  • With sub zero temperatures, decided time to get some heat installed. Should be able to get more videos out now I can feel my fingers! Hope you enjoy

The recommended specs are the same as the eberspacher. The exhaust length shouldn't exceed 2mtrs with a maximum of 270 degree bends unless you increase the pipe diameter. The pipe position should also run in a downward incline to stop condensation pooling in the pipe. You would have to fit a condensation drain on the lowest point in the exhaust to prevent this if the exhaust vents higher up. All this leads to air flow restrictions and the issues that come with it. Hope this helps.

Thanks, going to redesign the setup before next winter 👍 will take these points on board

Couldn’t you just run the exhaust through the wall where the heater is?

The exhaust pipe should be able to drain itself to the outside.
Would be a good choice to put it on a shelf and let all the moisture drip outside instead of forcing the burner to push it out

Will be redesigning the layout before next winter 👍

You should get a 240v to 12v transformer

Did you not read that the exhaust should not have more than 270° total of bend in it?? Those 3 90's just before the window is the limit and I'm sure there's more that cannot be seen

Will read up, nothing in the instructions- although they were limited. Wondering if that is meant for the flexi pipe supplied with the unit, as most people won’t add a run of copper to vent it out of a building. But thanks for the heads up will investigate 👍

You can ad more bends than 270, but only if you increase the pipe diameter substantially. It will run for a time, but there will be issues like overheating or premature sooting in the burn chamber, facilitating the need of a total tear down and cleaning.
