2003-നും 2006-നുമിടയിൽ രണ്ട് ഇരട്ടക്കൊലപാതകങ്ങളും അത് കൂടാതെ പുത്തന്വേലിക്കരയിൽ കുപ്രസിദ്ധിയാർജ്ജിച്ച ദേവകിയുടെ കൊലപാതകവും അടക്കം 5 അജ്ഞാത കൊലപാതകങ്ങൾ നടത്തിയതായി ജയാനന്ദൻ സമ്മതിച്ചതായി പോലീസ് പറയുന്നു.
എന്നാൽ മജിസ്‌ട്രേറ്റിന് മുന്നിൽ ഹാജരാക്കിയ ഉടൻ തന്നെ അയാൾ തൻ്റെ മൊഴികൾ പിൻവലിച്ചെന്നും പോലീസ് മർദനത്തിലൂടെയാണ് കുറ്റസമ്മതം നടത്തിയത് എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ 17 വർഷത്തിനിടയിൽ അയാൾ ആ മൊഴിയിൽ ഉറച്ച നിൽക്കുന്നു.
