I had such a massive crush on the white haired witch elf on the front of the Dark Elf Army Book. Explains a lot about my dating habits.
Haha classic comment
LOL
It might explain a lot, but it also raises a question: how did you survive this long?!
Me too, except the cold one
So you either like older women, platinum blonds, crazies,or all 3 combined!
If memory serves, each high elf carves his name on the rocky walls of the pass before the battle, to ensure their names live on.
And I'm sure Imarillion went out with a big smile having at least killed the witch elf general and given her host a bloody nose before dying
As a ~14 year old 40k player at the time I remember going into the GW store on weekends to play a big beginner battle on the store table, 8 v 8 or however many kids turned up. After the 40k battle it was time for WFB and I remember staying around to look at people's armies and being captivated by the enigmatic game they played. This battle elicits a bit of that feeling + a dose of nostalgia!
Love hearing these stories of the good old days of games played in the red walled stores of Games Workshop during the 90's. Happy to hear the video brought back some fond memories for you.
The High Elves are gradually performing better as this war goes on. I must cheer for my people.
Both armies look superb on the tabletop as always. Worthy of a White Dwarf spotlight.
Thank you very much for watching and supporting the true Elves of the Warhammer World.
Phenomenal battle report, short yet very sweet. I might never tire of seeing these two armies clash!
Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed the video and I hope you enjoy the final clash of these two classic armies
Great as always, these short BR are perfect when doing a bit of painting!
So good to see all of these old school miniatures. Been doing some painting of these recently and they have a charm that really appreciates delicate painting work.
Great to hear you are painting some classic models of the 90’s! Thanks for watching and commenting
" "Black Gem of Gnar". Now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time." - Old Ben Kenobi, (probably). Absolutely love this series! In fact, your first battle inspired me to pull out my Tears of Isha boxset to start crafting some armies again! It's crazy how the flow of your games match up with the historical notes found within the book (as, if I remember correctly, it was High Elves archery causing trouble early in the game and then the Dark Elves munching through them in close combat). Can't wait for the final battle! Might be worth filming "after battle" segments, just to hear the thoughts of the players on how the game went.
Great to hear I can inspire you to pull that glorious campaign set of the shelf and get you to motivated to play the campaign with a friend. As for the final battle and your suggestion I will try and implement that for you as I like that idea a lot. The last one deserves that I think.
I envy with the intensity of Khaine that cold one knight unit
This is top level nostalgia battle reports. Fantastic work, as usual.
Thanks Miguel
This elf trilogy gives vibes of "Shadow of the Horned Rat" and "Dark Omen" games. I've never played them by myself, but watched playthroughs. These games are truly represented the 5th edition. And your videos gives me "from the creators" of these games atmosphere, but in tabletop.
You can't imagine for how long I searched for a battle reports like THIS. It is like an episode of a series, not just playing game, but work of art. Would be also great to watch something in 40k with it's old classic editions style and with that level of a story you guys present!
Another banger, cant wait to see the finale!
Loving the Put Put Mini Golf Terain ❤
Put put on the golf course of the Old World!
That was a bloody affair with elf killing elf on the battlefield....... Those Witch Elves are a nasty blood thirsty group!
They sure are Rusty and those blood drinking biatches must be dealt with early on that’s for sure
@@thecrownofcommand5830 I might have to start painting my Dark Elves 🤔
Fantastic. Two glorious armies fighting it out in classic style. I love it! Those are peak-era Dark Elf models imho. The best!
Thank you very much Dan and happy to hear you enjoyed the batrep. Paul will be happy to hear that you like his Dark Elves. I just enjoy killing them when my dice allow me lol
Great to see the High Elf sacrifice was not in vain! Well done, Josh.
Was it just my impression, or did the bolt throwers' performance leave something to be desired?
The one that broke was unfortunate. The one on his right flank helped him hold me until the 7th turn though.
The Witch Elves probably regret not bringing The Ruby Chalice to the battle...😂
I bet haha
Great game even though I don't play WFB. It is like the photos of WD have come alive
Wonderful battle report. Really well done video, and great dosis of nostalgia too.
I really like the style of this battle report. Will definitely look at your others.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy the other battle reports I’ve made over the years. Thanks for watching and commenting

Love this brosephus! Actually went out and bought all the 5e campaigns to play some locally!
Oh wow! That’s awesome to hear! You will have the best time playing through all of them
If only both sides could have lost, then another entry could be struck from the Book of Grudges.
Haha true that
What a fascinating battle report. If I only lived in Japan 😮
Just come and visit for a holiday mate. Let's play some second edition 40K when you are here. Would love that. Or I come to Germany. Even better.

@@thecrownofcommand5830 That would be great 👏

Thanks Jonny and looking forward to your next video mate as always
@@thecrownofcommand5830 Yeah iv not had much chance to make a video in a while but will be back on it soon 😀
Victory, but at what price.
Yes, I think I have managed to kill more High Elevs at my command than any other general in Warhammer history lol.
Paul is a great fellow, I'm a fantasy player in NYC but have not seen paul in years where are you recording and playing games?
Dude those Dark Elf movement trays are dope. Where can I get like 90 of them
Paul made those mate from materials he picked up at a craft store in Japan.
@@thecrownofcommand5830 wait are you guys playing WHFB in Japan? lol
@@wtfsahandle sure are mate. Have been for years
@@thecrownofcommand5830 whereeeeeee. I am about to head back. dont have armies in JP but would love to watch and then maybe transport an army one of these trips.
@@wtfsahandle awesome. We also play Warhammer Renaissance once every two months for a games day with about 10 players attending in Kashiwa Chiba. At the Miniature Forest store. We will be there this Sunday with we hope 10 players. Hit me with an email when you want to come join us: thecrownofcommandpodcast@gmail.com
I startetd with the blue high elves book and I am glad to see all the wonderful old miniatures. Reading the scenarios I often thought that the high elves have no chance mostly relying on very bad troops compared to the dark elves. One hydra can win the game well... if you dont roll to high! And the hatred rul eist very hard against high elves. It wa sthe 5th or 6th edition? Thanks a lot
@@EinsamerWandererSpricht thank you for watching and commenting and happy to hear it brought back some nice memories of the old army books. This game was played using 5th edition rules. Thanks for commenting too.
@@thecrownofcommand5830 Thanks a lot I am painting again and if I moved in the new house in sweden I will play again! My army is huge so if someone is in Smaland please comment I luckily have enough figures for guests...
