The sims calling everyone on the team useless, then does nothing, gets sunk and ends up bottom of the team. Ironic
And to make it worse, he survived for almost the entire game in a ship with improved base xp gain...
Average Sim's enjoyer. I don't know what it is but every one I've run into has been a bad player, and usually the one to rage. It isn't that amazing of a ship and I think it may be a bit of a trap for poor players thinking it will carry them.

Ranked has honestley been my oasis for WoWs. Smaller teams and no up tiers make it just so much more enjoyable to play because you can actually push in and make plays. Of course you still get blowouts and those bad loss streaks sometimes but that's par for the course in WoWs.
Ditto. If you play during the day before the school kids get out you'll see your WR rocket (I went from 50-75%). And never, ever, ever play weekends.
Bronze is nice, but then it gets exponentially worse and worse. Gold is a fckin slug fest.

Ranked games became my second go-to mode after stopped playing on randoms completely and if Wargaming will keep messing up the map/team sizes on brawls & it'll keep attract more players with obbsesive passive play style they bring from random games, Ranked will become my favorite permanent game mode for sure. Scharnhorst 43 helped me a lot to reach on silver level to avoid team related problems / defeats (afk, playing poorly etc.) and thanks to her, it gave me the chance of keep grinding on tier 9 ships i have after Asymetrical Battles ended. West Virginia 43 is also exceeded my expectations and made the D-Day missions enjoyable for me as a player who doesn't own Atlanta :)
Shininome for me is my only T7 shop.
Cossack for T8. Mogador or kita T9 and the more fun than a barrel of monkeys Shima with F3 torps for TX
My go to ship for this tier of ranked is the Renown '44 and anyone who owns it should try it. Secondary build with brisk and it has been putting in major work getting me to tier 1 each sprint. She has a great conceal (10.5km), is super fast (33 knots) to get to flanks and take advantage of the map, the main guns with 25 second reload and AP which has a short fuse to hurt everything, overmatch at tier 7, and battlecruiser accuracy. Gun angles are very comfortable too. On top of that her secondary guns have tier 10 german battlecruiser accuracy so you nail DD's and light cruisers that pop up killing them fast, and get a ton of hits into anything else for fires. Cannot forget the 4 per side 10km British BB torps too. Finally a speed boost and hydro to round out the tools, and a repair party that has half the cooldown of other BB's. She can heal more in the short ranked games so she is always with good health.
Maxing out at tier 7 means all the downsides when you get up tiered (short range, meh armor for tier 8/9 games, only 6 guns) get negated with the faster, brawling, nature of ranked. She performs how a battlecruiser should in my mind, fast and agile like a cruiser but big guns and armor like a full battleship. She loves to be running around the map helping all over, and especially flanks.
I truly think she is the anti-Scharnhorst in tier 7 ranked. I regularly 1v1 with them and come out ahead, and usually with a lot of HP left. I'm faster so they cannot always get in torped/secondary range (since players like to rush), I can fire AP into the superstructure with the short fuse, and nail them with torps further out. Finally if we brawl close in I have a lot of torp power and super fast firing/accurate secondary's to deal with them them.
WG should implement the same visualization of penetration they have on War Thunder, because when something funny happens, you wanna know what kind of bs struck you, and how to avoid it
@@Kapi.23 some sort of training or after action report would be nice showing that. A ton of things they could do to help players but that part of the game design is over
I once played hsienyang and 2 people said i did nothing. I didnt even have support but somehow i devstriked 2 ships and capped 3 times. Ended up first place.😂
I have been frustrated with Randoms for a while now. That´s why I play mostly Ranked and Brawls, and frankly I have a lot more fun in those modes. I don´t remember in what patch we are supposed to get Airship Escort and and the other games modes included in Randoms. Maybe that will get me to play that mode again more often now.
I watched you play Indy on a stream a few months ago, and it looked really good after the bow armor buff...so I picked it up...and wow it's a very comfortable and effective cruiser option...thanks!
The 10 km radar is phenomenal for T7, and being able to bounce 356 mm shells is not bad either.
I have no idea why everyone takes IFHE on Scharn43, it gets insane fire chance on its secondaries, taking IFHE just removes that advantage. The ennemies are litteraly always on fire when they get in range when you don't cut your fire chance.
Probably because the full secondary build Lutjens that your putting on the Scharn has IFHE. Unless your pigging the gold to respec him everytime you switch from his other ships to the Scharn.

