- Thank you Freddie Prinze Jr, Vanessa Marshall and Dave Filoni for bringing us this amazing and uplifting relationship.
Sorry for the lack of videos: I really cannot find enough time for this type of thing, but hopefully after next month I'll be uploading more regularly. I will be doing more Star Wars videos featuring content other than Star Wars Rebels, such as Clone Wars, Resistance, or the movies. Hope you will all come to enjoy them! May the Force be with you.

Obi wan and Satine are like a teenage couple in a forbidden relationship trying to hide their relationship from the world. Hera and Kanan are like a married couple who have fights and yet they understand each other so well.

I remember watching through Rebels the first time and their chemistry was definitely of “these two have clearly known each other for awhile”, and I think that definitely helps with their relationship and things like Hera always referring to Kanan as “dear”, and Kanan referring to the other crew members as the kids (probably because all except Zeb are actually kids).
The reason why they "fight: each other is because they know each other so well as they love each other
Kanan and Hera are proof that Jedi can have romantic relationships if it's done responsibly.

I agree. Like Anakin, Kanan allowed attachments into his life and sometimes turned it into “fuel” to complete his missions and save his family, but unlike Anakin, Kanan NEVER let his attachments get in the way of what really mattered nor at the cost of himself
@@TCWRebelsResistanceWords Different circumstances. Anakin has been wronged by the jedi order in so many ways. Not only they didn't do shit for his emotional needs so he could be healthy and mentally stable, but actually all the opposite so that it made things worse.
@@mariebourgot4949 totally agree. Comparing Anakin-Padme and Hera-Kanan relationships and circunstances is very interesting: it says a lot about Star Wars’ motives and themes. The most important imho: Anakin was always pressured and abussed by an institution (his fears were real, as a self fullfilling prophecy: he was alone and no body cared about his human fillings, he was a tool, an x-weapon, not only later for the empire...). In contrast, Kanan was a simple padawan left alone, missing an institution that he knew only with naive eyes (so he remembered the lessons about the essence of it, not the politics...). He used that knowledge to do his best for Hera’s desires to help, and they, with Ezra, Sabine, Zeb and Chop became a family, a little tribe. They helped each others, took decisions, had doubts, good and bad moments toghether. They cared, knowing that they are humble human beings doing toghether what they think is right, building their relationships on pure love.They were not alone. And that was the difference that kept Kanan and Ezra so away from the dark side (take that, Jedi council 😛)

Kanan and Hera are, no doubt, the BEST COUPLE EVER! They brought out the best in each other! Hera helped to bring down all the emotional walls Kanan worked so hard to put up in order to protect himself after Order 66 and she, along with Ezra, helped him get past his self-doubts and insecurities. They never pushed each other away when one of them was upset or hurting. They looked out for each other until the very end. Kanan and Hera are the EPITOME of the perfect couple! They’ll always be not just my top favorite Star Wars couple, but my top favorite couple of ALL TIME!!
Man, Hera's grief for Kanan hits harder when you've lost someone your self
Ugh tell me about it! When Kanan died it came at the worst time imaginable because 9 days earlier I had lost my grandma whom I was extremely close with. I had tried to keep the crying minimal for my mom’s sake. When Hera said she loved him, I finally felt genuinely happy again for the first time in forever. Then one minute later, one of my top 3 all time favorite characters is killed off! TALK ABOUT SALT IN THE WOUND!!! I was scream crying so hard. And Hera’s mourning triggered me even more. Damn good thing I didn’t have to go to work the next day due to snowy weather because I was a complete, inconsolable wreck. I hardly ate or said anything nor even looked up from the ground. I spent most of the day on my bed curled up in a ball

I already had a feeling Kanan was practically gonna end up sacrificing himself like that sooner or later.

Best couple in the HISTORY of couples! They’re my all time favorite (alongside Emma and Killian “Hook” from “Once Upon a Time” and “Beauty and the Beast”)
Ok, thanks, I'm crying here...
5:08 punched me in the gut because that was EXACTLY what came into my mind when I very first saw the episode of Kanan’s death! At first when he was holding back the flames, I was all like “Okay, what’s going on here?” but the very instant his sight came back I remembered his promise to Hera about them seeing each other again and I then realized what was about to happen and I went “Oh no! No! No no no no no no no no!” And when he let go of the flames and pushed his family away, I was screaming at the top of my lungs! Didn’t help that I had lost my grandma 9 days earlier so I now had to deal with TWO devastating deaths!

@@lucerfox4690 IKR!?! That’s how I felt! I was like “why now!?! I just lost my grandma, now I have to lose Kanan too!?! Damn you Dave Filoni!!” But then two days later I learned it wasn’t Dave’s fault; it was Freddie Prinze Jr’s: he agreed to voice Kanan only if they killed him off at the end. When Dave was coming up with the storyline for Kanan’s death, he had a really hard time doing so because he had just lost his own father, so he tried to get Freddie to change his mind, but to no avail. I was sooooooo mad I wanted to beat him up! I love you Freddie, but still, DAMN YOU!!!

0:55 you can actually see Hera backing away for a sec, she always felt the same as kanan just didn’t want to show it. And you see that throughout the whole series.
Yes! That's why when she said she loved him he commented "that must be the truth serum talking". Kanan already knew she loved him but he also knew she didn't want to show or admit it out loud because she's so selfless and maybe felt guilty if she wasn't always focusing 100% on the mission. 😭 Gosh I love them so much.
@@missgreendayfan Exactly. It’s a very pure and realistic relationship on that context. It’s obvious how well they understand, respect and love each other, as the best married couples do. It’s pretty obvious too that they, time to time, didn’t resist to go a little further (body language speaks: they are so confortable...). But especially Hera is so committed with the rebellion that she wants to stay focused just no it, and on being a good leader to her family. That’s very on character. And it is on character too that Kanan, through the years, wanted them to be officially a couple (anyway they couldn’t actually be more engaged, the danger is already there, so better recognize it🤷🏼♀️). None of them is right or wrong, and we understand both of them...and cry for the best death of a jedi master (IMO): protecting at the same time his family and compleating the mission they share.

Funny thing about hera, she's actually the same voice actress that voiced jan ors in the video game jedi outcast, not just that but also Jan ors is also the partner of Kyle katarn

I never cried on any of the ... how many are there now?, movies... but with Clone Wars, actually creating the biggest tragedy ever: the fall of Anakin: the best man and Jedi of all...
But Rebels was superior: every character, hero or foe, was explained, enhanced, let grow... we knew about their last, their tragedies, their achievements, their love, their hate...
SW Rebels is the best Star Wars series, better than all the movies... even the 1977 and 1980 ones I saw when I was a little girl. Not saying those weren't good, I am saying Rebels is better and quite underrated at that

Hera & Kanan 4 ever♥️
Here’s another great couple in the Star Wars world & Kanan & Hera don’t disappoint. Hera is one of the best pilot in the galaxy & Kanan is a Jedi but he hasn’t had much time with his master cause after order 66 Kanan’s master was shot down by the clones who use too fight beside them & Kanan had too run otherwise he would of been killed too, but the Bad Batch let Kanan escape & so the story goes & ends up with Hera on the ghost with Zeb,Sabine ,Chooper & eventually Ezra join’s the ghost crew. LOOK OUT EMPIRE CAUSE WE ARE COMING FOR YOU. GO THE REBELS AND THE REPUBLIC.

Realisticly there should be limits to that, but it was never mentioned, while there were couple examples of diffferent spieces couples with children (I remember at least one, one clone that sererted in CW had kids with a woman from different spiece, don't know what it was, something closesly related to Twileks)
