I heard one of two people will get cancer. I'm so happy for you it's treatable. Me and my siblings are getting older so I kind of expect bad news one day. My father and husband died of cancer. It's heartbreaking. I'm so grateful the treatments are improving every year. I'm staying in Portugal the next three months. Dutch winters are miserable. Lisbon is a beautiful city. I hope you'll feel alright. Thank you for your update. ❤ from Amsterdam.

For whatever reason, you came up in my feed, Ted. So sorry to hear about the cancer. I got cancer last year, so I know the shock involved when you are initially told that diagnosis. I will pray for your recovery. Blessings.

Oh dear. Cancer sucks. I’m so sorry to hear you’ve got this challenge. I hope you have a good community of friends in Lisboa to surround you and support you. Hang in the fight. You can do it. Treat yourself with gentle kindness. Spoil yourself even! And should you need an ear, a pep talk, I’m in the E Algarve and am just a phone call away. I’m pulling and praying for you ❤💪🏽

Great advise. I really appreciate that. Love the Algarve, it must be beautiful down there

@ Hi, I hope you’re feeling well. Just want to remind you that you have supporters pulling for you. Holidays can be a challenge for many of us, so if it’s an added challenge for you, seek out little wins, moments of contentment and even joy! Cancer doesn’t get to take that away from you. Nope. Your mental game is important for recovery. 💪🏽
And if you decide to visit the Algarve, I’ll do my best to guide you to places that’ll fill your soul. An easy train ride through the cork forests! It’s rustic here compared to Lisboa for instance, but beautiful too. Lot’s of sun. Can be chilly in winter, but when the sun is out (which is often), it’s warm & lovely. And there is nothing like a vast ocean to remind how amazing this planet is and how lucky we are to be on it, a part of it, for our brief lives. All the best to you 🕊️ and Boas Festas! 🌲🎊

Sorry to hear of the cancer diagnosis. I've been through surgery, chemo, and radiation. It is a difficult journey. As my oncologist told me, the patients who have the best outcome are those that have a positive attitude and a belief and hope in a higher power, no matter what the higher power. Be mad. Be sad. Be happy. You get all the feels as you go through this medical event. You will get through this! So glad you are in a place with a better work/life balance than we have in the states. JP

Thank you for sharing this most personal information. We've just received our visas for Portugal and at 67 and 69 years old this type of health situation in our futures has crossed our minds. Knowing that you are happy and confortable with the care you receive is helpful and important to know. Our very best wishes to you. ❤

My husband diagnosed with throat cancer 2 years ago. We are living at North. We went to have his cancer treatment at MD Anderson cancer center at Houston, Texas [ MD Anderson is the best place of the world and the best place of America for the cancer treatment] the doctors at MD Anderson cancer center said 50% of people in the world diagnosed with cancer and 90% to 95% of people who live in USA diagnosed with cancer. I am not diagnosed with cancer right now but i am preparing. Be strong. You got it, and keep putting your videos on TH-cam to keep us update

I have had multiple myeloma for more than six years. I felt sick for several years and finally got diagnosed when somebody ran the right test. I started treatment in 2019 and I’m currently in the middle of a stem cell transplant to my bone marrow which they say should give me a nice long remission. I am blogging the stem cell transplant on TH-cam so that people going into it will know what to expect as I found it to be the treatment that has given me the highest level of anxiety going into it. Sending you love and light for your recovery.

Lean into it, and then lean harder. Cancer is varied and the outcomes are broad. Of all the good stories there are equally bad outcomes. It’s important to get in your moments and lean into it, then lean harder.

My family owns a small construction company. We work very hard. Things can be challenging. We make fair wages and receive 3-4wks paid vacation. We strive for perfection. We also, always take our vacations. Those not on vacation pick up the slack. Vacations are not an option, they're what its all about. Work to live. Never the other way around.

Prolly have lower out of pocket costs being treated in PT though even if you did have good insurance through work in the US. Sucks to not have friends and family from home around, but that cost savings reduces stress so much too. Not sure how it all balances out...

Just lost my father in law last night
Luckily at home with his family wnd dog
He had brain cancer and was diagnosed 3 months ago
Cancer can be so quick to move
I also have cancer of pelvis area
    In between all organs
    God knows what will happen
..but i chose not to have treatement
..as im all ready bed ridden.
I onow i am not stronge enough for surgery or chemo etc
I did however get to be there for father in law
As i was only one who he felt understood his illness
We became so close in the end
I told him not to be afraid , as life the other is so beautiful
..and then he passed so smoothly.
Im not afraid myself as i have been seriousjy it for 18 years now
I am clwirvoyant and have seen what is the other side
Its so beautiful and euphoric and so hard to explain
But i hope my medical team cwn help control my pain...
I dont ever want to go to hopsital if i can help it
I wish any who is suftering from cancer , a calm smooth journey
I hope you manage to fight and win against the cruel illness
Thinking of you and all your family.
    Xx
