You are doing the right thing. When I was 62 I had the same PSA and Gleason rating. All I wanted was to get the cancer out of my body. I read everything and everything. Your wife says exactly true. I had my prostate removed. The PSA reading is what everybody has to watch. I've been cancer free for 17 years. Good luck and listen to your wife.
If the 4 in the gleason score is less than 5% active surveillance is certainly a better option than having the prostate removed. PSA kenetics are not that big of a deal unless you have had your prostate removed or treated with beam radiation.
Age 69 and got prostate cancer diagnosis just last year. It's always shocking at first until you do your research. Mine started with a somewhat "high" PSA (5.0) during my annual physical but it is holding steady. Had ExoDX urine test at 18.5 (below 15.3 is considered "safe"), went onward with a pelvic MRI. The MRI found 2 lesions (both T2 for the most part) so next came the biopsy. It was done with six region template sampling with 24 needles. Gleason was 3+4 with the more critical "4" part being in the 1-5% category range (they do these ratings in 5% steps). That 3+4 came from the area of the bigger of the two lesions where 3 of 6 needles registered that low "7" level. All other regions were mostly "0" with some "6". That put me at the Intermediate Favorable level. Urologist started immediately pushing me toward getting radical prostatectomy but I decided to start getting some second opinions and I'm glad I did. Further testing by a top rated radiation oncologist with an extensive genomics test showed that I had little likelihood of the few cancer cells being aggressive due to the gene makeup in the biopsy tissue samples. Any treatment (surgery or external beam) would only have a minor improvement in my already favorable odds at my age. Given that, I decided with my urologist and radiation oncologist (and along with the genetic testing printout) to go with Active Surveillance for now. To make sure there was no chance of metastasis, which would be really bad even if just in the surrounding lymph nodes, I had my radiation oncologist order a PSMA PET scan. That is a revolutionary new way to accurately scan for any prostate cancer spread beyond the actual prostate. It came up negative, so no signs of any metastasis. Just finished my 2nd annual pelvic MRI last week and it showed no change in the prostate lesions from last year. That's as good as it gets. They used a strong 3 Tesla MRI machine for the pelvic scan. For my age (soon to be 70) I've already decided that if I need treatment it will be external beam. I like that method because external beam can work the margins where cancer can be hiding and surgery can only cut so deep into those margin areas near the prostate without doing serious damage. One thing I try to keep in perspective is this: The odds are high that as you get older you are very likely to have some cancer growing somewhere in your prostate. It is probably something like 70% chance at age 70, maybe 80% at age 80, etc.. Therefore, I try to remember that most men are likely going to die WITH cancer in old age but not FROM it. Prostate cancer grows very slowly for most men. I suspect those who die from it are those who never get PSA checks and rarely go in for annual physicals. By the time it spreads widely through your bones and lymph nodes you are in serious trouble. That is also when the physical symptoms finally show up. I'll be tracking my condition very closely as time goes on with further PSAs, MRIs and even biopsies so that if it decides to look like it wants to spread it can be caught and treated. Certainly, a biopsy reading with 4+3=7 rather than 3+4=7 would likely have me heading for some type of treatment. Good luck with your journey. Lots of us are dealing with this issue as it is common with older men. The good news is that detecting it, monitoring it and even treating it has improved greatly over the last few years and will likely continue to improve. There are so many other cancers that are far worse to have than this one.
Your story sounds very similar to mine. Ten years ago my PSA was 4. I had a biopsy with 2 cores coming back as cancer 3+3 and 3+4. I then had genetic testing which suggested only a 3% chance of dying within 10 years. My doc suggested active surveillance which I’ve been doing ever since. My PSA fluctuates between 5-10. Last year I had an MRI, prostate biopsy (no cancer found) and PSMA-PET showing no metastasis. However, each biopsy showed chronic and acute inflammation in the prostate. And my prostate is enlarged to the point I have to take alfuzosin. I read a meta study that indicated 50% of men in their 50s has some form of prostate “cancer; 60% of men in their 60s; 70% in their 70s. I also read a study that indicated that taking vitamin D can help prevent prostate cancer and possibly stave off progression of disease. I’ve been taking approximately 5,000 IU per day since being diagnosed 10 years ago. I cannot prove it’s had any effect on my disease but I can say that it’s improved my depression that I’ve suffered for most of my life. I continue to take vitamin D for this reason.
