One more think about French saturation that you didn't mention: while destroyers can't take citadel hits, they do have a portion of hull that counts as citadel. A ship's citadel HP is well in excess of the ship's total HP, meaning it cannot saturate before the ship sinks. French destroyer citadels *can* saturate. So while every other destroyer will take consistent damage if you hit the mid section, French destroyers will not.
So to sum up: anytime you don't have to fight against carriers and subs you could have a fun match in this dd? Isn't that true of every single ship in this game? Double cvs and triple sub matches have ruined the game. I'm curious how the playerbase numbers, especially NA, have been faring lately.

It ranges at its peak between 8k and 14k. Buy if you average it all out its about 9500 for NA during peak hours. At non peak hours it stays a constant 2400+.
I am a dd main. Subs and cvs don’t bother me. I actually like it as I have to change my tactics. And since both teams have equal numbers then it’s still even.

you're all wrong, they simply had a bad batch of torps made that all had small cracks in the metal casings, the longer the torp is in the water, the more water leaks into the black powder, thus reducing the boom at the end....lol

Sometimes yes and some dds have armor belts that can't be penned by he. Those belts also help guarantee full pens. It just really depends on the dds in question and the scenario tho.

6km is when early announcement, then buffed and now nerf again to 7 or 7.5km (i forget). Cassard is really mix match of Kleber and Marceau but the gameplay can be 2 gameplay: 1. Regolo but without smoke so you need to rely on the saturation gimmick and the speed boost that not even fast enough as standard of kleber/marceau. She might be like kleber leg mod but my friend said more into regolo due to short speed boost 2. Classic marceau/kleber gun boat. Its hard against Kleber, especially againts the leg mod so better pick kleber for torps. For gun, probably can out gun kleber IF no mbrb and no speed boost
The powercreep is real and obvious and I don't like it. Previously you had to choose between mutiple sets of torps in port (like Shimakaze) or at least you had to choose between them before launch (like Minegumo). They were radically different and you needed to know what you were choosing. With this new Cassard mechanic you essentially get all the torpedoes in one package for free. They are simultaneously point blank mini nukes and long range zoning tools. Cassard also gets the guns to defend itself. Such freedom is lacking from older torpedo boats, Cassard will invalidate Shima, Gearing, Halland and the likes.
Stop providing false information! The torp damage at max (13.5km) range is 40% of the max damage, which translates to ~9700 damage NOT 17000, lower than Halland.

@@cheeseplate44 The Maine was pushing into a won flank, he just lacked the tools for spotting PQ when his friendly DD decided to smoke up and hide rather than take on the lone DD. The Maine was not doing anything wrong other than hoping his team mate would actually do their job. Z-46 out spots Cassard by a fair bit there is no reason why the Z-46 didn't just 1/4 speed and let PQ spot himself for the Maine. Also not to be that guy but Valoord has a point, DDs are un-fun to play against, and the power creep with them has been insane. Cassard having effectively faster Shima torps out to around 7-7.5km with a much faster reload, tighter spread, better torp angles, with the gun DPM of Halland, and French damage saturation. Let's be real the only reason to play Halland at all after Cassard comes out is if you REALLY want that extra 1.5km of torp range, because even at minimum damage Cassard's torps hit harder and have the exact same reaction time, and Halland is already a stupid powerful DD.
