I'm still hung up on Conner and his last text message =( and did anyone catch the references from ToG. The book called "Walking Dead" (the one that told Aelin what the Valg were), the Three Faced Goddess, and the fact that there is a Autumn King and he has fire magic! Did SJM just put those in there for fun or does it mean something?
I did not catch that reference but that is awesome! I love it when authors connect their books together like that. I don’t know if it means anything but you never know, it just might!

The world that she built is fantastic!! I can't wait for the other books to come out. I loved the characters and I love Hunt and Bryce, but I think I'm going to prepare myself in case something happens to him wether he dies or turns a Tamlin wannabe.
Hel is from Norse myth. Hel is the location, the underworld there and also the name of the goddess who rules it. I guess Sarah wanted a different hell to use haha
11:04 i think you’re getting confused. you’re right that bryce didn’t have a spark of power at the beginning, because she acquired her powers when she made the drop and those powers weren’t her own. they come from the gate because she was “blessed” by the gate for saving the city.
and also the starborn powers don’t count as powers, so when bryce makes the drop and passes the autumn king’s level of powers, the starborn powers aren’t part of that.
@Victoria Strauss exactly I felt more chemistry between her and Adas in that shot time that the entire book with hunt. I cant wait for the development tho
@@gmat1997 I dunno why, but everytime time I read the next chapter, deep down in my heart, I wish we could get more Aidas scenes. Some part of my hearts wish Bryce will end up with Aidas, especially after Bryce's Oracle story. I've got a feeling Aidas has to do something more with Bryce. Maybe I feel this way because I had read ACOTAR series first right before Crescent City. In ACOTAR we know that Feyre ended up with Rhysand, which he was a minor in the first book. Both Rhysand and Aidas also have that hell or dark or bad auras, which somehow interesting for me.
@@gabriellaelva4218 yess! Rhysand meeting scene with feyre was in my head while I was reading about Adas . I get a more Chaol westfall vibe with Hunt if u get u get me. Like he has his good points but defo not our girl other half. I let's just both hope our Adas ship will sail. I also have I expectation after reading ACOTAR and TOG.
I also hope and feel that Bryce and Hunt end up together, because people in relationships are not perfect at all. Sometimes we lie to each other (which is really stupid and can be hurtful) to protect the people we love. If you recall, Bryce wasn’t always forthcoming with Hunt either (not cooperative, hid her game plan, hid her powers) and so I feel like they are even at this point. I would personally feel caught between wanting my freedom as well so I could be with the person I loved. What’s different about Hunt, is that he’s no Tamlin. He is not altogether selfish, he defends Bryce over and over again, he honors her feelings and emotions, and he really “sees” her when no one else does. He’s no Chaol because he still fights for Bryce even when the evil authority above him tries to get him to cave. I’d like for Sarah to do something different here-not expected-and let them be together. They DIED for each other. And guys...he calls her SWEETHEART-this big tough guy who basically is so downtrodden with life-and he melts for her. 🥺 If you remember-Tamlin never fought for Feyre with Amarantha-Rhys did. Feyre died for Tamlin, but he never reciprocated. Rhys dies for Feyre. They both died for each other and brought each other back to life-just like Hunt and Bryce. I’m rooting for them!!! Please, Sarah! Make them work.
It’s spelled “Hel” in reference to the underworld in Viking or Norse mythology. Thus, the sailing of the dead bodies off into the water. Norse people believed that when you died an honorable death, you went to Valhalla. If you die a cowardly death or a boring mundane death, you go to Hel. Hel wasn’t like the Christian Hell-fire and brimstone and the devil-it was sort of like the Greek Underworld where souls just exist after death. At the beginning of the book Sarah labels all of the houses as “The Four Houses of Midgard.” Midgard is the earthly realm in Norse mythology.

I just finished the book half an hour ago and I'm speechless. I read about 200 pages today and sobbed so many times. The ending was perfect and the epilogue was as well. Left you speechless for more, but content with what it revealed. Naturally, I know we all have so many questions and feeling while mine is a little more unorthodox. Remember in KOA, how Aelin was able to go to the ACOTAR universe for a quick second? What if that happens here? I'm not saying it will, but there's so many portal crap and there's Fae stuff. What if SJM is going to merge one of these series together? Be it a character or few chapters! You cannot deny its impossible if people in CC even acknowledge, the universe is huge and they're are endless possibilities of many worlds. Leaving my two cents and heading to bed. Girl, if you love angels, READ the Irin Chronicles!!! Absolutely fantastic series. Also, knew Bryce was the Starborn back when she was recounting the scene with her and Danika and she says "close your eyes". Knew it wasn't a gun that got them out of that situation!!