@@yourstruly1665 thanks for telling your story. I agree with everything you said. Mine is 30%. If it was 5% and i was 69 years old…. I may have made a different choice. Since I’m 52 and have family history… I’m very comfortable with my decision. And I’ve heard that almost all men will die with it (not from it). It’s really my age, 30%, and family history that influenced my decision. I had 4 different opinions too. You are right that it’s very common and each case is different. I hope yours does not spread and glad you are monitoring. It may stay that way for 20+ years. Best of luck.
Hi from 🇬🇧. I was diagnosed back in January with a Gleason 3+4 T2 localised in prostate. Had 28 biopsy cores taken & only 4 showed cancer & only 10% was Gleason 4. I was offered all options, but I’m on Active Surveillance after doing a lot of research into it. Found lots of information online in my research & one useful site was actually in the US from prostate cancer research institute & Dr Scholz. Great informative videos on TH-cam from them. Good luck on your journey 👍🏼
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018. Caught it early so decided on radiation treatment. Since then my PSA hasn’t been above 0.05. Five years clean. Wishing you a quick recovery! The Lord be with you!
My husband was diagnosed with prostrate cancer late 2018, he also choose radiation ( 5 weeks daily radiation, targeted with a marker placed where it was to go) after that treatment he had two treatments of high dose radiation into his prostrate two weeks apart. We had to go to a different hospital for that and in surgery they placed a hole bunch of metal tubes into his prostrate and shot radiation through them. Literally frying his prostrate is what the doctor told him. This year it’s been 5 years, 🙏🙏 it stays away. His PSA numbers are .0 something 🤞🙏❤️also
@ no side effects, he said he was a bit tired, but went to his radiation treatments then went right back to work, we owned an auto repair shop, he worked in the office. He didn’t want his prostrate taken out because he knew there was a chance of being incontinent and he didn’t want to take any chance ( I told him it was his decision whatever he wanted to do. ❤️) I love that man with all my heart! High school sweethearts married 46 years this past May)
I have been through the same. I just finished 3 weeks ago the Cyberknife treatment, target radiation. No downtime and no side effects. Something to consider. I had gleason 7, 3+4, with a psa of 4. 60 years old. All the best.
I was dignosed at 56. Pretty much same Gleason as you. I did A LOT of research and had 4 consulations. All doctors told me I did NOT need to rush into a decision for treatment. Most people that I talked to that had their prostatee removed were sorry they did because of side effects. I opted for radiation, Ultimately had 45 treatments. It's been 2 years my PSA continues to go down and I had very little side effects. Thank God. I would be glad to talk to anyone with questions please feel free to reach out to me. Bill
Great to hear the doctors feel the cancer is contained. Removing the prostate is the right course of action. You’ll be fine and fishing soon. Prayers for a speedy recovery. And good for you putting out this video. Merry Christmas.
I pray you will make a full recovery. Like you, I am not a doctor, but I must tell you about a friend I worked with for years. He was in his 60s, elevated PSA, etc. and doctor recommended removal of prostate. His wife was really into holistic medicine and through diet and cannabis, he is alive today with his prostate and is 81.
Many urologist still push men toward radical prostatectomy and downplay external beam for treatment. They may not even mention all of the logical options. They do this even when the prostate cancer is very low risk! However, those external beam machines have greatly improved over the last decade and are a good path if treatment is needed. They can also work the margins around the prostate where the surgeons knife can't cut due to damage it might cause. Before making any decision, men need to do plenty of research and don't rush into any decision just on the advise of a single urologist. In my case, I also reached out to a top notch radiation oncologist and further testing led me to Active Surveillance for now. I'm going to be sure to do close monitoring of it. Older men, in particular, need to realize that prostate cancer typically grows very slowly so you'll likely die before the cancer has a chance to spread. You monitor it closely and take action if it gets to that point of being needed. Still, some old school urologists push men into surgery when it might not be the best path forward these days with modern medicine.
