Kanan was much more a parent to Ezra than a Master. And their relationship was all the better for it. Their attachment to each other made them stronger.
Although this is an animated show with fictitious characters I've grown to have an attachment to these characters especially Ezra and Sabine but really enjoy the relationship Kanan and Ezra have as if they were Father and Son. This was really well done
I think it's important that the Jedi who were younger during the Purge evolved and adapted and let go of some of the more rigorous rules of the Jedi Order. We saw it with Cal Kestis and Kanan Jarrus. They still respect the Jedi Code but realize that some aspects of it were too detached and too harsh. Kanan's relationship with Hera, for example. Hera is Kanan's closest friend, his confidant, and his partner in crime. He's okay with robbing from the Empire and making small differences but she saw that they could do so much more. Ezra assumes his parents are dead and has no structure or person to guide him when he feels uncertain. The Ghost crew becomes a surrogate family to him and Kanan becomes like a father. It's only because of the love and affection that Ezra got from Kanan that he becomes the Jedi he was always meant to be. One that would sacrifice himself for the people and planet he loved.
Oh man!! I love this! Star Wars Rebels is one of my favorite tv series! I love this Space Family! Especially Kanan and Ezra's master/padawan and father/son dynamic! This is an amazing tribute for them! I love it!
Considering the competition, not a high bar. But these two, along with Hera, actually puts Kanan as tied with Ahsoka for my favorite. I just love the Dad Jedi.
@@minisarge2619 Ezra’s actually my third favourite Star Wars character I could only watch clone wars clips on TH-cam but when I was 8 rebels came out so Ezra was kinda like my Ahsoka
Now I am fully convinced that this type of relationship could have been Qui Gon and Anakin if they were given the opportunity to be a Master-Padawan duo.
My goodness this was beautiful! So glad you had a chance to finish watching Rebels it's one of my favorite shows ever. The Ghost crew is just the cutest little family ever!!
wELL HERE I AM ONCE AGAIN CRYING OVER A CARTOON but anyway i LOVE how you included all of their banter and teasing, it just makes it a thousand times more heart shattering in the end. phenomenal job op
AHHHH!!! This hit my heart so hard!!! I saw this show for the first time last year, and I just recently started re-watching it. I already loved Kanan and Ezra and their relationship over anything else in the show, but seeing it all again has made me appreciate them even more, and this video captures that PERFECTLY!! I seriously almost started crying!! BEAUTIFUL edit!! Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
Beautiful tribute. I know took alot of work. It tells the story beautifully. I've grown so fond of these characters and happy to hear rumors of live action Ezra and Sabine. Hope they do them justice.. and for those of us who happened upon this really well told story.
This was phenomenal! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Your editing skills are amazing, and I can see your talent clearly showcased in the voice overlay and scene transitions (no easy feat). Star Wars: Rebels is one of my favorite Star Wars shows of all time, and Dave Feloni is a mastermind who knows exactly which heartstrings to pull to make his audience care for his characters and their plights. The journey Kanan and Ezra make together--from Master/Padawan to Father/Son--is one of the highlights of the show. Please continue making these awesome edits as your talent should never be wasted. :D --Heather
What did Kanan say, holding out his hand, as his surrogate son plummeted through the dark on a collapsing imperial station? *“Ezra! Let go!”* One. Last. Lesson. (And they say this series is inferior to Clone Wars 🤣)
Ahsoka sees Kanan and Ezra as how she used to be with Anakin. Both pairs had a rough beginning but became close and they were more than just master and apprentice. Both Ahsoka and Ezra couldn’t save their masters from their fates but their masters eventually gave up their lives for the ones they care about!
NAHHHH THIS IS AMAZINGG. PERFECTLY CAPTURES EVERYTHING ABOUT THEIR BOND. And the editing itself is incredible, I LOVE to see it. Definitely my favourite Master and padawan duo! 😁
I swear we better see Kanan in the World Between Worlds before Ahsoka is finished. We at least gotta see Dume at least once. I gotta know he’s still out there, looking after his family in the force.
@@anannonymouscoverartist I hope, I am glad we at least got to see plenty of his family. Zeb was also suspiciously absent, I was really hoping we'd get to see him reunited with Ezra, since they had that whole brotherly bond thing going. I'm sure Zeb misses Ezra almost as much as Sabine does... or did. I guess they were saving the full reunion for season 2... Maybe we'll see Dume(Kanan's spirit wolf) return when Ezra returns to Lothal? Honestly at this point I'm just hoping we get a chance to see a second season, with an actor dead, and audience reactions being... mixed, disney might just scrap the whole project and put it on ice, at least until the new movie is out.
Yeah I remember struggling with 2CH on this, that’s why. I couldn’t find the episodes in 6CH anywhere so I had to do my best to filter out the background noise myself, hence the audio isn’t very clean but I did what I could🫠
He he did come back he reincarnated into a wolf like creature and came back and saved them but then because he's a spiritual be he had to return back to where he came because those wolves are known as more of a spiritual creature than a physical creature in a manner of speaking. So what happens now especially with the son of Canaan? And I'm not just talking Ezra either.
Kanan Jarrus is the most underrated and underestimated jedi of all time and I love that about him ❤

True dat 👏

Just like Anakin and Ahsoka used to be
“I’ll always come back.”
MY HEART. They’re MY FAVORITE Father/Son duo. 😭😭❤❤
And he even came back to help Ezra after death in another form😭😭
“I think you inspired the kid to do something, you know, like you would do!” Putting that on top of both of their last moments?!? Genius. 😭😭😭👍🏻

Doubt it Qui-Gon would have been similar to Obi Wan and Yoda. But this was the type of relationship Anakin needed.

I love these types of moments: when Ezra is close to dying because it shows how much Kanan cares about him. ❤❤❤

Omg my childhood 😢
My top favourite Jedi depiction. If Qui Gon ever knew Kanan , he would love him.

It is. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s great. Clone Wars is just better in most peoples opinions.
To me clone wars is inferior to rebels.
