Man, Colosseo just felt like a dismantling. The entire series was so close but god damn the fuel looked scary on that last map. It looked like all the pieces fell into place. Especially fearless made the tank gap insanely apparent Thanks for the good OW content again 👍
As stuck as this meta was, this was a great display of what overwatch can really be. Looking forward to hopefully some more dynamic metas in the future *cough cough sojourn and kiriko cough* that lift this game even further Edit: changing is to was cuz as pointed out by comments, this is technically an older meta despite kiriko and sojourn still being busted
Yeah, amazing meta. So amazing that countering doesn't even exist. Kiriko and sojourn are so ridiculously OP at mid/high level that not only there is no reason not to choose them, but also they're pretty mucho uncountareable.

This championship match sums up why I love Overwatch, I don't mind this mirror matchup because it only showed up for the playoffs. In the Plat Chat interview with S9mm and Coluge, they were saying the meta was actually something involving Echo at some point, but everyone assumed Dallas would figure out how to flip it once everyone arrived in California
Proper is absolutely insane. I haven't watched any competitive OW at all since OW2 released and wow Soujorn is just unstoppable at a high enough level. That character really has no drawbacks by the looks of it. Pretty exciting to watch as well. Just great character design.
Proper is so cracked, a killing machine! From route 66, Edison really didn't falter under the fact that he was Dallas' key to victory. Even if Dallas could maintain Edison eternally alive, if he hadnt showed up, it woud be vain, but he didnt disappoint and clearly put up a fight against proper. Everyone in Fuel did their job very well and we can see how happy they are to have won the championship title after putting up such a great performance
honestly, as a fuel fan I didn't really think proper deserved mvp over hanbin. But with the way he was playing, my heart was in my mouth everytime his POV was on screen. I knew he was good, I did not realise how good coming into that match

This was an insane match. As a season 1 Outlaws fan, I didn't think I'd ever root for the Fuel, but it was very impressive to see them turn it around. Great commentary as always AE.
23:21 Coach Aero hasn't worked with the Dallas Fuel in years, RUSH is the team's current Head Coach, and has been ever since their 2021 rebuild. It literally takes 5 minutes to check their Liquipedia page lol
I'm actually impressed by the recap. It's not just showing what happened, but why as well and highlighting key plays and key decision making moments. You'd do good on the league desk lol
I'd love to see a deeper dive into Dallas' strategy on push maps. Throughout season 5 they showed incredible understanding of how to play and win the new game type

I was a big OWL fan for the 1st season, I was tuning into games and even got my GF into it a bit. As a sports fan, I was treating it like a football game drinking beers and getting hyped at my TV lol. I watched the 2nd season but a bit less so. Since then I've just fallen off of watching. I was always a Fuel fan, mostly because of Seagull. It's awesome to see the Fuel finally getting it done. This analysis makes me want to get back into watching. I was never really into eSports. Very occasionally I would checkout a round of CS:GO. But Overwatch is really fun to watch, the issue is how much data you need to process to watch it all and appreciate everything. If you don't play the game and play competitive. You likely have no clue what's going on majority of the time lol. But I should get back into playing and watching some OW, this video was awesome. What I really miss was when they did the Overwatch World Cup. When team USA finally beat Korea that was so awesome. All of those matches were so competitive and Blizzard did an amazing job organizing it all. I really miss that mystique and allure that early Overwatch had. Probably my favorite game of all time in all honesty. Very few games have captured the cultural impact that Overwatch did. I hope some day we can get a true sequel to Overwatch. Something to really bring a ton of players back into it and get people truly excited again. I'm not sure it will ever happen. It's incredibly hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice, but one can hope lol. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Akshon, your content is so well produced, even if I only watch a video or two every couple years lol.
I havent played overwatch since 2018 but this was a really cool and insightful video and im glad I chose to watch it seeing these fights broken down into slow motion like this makes me appreciate how insane these frame specific interactions are just like in fighting games

Ive been following Fuel since XqC played on it in 2017 and 2018. And even tho I havent payed much attention all these years, it feels good seeing them come back and win 2022
Great Video👍🏻 but some Quotes are wrong, Shock were the Underdogs in the Grandfinals. Shock were the ones Stepping up in the GF. We always thought Dallas was unbeatable at that Comp, but Shcok showed that they aren't, yet the Video makes it seem otherwise.
Without a doubt the best grand finals we've ever had in OWL, absolutely incredible all around. Each team had a fantastic story line that made rooting for either one a lot of fun. I was rooting for shock mainly because I wanted to see Proper just win everything in his rookie year, but the Fuel 100% was the better team that day. Also yeah, as others have pointed out, Aero hasn't been a coach for the Fuel in at least 3 years at this point, if not longer. I don't know how that got into your script.
To be honest,a part of me wanted to see the 3peat, but a new winner brings some freshness, I wonder if the Fuel will be able to pull off their own 2 time.
