I could add: - Avoid moving from a stop in 2nd gear or even 3rd gear lol , i know it can be done, but that is actually a big strain on the clutch and transmission itself. 1st gear was literally made for this. -Manual transmissions have fluid too. 90% never changes it , i would say once in a blue moon you should at least consider changing it, it's relatively cheap and easy to do on most cars and it can help in the winter on some gearboxes as well. -Obviously avoid money-shifting a.k.a skipping gears when downshifting ( from 4th gear you go into 2nd instead of 3rd or stuff , at high rpm you risk breaking your engine on the spot lol ) - Learn your car's Gear shift RPMs , shifting when you should will add life to your engine and car in the long run , rather than shifting too early or too late.
You forgot one thing. Don't downshift to a gear that's way to low for the current speed. A lot of people begin downshifting to 2nd gear directly from 5th when they approach an exit, they press down the clutch from full speed, engine goes down to idle and then at 30 mph they pull hard to get it in 2nd gear to be ready for the exit, the synchronizer rings get a heck of a job to try match the current speed with the speed that idle on 2nd actually would be.
I always coast in neutral, always have. Fewer engine RPM means less wear and tear on both the engine and gearbox. Coasting in gear is effectively engine braking.
I drive manual transmission cars only since 1975 and I always coast in neutral when slowing down. The biggest mistake people make is not learning how to drive manual. Currently I own a Civic 5 Sp Manual with 235,000 miles and a 10th gen. Accord 2.0T Sport 6MT with 20,000 miles. Both drive like new.
If you want to place your hand on the shifter because it feels natural you can do so just don't apply the same amount of pressure you would when changing gears instead lightly lay your hand on the shifter
Jesus is God, and the only one there is, he saved me from dying, helped me when no one did and talked to me in person even though I rejected him and hated him all my life. Turn to Jesus before it's too late✝️♥️
@ Read the Bible, the book of John is a great start, anyone can understand it, if you want English that is simple and accurate that doesn’t use hard to understand words like “thou, thy” use NIV version, translated straight from the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts.
@@danielestrada1850and don't use NIV lol the best bet for English is KJV albeit a bit archaic, or the NKJV, which is not as good, but is less archaic. The OSB (Orthodox Study Bible) is based on the NKJV translation and includes commentary from the holy fathers of the Church.
I'd add a 9th. Don't wear flipflops while driving.
Thats not bad just don't heel and toe with them hahah
@@KritipongChaiyapuaknew balance shoe is a must for heel-n-toe😅

Shift RPMs?

It consums more fuel, the oil circulation is lower. I prefer engine breaking.
Driving with flip flops?
Big mistake!😂
The biggest mistake is that most car companies don’t offer manual transmission anymore.
These are all things that should be taught when learning to drive a manual gearbox car.
10. Slipping the clutch too much / using too much gas when starting from a stop.
9. Letting your wife drive it. 😂
Thanks for your information it’s very helpful
Thanks for watching Richard! I'm glad you found it helpful!

No. Any amount of pressure, no matter how little, will transfer to the linkage components. And as stated, keep both hands on the wheel.
Riding the clutch is like left foot brakers resting their foot on the brake pedal.
9 - granny shifting, not double-clutching like ya should.