What would help mid tier(T6/7) Cruisers and BBs would be an armour buff. A lot have 16mm bows, meaning 16*14.3=228.8mm is all that's needed to overmatch their armour. Upper belts tend to be only 25mm so 357.5mm is needed to overmatch their upper belts. There are very few T6/7 BBs that can't overmatch basically every T6/7 cruiser everywhere. Personally I feel T6/7 BBs should be buffed up to 30mm bow/stern with 32mm upper belt armour and T6 Cruisers bumped up to 27mm bow/stern with 28mm upper belts, and T7 Cruisers should have the same 27mm bow/stern with 29mm upper belts.
Then you take T8/9/10 Cruisers and apply the same ideas, bumping them up to 32mm minimum upper belts, and 30mm bows.The extra armour not only would help with BBs dealing more damage when a Cruiser goes broadside as there would be more armour in the way to fuse and slow the shell, but also give cruisers at least some hope of bouncing BB shells when angled. It would also help T6/7 BBs play into double up tiers because you wouldn't be missing anywhere near as much armour as you are now.
I've used Scharn once in Ranked. Been running my Haida and finally got my Captain at 21pts. It's fun, but also frustrating with high rate of fire cruisers when I get spotted. Either way, it's fun :D
I prefer the OG king of tier 7 ranked, the Belfast. Open water gun boating in a Belfast is a rush because you tend to draw everyone's fire, but you take some pressure off your team. BBs tend to not respect your guns and will give you broadside often, after a few 5k ap smacks they start to understand their mistake. DDs and other cruisers are just food. Her stealth lets her play close and even be the teams dd if needed. Of course it can all be over in a split second, but that is the rush.

@@cornfieldcrawlers9907 it is very powerful but she hurts if the enemy scarns push her hard. No trops can be a killer if your team won't support you.
3 hits, 3 citadels on the Francesco Ferruccio, even with augmented health 3 WV '44 cits are more than enough to kill her. You found one of those spots in her armor. Now you know why she's a "special premium" ship.
Play pretty much only ranked these days.
People don’t really camp, room to move, hardly any SS or CV, and you get a good number of teams who will push hard for a fantastic brawl.
Randumbs are completely painful and boring in comparison.
Gameplay in ranked is best in the first half of the sprint. Almost always solid and people know what to do.
The back half has people starting to push into qualify for the next league, and the gameplay quality plummets.
First half of sprint is by far the best for advancing for qualifying, if you haven’t advanced then use it for fun, missions and getting rewards. If you are trying hard to qual in the second half it will be really frustrating if you get a string of teams with players who don’t really know what to do.
Try hood in tier 7 it's op as f 87% winrate chonking 10-15 k per salvo at angled bbs
Hood was a lot of fun. Perfer Renown '44 but I was shocked by how good the Hood was. Also a lot of people have no idea what she can and cannot do since so few play her. Just don't show that broadside and keep away from the torp brawlers.

Renown '44. I don't know if anyone can get it anymore but if you have it run it with brisk/secondary build and act as the flanker. Don't yolo in like a Scharnhorst and carry games.

When playing ranked, first objective, get the hell out of Bronze and into Silver. most of the craziness disappears, well until the end of the season. Second goal if I am getting over level 6 early in the sprint in silver. Go for gold. Why, gold is a place of do not F up or someone just might delete you. You can play well enjoy a nice battle, but very seldom will you see another player yolo into the other team alone, then someone else do the same thing right after he dies.
Broadside cruisers eat mostly overpens from big guns even at 10km plus that's why you shouldn't angle
i had a guy complain thad dds were op after getting torped by a cruiser that he broadsided at 5km
I love ranked. T8 and up is really nice, but I personally see soooooo many throws and matches that would have been won, at t7 and 6
Scharnhorst 43 is a great BB. Close range fast reload torpedoes are great

10:46 Id even say two heals base and 3 with SI are fine on almost all mid tier cruisers. They just get brutalized by overmatch. And the ever present HE spam also hurts.
Btw. Id wish California also has these secondaries... It has no overmatch after all, why does it have to be straight up worse than WV44?

Try SALEM with 1 v 1 Brawl. I got 11 citidel hits on a napoli with 2 salvos, he was gone. lol

i almost only play ranked since subs were introduced :)
Before the whole CVnt and Subby Sob update years ago, the gameplay in random was also more skilled and brawling. Now you got freeloaders with free bbs sitting back at max range and hiding behind an island with all the hp and heal while the very few remaining dds get yelled at for being dumb while the entire team sits behind and island and wait 😂 i started taking our marceu or elbing and stay behind or near bbs so they get baited 😂 the mount of shite these freeloaders type in chat is amazing 😂😂

I've been playing since beta and never played one rank game. What are the benefits?
There are some in game rewards for rising in rank, but honestly I just like the small teams, same-tier matchmaking, and that people push up rather than camping the back.
Downside is that players are a bit more toxic than in Randoms.

Considering most of the player base has zero karma, playing ranked will destroy all your karma no matter how well you do. WG needs to make it so any player without karma is not allowed to take karma. It's hard to earn and super easy to lose to idiot jerkoffs.
How do you switch to spotter plane view when using it?
The standard parameter is pressing C on your keyboard after zooming in withALT. Press C a second time if you want normal camera.
