As always, thanks for watching this week's vlog. If you liked it make sure to subscribe! This should be the last time we have bad audio quality. We really loved filming in the UK and can't wait to go back to explore more. Next week we will be in a new country! Don't miss it! 🙂 - Brandon & Anja
I was raised in Devon, so Exeter was my go-to city as a teen. It has lots of lovely old buildings but unfortunately it was very damaged in WW2, so they only really exist in small pockets, such as around the cathedral. Much if the main high street and the other streets are post-war. They rebuilt quite a large area called Princesshay in the 2000s because it was so horrible! It’s a much smarter city now because of that redevelopment. My personal choice is to spend time around the cathedral, with its ancient buildings and character. The cathedral green is a lovely picnic spot on a sunny day, though it is actually the site of a mass plague burial pit… 😱😂 The quay is really nice too. You can walk/ cycle along the river there are access two pubs: Double Locks and Turf Locks. You can only access Turf Locks by foot, bike or boat. It sits right at the end of the river, by the estuary.
We didn't have any expectations going in, as we didn't really know much about it. It was quite charming. 😄 That's all very interesting! We spent a lot of time around the cathedral, but it was set up for the Christmas Market at the time (we've got a whole video dedicated to the Cardiff and Exeter Markets).
Thank you friend for taking me back to my Uni days in Exeter, it’s a wonderfully vibrant city, as a student I spent many a night stumbling round the cobblestones streets gazing at the architecture even in the state I was in!!❤❤
I'm Exeter born and bred - except for 21 years living away as a military wife. Someone I know was in the background at your visit to Boston Tea Party! Exeter Cathedral or the Cathedral Church of St Peter in Exeter is awesome - It has the longest uninterrupted medieval vaulted ceiling in the world. The Cathedral is what makes Exeter a City.
Loving these shots! This vlog was super fun to watch. Really wish we had the chance to explore the UK! How did Anja's tattoo come out? Also, that breakfast sandwich looked amazing! 😍Great video! Cheers.
Thanks! This Saturday is finally the first Morocco vlog. The audio is definitely better than these last two vlogs (which we had incorrectly hooked up the mic 😂). We love the UK. You guys definitely need to visit- and visit Europe in general. But make sure you let us know when ya do! 😜 That whole breakfast was freakin' amazing. I'll send you the result on Insta.

She definitely doesn't have the typical German accent you'd think of. Most people have no idea where she is from. And American and Canadian accents can be pretty similar depending on the region. Happy you enjoyed your stay here in Exeter, one of the top ten safest cities in England, And FYI @13:26 Never get that close to swans, they can break your arm in an instant.
Swans are nuts. We have them in Canada as well. We left very quickly after that - I know what they're capable of! Hahaha. Yes, we quite enjoyed ourselves. It's nice to get out of the big cities, and visit some smaller, more relaxed towns.
Thanks for visiting. Exeter is a nice city with a good quality of life. The area/county is known for its beautiful countryside, national parks such as Dartmoor and Exmoor and the wonderful coast path. Its a very popular destination for tourists in the summer as has many resorts and pretty coastal towns. I think the area is really worth a visit. However, Exeter in its self is not going to blow you away!! It's a nice place to live and work and eat haha not wow you.
We'd love to visit more of the surrounding areas some time on the future! We quite enjoy the smaller cities in towns in the UK. We're headed back soon to make some videos in Northern England and Scotland. Looking forward to it!
I was born on July 5th 2008 and I live in Exeter and I have to say that it's quite a nice place to live in, I'm obsessed with buses since I have autism so I love seeing the buses driving up and down the city centre.
It seemed like quite a nice place to visit! There were definitely a lot of busses going in and out while we were- but we got in by train, which is our favorite way to travel for sure.
We just call them breakfast muffins in England. A lot of people who haven't been to the UK often confuse English muffins with crumpets, but they are 2 completely different things, crumpets are a bit like a fluffy aerated pancake, whereas the breakfast muffins are more bread-like.
We're obsessed with crumpets! Those little perforations trap all the delicious butter and spreads. SO GOOD. But do people traditionally put on them in the UK? We do jam and butter...but we're also a big fan of putting peanut butter on top.

Ahh its a shame you didn't have longer here, there's so much more to explore, especially if you're into Harry Potter!! a lot of places in the book/film are based on places in Exeter, for example Diagon Alley is based on a small street called Gandy street.
We may re-visit some day! Anja may want to get another tattoo there. We also would like to re-film there, since this is one of the first vlogs we ever made, and it's pretty bad. Haha. We do like Harry Potter, so that'll be on the list if we ever return!
Thanks! That's what we're aiming for. One thing we're really trying to do is show off the city, and it's sites, without being too "history channel". Please don' let Anja tattoo all over her neck and hands like you did. It would spoil her beauty. Why do you need to tattoo all over your body, it doesn't look good, I have to say.
Dear Susie...we're not bothered whether or not you think we look good or not. I'm not Anja's boss, so she do whatever it is she likes with her body. It's not my concern...and it most certainly isn't yours. Thanks for watching! 😃