I had testicular cancer at 33 and now I'm 62. I went thru surgeries, chemo and four months in the hospital. All along I kept the goal of deer hunting as my goal. I got out of the hospital in August and in a tree stand in September.
Thank you for sharing your story. I received the same diagnosis and similar scores 5 years ago at age 49. Due to my age, my urologist strongly recommended I have the prostatectomy because of the same concerns you mentioned about future complications with radiation treatments. My PSA has been less than 0 for 5 years now. I’m enjoying life with my family and trying to live each day like it’s a gift. I pray for you, your family, and your doctors. You’ll be out there catching bass before you know it. 🙏🏻
Brent, we are walking the same path at the same time. My annual physical was in Late July 2024 and I had an elevated PSA. August I went to a urologist and he tested the PSA again and it was higher. September I had the MRI and they detected an abnormality in the prostate. Late November I had the MRI Guided Biopsy and determined that it was cancer with a Gleason score of 7 = 4+3... I will be making my decision on surgery vs radiation next week. I truly appreciate your sharing your story because I don't know anyone else that has been through this process. I don't even have a family history of any cancer let alone prostate cancer. I wish you the best during your surgery and a speedy recovery.
Went through similar process in 2019/20. Opted for radiation in 2021, I was 50 years old. No regrets thus far. Monitored PSA quarterly and saw urologist every 6 months, and just this past October we decided I no longer need to schedule regular visits anymore unless something prompts it. I wish you the best sir!
My neighbor had it made a full recovery. My fishing buddy has it & is about 75 he’s doing pretty well. Be positive 🎣You will be on my prayer list. God bless.
Thank you for your openness.. my wife also just got diagnosed with early breast cancer.. thank goodness for an early diagnosis and health insurance! Prayers to you and your family and see you soon on the water!
Had similar scores and had my prostrate removed 2 yrs ago at 60. Fish a club tournament format and we fish once a month - had mine removed and never missed a tournament! You will be fine and you are making the right decision for sure. Avoid lifting for a while. May God bless you and your family.
I had 39 proton treatments in Oklahoma City at Oklahoma Proton early this year. Great facility with great results. My psa went down from 11 to 3. Get it checked every 3 months and will continue to keep close watch on my psa. 69 yrs old. Check with them if you haven’t already. Dr. Chang is the guy. Good luck Brent.
This video is fantastic-very generous of you to share this with the community. I have the same course you describe; now 1 week out from prostatectomy. No significant pain. Walking daily, etc. You will do great.
In my prayers, have 2 good friends who've been living a great life for 24 years now, stay positive. Ive recently had some cancerous margins cleared and am recovering as gracefully as possible. Stay positive and make those appointments. A great treatment team also helps. Shout out to Stanford.
I’m 67, never been a patient in a hospital but my PSA was 3.2 (3 is when alarm bells start ringing here in Australia) and my doctor began putting the wheels in motion with various tests and a consultation with a recommended Urologist who evaluated all the data before doing a biopsy and confirmed that my Gleason score was 7 (3+4) and sent me to a Radiologist who agreed with my Urologist in thinking that removal was the best option. The cancer was contained in the prostate and was located at the front of the prostate which meant there was less chance of any nerve damage during the operation. I had the operation two weeks ago and was very nervous prior to the procedure. I woke to see five incisions in my abdomen and a catheter in my penis. I was given slow release pain killers whilst in hospital for two days before being released and returned in a week to have the catheter removed. I now wear pull up padded underwear at night and a pad during the day. My leakage isn’t bad though coughing, laughing or sudden exertion (including going to the toilet to do a #2) results in me passing some urine but the frequency is becoming less and less. Since being allowed home, I have been wearing compression socks and have had to self-inject blood thinning medication every day. Both are due to finish in a couple of days. I have not been doing any heavy lifting or sport. I have walked for 30 minutes every day and will continue this activity regime until I see my Urologist mid January next year. I’m very grateful for the professionalism of my medical team and the support and of my family and friends.
