i don’t want that to be ruined SIGH

On holiday and came back early from dinner and drinks to read the last 200 pages. Cried when Danita reappeared, my husband was just looking at me like I was bonkers. I’ve been told I need to read ACOTAR before the second book so started that straight away.
I feel with you with this book it blew me away. And I can't wait to see what happens in the second even if I'm afraid of what happens because I love Hunt and Bryce :)
When I read chapter 51 (that’s when Aidas appears) and I’m so ashamed of myself because I started shipping them. I still like Hunt but Aidas just hints differently....😂😂❤️

I liked how it was like: “okay, I see you.” Yeah, the scene where they went to Sabine’s house was INTENSE! It was hurtful to read! 🥺💔💔 Omygosh, whatever! Your bun is cute! :) Omygosh! Yes, the shower scene was sooo good! ☺️✨✨ Yeah, this is definitely my favorite book of 2020! Really???!!! I told myself there had to be a logical explanation for Hunt buying the synth...but I still felt so bad for Bryce having her meltdown about everything! Omygosh! When she went to try & save him! 😭💕💕 *Gasps* Becca! How dare you not give Danika the benefit of the doubt! How dare you! 😒😂😂 That reveal/confession was one of the best reveals I’ve ever read! I couldn’t believe (I mean, I could because he was the devil) he threw him in the tank either! Yes! Books as weapons! Omygosh! When she sacrificed herself & said her first act of freedom was to save them! 😭😭😭 Then she kept saying that phrase over & over! 😭😭😭 Yeah, when she drank the antidote, I was so happy! I’m not gonna lie, I did underestimate Bryce throughout the book at first just because she didn’t have the Danika type of swagger, but she really won me over! I was thinking “here comes the calvary” as they were all getting together to go get her! ☺️✨✨ I was so happy that she had powers because it was like the underdog bastard daughter that everyone treated like trash is waaay more than you could have ever imagined! It didn’t feel like the timing was right on that. I’m am interested to see where this series will go. I also wonder if the new book will focus on new people but still have the whole gang in the background...especially since there are different houses. This book exceeded my expectations! I can’t believe there was no proper sex scenes in this one. Annoyed me a bit. If she turns Hunt into a bad guy, I’ll be so pissed. I love him. Lehebah was awesome and so many giggly moments with her. But the Micah reveal blew me away. Omg. I have to say, ACOMAF is still my preference personally. I’ve rated HOEAB 4 stars for the time being, it may change, but that’s it for the time being. I think I would have liked more from the romance, tbh.

Aida's the prince of hell and Bryce will have some weird history or connection because he told her to contact him when she dropped so and has literally been watching her since she was a child so.... I need answers!!!!!!

Multiple times I said out loud “Fucking Hell!” while reading this book!! I just finished the book today and darm was the last 200 or so pages was just so freaking epic. It was definitely oh hell what's going to happen next, bite your nail finger worthy!!!! I could hardly put the book down during those pages. I wonder what part Ithan (is that how you spell his name?) Connor's brother I am talking about. And boy I am so in love with Hunt and Rhun. But so far Bryce I am freaking in love with. And I am very straight. I definitely have a crush on Bryce, and think she's a freaking badass. I also want to know what is going on between Bryce's boss and Aidas. And I really love the world and the characters. And I even loved a lot of the bad guys in this book. Because they didn't feel flat or one dimensional.
I am happy that you enjoyed the book. I was disappointed with it and while I did finish it ,I found it frustrating to read. I was hoping that it would be a guilty pleasure for me and I was close, but the frustration just outweighed the good bits for me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. SJM is very either I love it, or it misses me.

For GOOD urban fantasy instead of the teen crap hole that is Shadow hunter check out books by Ilona Andrews (Hidden Legacy and Kate Daniels series) Kalayna Price (Grave witch series), Rachel Aaron (Heartstriker series, Jim Butcher (Dresden Files series), Thea Harrison (Elder Races series) K.F. Breene (just all of her series) there are also books by Faith Hunter and Patricia briggs that are good but a little too same note from book to book for me.
I was so convinced it was Jesiba!! ahhh don't hate me but I didn't love Bryce and Hunt together 🙈 I loved the gun range scene and the shower scene but I felt like his betrayal with the synth was just kind of glossed over and they because of everything that went down she forgave him real quick
I liked Conner so much more than Hunt, but of course he had to die. Honestly if Bryce and Ithan end up together I will be so happy, if Bryce ends up with no one, I’ll be happy, if Bryce ends up with Hunt (I guess I’ll be happy)
I fucking LOVE the Here Comes the Cavalry trope and I swear to god SJM does it better than anyyonnneeeee!!!!! UGH. It gets me right in my fucking heart every time.
This was my first SJM and I DNFed (sorry!) I found that there was so much swearing it was uncomfortable. I’m definitely not a prude about that, but no one swears that much. Same with the partying, like all the main characters do is party and I know some people do buttttt I’ve never met someone THAT obsessed with partying. It seemed like bc it was her first adult book she was like ´OMG they can swear and drink and fuck around finally Im going to write ALL the debauchery!!!’ I wish she would have toned it down. It made it unrealistic and I could just not relate at all
I really didn’t like Hunt. As a character he was okay but as a love interest he just didn’t seem to match up to Bryce. It seemed like he was between alpha male and wimp. Bryce is loyal to a fault and Hunt is almost the opposites I just didn’t vibe with him as someone with enough will power to do what is right for Bryce.
Finally someone that loves SJM unapologetically like me. I have been thinking about this book since I finished it yesterday.

This was my first SJM and I DNFed (sorry!) I found that there was so much swearing it was uncomfortable. I’m definitely not a prude about that, but no one swears that much. Same with the partying, like all the main characters do is party and I know some people do buttttt I’ve never met someone THAT obsessed with partying.
It seemed like bc it was her first adult book she was like ´OMG they can swear and drink and fuck around finally Im going to write ALL the debauchery!!!’ I wish she would have toned it down. It made it unrealistic and I could just not relate at all
I really didn’t like Hunt. As a character he was okay but as a love interest he just didn’t seem to match up to Bryce. It seemed like he was between alpha male and wimp. Bryce is loyal to a fault and Hunt is almost the opposites I just didn’t vibe with him as someone with enough will power to do what is right for Bryce.
Would you be upset if we follow another couple in the next book?
Probably. I'm preparing myself for it because I'm used to SJM switching love interests but I'm hoping she doesn't 😂
