Thank you very much for complimenting my High Elves. They were a nice nostalgia project for as they were my first ever Warhammer army from the 4th edition set. Thanks for watching and commenting
Hello! I've been following your channel for a while and I don't have words to describe the positive and nostalgic feeling it gives me. Although there is something I do want to say, and that is that for me (both when I was a child and today) one of the things that best captured my absolute attention were those vibrant colors that the miniatures, the banners and the scenery had... Those magical greens that made you dream of magnificent forests and meadows that for a few moments were filled with armed conflict between two factions. But there was also something important, and I remember that the armies shown in the publications were often small armies like these (maybe a little bigger) and that made them really nice to see, collect and paint. I admit that images with huge armies captivated my imagination and it was a natural evolution with the improvement of plastic manufacturing and sales needs, BUT those small armies, with some monsters and small, manageable units, that encouraged you to cross a grove of trees (without tedium) or lovingly placing them on a pier, etc... There was something magical that also allowed you to observe the miniatures more closely (without getting lost in a huge mass of soldiers) and that, more often than not and as I said, was They blended better with the environment. All of that is here on your channel and I can almost say that watching one of your videos is the dopamine equivalent of remembering days of nostalgic dreaming. You are a true magician and I wish you the best as well as your channel for the good of the entire community. Thanks a lot. (and sorry for my bad english)
A wonderful comment and reflection of the good old days of the Golden Era of the hobby. Thank you very much for your positive and encouraging comments. If it okay I would like to quote this in our Discord group. I think they would love to read this. Thanks again and there are many videos planned for the channel. Have a good day and your written English is better than mine lol
From darkness I cry for you the tears you shed for us are the blood of Elven kind O Isha Here I stand on the last shore a sword in my hand Ulthuan shall never fall!
Lovely looking armies and battlefield. Good on the Dark elves for carving out a very narrow win! I think you landed in a great format for these reports so keep them coming!
Very well done report, and as allways beautifull armies and terrain. I really enjoy watching these, so please keep them coming. And last but not least, I love that movementtrays are not used, it makes things look much better, allthough more work for you guys playing the battle :)
Thanks for everything Jeppe. My wish is to come visit you and for us to play and make a series of battle reports on your amazing table and terrain and miniatures. That would be the dream for me. I think Paul was being kind to me that day and not used any lol. Didn’t last long though lol. Happy to you enjoyed it my friend
People like to make fun of Goblin Green bases but the way they blend into the grass mat just looks so perfect. It makes the bases disappear and the miniatures look part of the gaming table. Lovely stuff! (And that's not to take anything away from the beautiful Dark Elf army.)
Brilliant! I hope you manage to do a few of these packs. It looks a bit like - from a couple of other channels - that there is fond nostalgia for some of these adventure packs, to the point that some have started doing their own - even if its for their own gaming groups.
I echo some of the comments. I am in fact new to the hobby. I grew up in the 80s and always loved Warhammer from a far. I remember skipping through pages of White Dwarf, just to see those pictures… Seeing wide open green plains, and I remember seeing an army of Bretonnian Knights, and thinking wow… Then 36yrs later, now in my 40s. Looking for a hobby I can enjoy with my kids, I remembered playing Hero Quest and Space Crusade as a kid, and how accessible it was…. And there it began. I created my own rule set (based off of Heroquest format) and 200+ minis later (how addictive?), here we are….. Not that I have ventured in to any proper Wargaming rules - I’m just using mine at the mo. But am always developing the rules further. I may one day venture into Warhammer rules proper - who knows. Still great videos, specially with the narrative additions. It’s all about immersion!
Wonderful to hear your first memories of White Dwarf and the goblin green saturated pages and miniatures. Totally agree about immersion and I love that feeling when I watch other creators content. Thanks for watching and sharing your story as I always enjoy listening and reading how people found out about the table top wargaming hobby.
@@thecrownofcommand5830 I’m only 6 months in. Was literally in a bid to stave off my kids getting into videogames. But it’s morphed into my own hobby now! And oh how I have spent! 🤦🏻 - don’t tell the wife! Yikes!
Awesome and thank you. Next battle report filmed and now editing it. $th and final battle to be played and filmed this coming Monday. I am going to be busy but love what I do to inspire you guys out there. Cheers
That was a suspenseful game! If only Alatar had stayed to fight the Witch Elves. Alas... 'twas not to be. Still, an amazing game. Hopefully our noble defenders of the pass will have better luck!
Thanks David and yes it was a shame he ran instead of fought those drugged shaggy bitches lol. I hope you have better luck with you get to play in your own campaign in the near future
Every time i see your high elves it makes me want to make army but as you know i have my hands full with da gobbos and orcs!, nice video to watch after work with me food
I wonder if any of the other 5th ed mini campaigns will be played, The Grudge of Drong being my favourite of the bunch due to dwarfs being my first army
It sure was risky and I pains for it in blood in the end. Wish I hadn’t and stood the fight now obviously. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated
I love your nostalgic channel bringing back Warhammer as it was intended to be. I’m bitterly disappointed with GW’s release of ‘Warhammer the Old World’. IMO a half hearted effort undertaken by unmotivated employees who have no interest in this area of Warhammer. Example, look at the poor skill level of painting on the new box art. GW appear to have given these miniatures to the least experienced painters in the Evymetal department 🙁😞🇬🇧🙏🌈♥️
Thanks for your comment and feedback mate. Yeah I was quite shocked at the level of painting of some of the models in the new releases. But then again, I think the TOW is kind of a smash and grab money venture for them in the end. Happy to hear this brought you some nostalgic memories. Cheers
Appreciating the freehand on those elves never gets old. You really brought the golden age to life with your work

I really love the Dark Elves range. Not only the classic 4th edition, but 3rd edition too...those Mengil's flayers and the standard bearer...🤩
I personally love the 3rd edition Marauder DE range. Some classics in that range for sure

It's a great example of how effective keeping it simple is
Enjoyed this one a lot. Looking forward to the next Episode!
Thank you and it is on the cutting floor to release late May/ early July
I do love these. Reminds me of my early years of warhammer.
It seems a bit like a tricky scenario for the high elves to win.
Yeah mate it’s always hard for Elves to win when I’m in command of them lol
It's nice to see a variety of scenarios and a campaign. Quite refreshing compared to endless pitched battles.
Thank you and yes the campaigns
are a lot of fun to play. Thanks for watching and commenting
This couldn't be better time as I start painting my 4th edition collection of dark elves!
Great to hear and enjoy all that black and purple
Absolutely brilliant stuff mate!
Thanks for watching and letting me know you enjoyed it mate
Great work on the production!🤩 Really nice armies and scenery as usual!

glad to see another scenario, big fan of the High Elves and Dark Elves, the WHFB armies I always wanted but never managed to get

Nothing is stopping TOW players from painting their models like this...
A strange opinion imo but I do agree the painting quality has been poor the last decade. GW heavy metal team just isn't the same.
