Fearless was insane
it's a shame that the spectating was basically permanently on the DPS, barely ever showed Fearless' POV, so we missed all his space making and even his 1v1 picks
This, his tank gameplay was next level between making space for his teammates and getting in Proper's face enough to prevent him from doing too much damage. Well earned MVP
well the people choosing the MVPs def noticed him.
The resiliency from Edison to maintain composure is just next level. So much props to him!

Uber's commentary is so explosive on that play too. Casters are so on point this year, vs previous years. They actually know what's going on. The talent changes were actually perfect, although we did lose some familiar names.

Thank you for highlighting him. Fielder is the silent force driving this team forward. Back in his Paris Eternal days he already impressed me massively, playing Ana from home on high ping and still letting his skill shine. He's my favourite player in the Overwatch League right now.
By far the greatest finals in the Overwatch World. Back and forth. Proper may be the league MVP and Rookie of the Year, but Edison said I'm having this one, he took it personally. Both players are World Class in their own right, The positioning, the diving/peeling every space taken is crucial from both Tanks
Proper can only do so much carrying his team. Edison literally has stars around him. Not even comparable.

I'm beyond happy for Fearless. The man finally gets the trophy and Grand Finals MVP. It must have been heartbreaking to switch from the Dragons to the Fuel and then see how is former team wins the trophy without him.

honestly the kitsune rush + reaper ult from dallas was used extremely well giving crucial team wipes and tipped the scale in their favor. well played

this meta is obviously an improvement from the accursed GOATS era, but the lack of hero variance is still kinda boring. the same 5 characters played on both sides every match, every map... hope it changes soon
Yes ! And it crushes the team's play styles and identities... Same hopes, but marketing is the almighty here. Noone cares about the players in those financial dpt...
Honestly thats how most OW meta's have been though....There were very few times when there was any variation to the meta and the most memorable one was when DF went SYM on blizzard world last year when hitscan was meta but they had no good hitscan players on their roster.

What? Philly, back when they were good, was still only the 2nd or 3rd best team in their region, and was famous for always falling apart in tournaments, and never winning much of anything. Moments of brilliance, but bad when it mattered most. And now they're just bad.
Shock had an almost entirely new roster, of rookies no less, and still managed to make it to game 7 of the Grand Finals.

it's the meta, sojourn is the best hero in the entire game right now and the comp is built all around synergies and counters for sojourn, it sounds terrible but it's probably gonna change later

Proper's back broke the last two maps. He couldn't do anything anymore. His team is so mid.
Great match. Great to watch. Great ending. But how did Edison not become MVP? He was amazing with everything he has done and shut down all the haters.
Because Fearless is the only reason why Edison had the space to do anything to begin with. Also unlike Edison, who was getting hard diff'd the first 5 maps, Fearless was consistently great all game, all playoffs even.