@@bradad2026 glad you are doing well. Glad it’s contained! Thx for sharing. I’m 5 days out from surgery and feel pretty good. I’ll keep you all posted with smother video soon.
This is a lovely heart felt video and really informative too about Gleason scores etc. I’m in my mid 50’s so always get the prostate checked every physical, but it’s out there as a very sneaky cancer for men & it can kill you horribly if it metastasises to your lymph nodes, I watched my father in law die with prostate cancer in 2017 and it’s an insidious disease. Bobby, you are obviously his angel, so god bless you both. Get well & best wishes from Durham in the UK. Alex
Prayers your way. I’ve been going through the same. PSA 20 a year ago I’m 60. They pushed me toward the surgery ( Mine was pretty advanced)and after lots of research I had to go with radiation, 24 proton beam radiation treatments followed by brachytherapy and hormone therapy. PSA has been 0 for past 8 months. It’s been rough but I think I made the right decision. Your going to be fine👍
Glad you are doing well. I know it can be tough and treatment can be different for a number of reasons. Looks like you made the right choice. Thx for sharing.
Hi Brent, I’m watching your video in the UK and wishing you all the best re your operation. You seem very positive which is both admirable and helpful for your recovery. My PSA has been rising over the last 6 months and I’m due another test on the 6th Jan. I’m hoping the test results are ok but my brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer when he was 57 and I’m 57 in January so am apprehensive. I also have CLL (which I was diagnosed with back in Oct 23) so that makes me even more jittery about possible issues but seeing your positivity is very uplifting so if you are having your op tomorrow (you mentioned the 19th Dec) I wish you all the best my friend and I hope you make a speedy recovery and have the best Christmas possible. All the best Ian.
Thanks for the comment. I have found this video’s comment section a huge blessing and comfort. If you are feeling apprehensive- try scanning some of the comments. There are stories of every kind…. But I feel even more sure I’ve made the right decision. I sure appreciate you all!
I was diagnosed at 49. I had the surgery even though I was early stages It’s been 8 yrs Do what they tell you and everything will be fine. I was a lineman and I was back to work in 5 weeks Best of luck and my prayers are with you
So glad I’ve found your video Brent , I’m from Newcastle England and going through the same scenario as yourself, I’m 67 still working and fit as a lop, I go to the doctors every 2 years for the usual MOT , this time I asked my doctor to do a PSA test after a mate of mine passed with prostate cancer , that was in in June this year the results came back 6.4 so a MRI followed then biopsy, my Gleason score was 3+4 7 I’ve also decided to have my prostate removed it’ll be this New Year’s Eve, best of luck with your opp Brent I’ll certainly keep watching your videos, have a good Christmas
I had locally advanced recurrent Prostate Cancer that reared its ugly head in late 2015. I had 3 opinions and comfortably chose 1 leading Urologist. Once I chose my Doc I trusted his recommendations. Having faith in your Doc is key. Surgery and then 18 months later it recurred so 27 rounds of radiation and hormone therapy was required. My advice find a Dr. You have faith in and whose recommendations make you comfortable. Best wishes on your journey and consider yourself fortunate that you have the support of your partner!!!
You got this brother. Just had my Prostate removed December 4th. Hoping for good results. When I first found out I also couldnt believe it. Also no symptoms and same gleason score as you 3+4. I am 56 and plan on living for a while. The radiation was a no go for me. Didnt want the chances of some other cancer popping up later in life. They say its a small chance but any chance is a shitty chance. Good luck
I just found out that I have prostrate cancer my PSA was going up just past 4 this year had the MRI and Biopsy will be getting the prosectomy in January felt that was the best course of treatment in my case as well. Good Luck in your surgery.
Sorry to hear that, but it's good that you and the wife are on top of it. I had the Di Vinci procedure done when I was 51. I’m about to turn 68 and I’m still cancer free. I wish you the best and hope you have a great fishing season next year.
@@michaelswonderfulworld Yes, incontinence is still an issue even after all these years. It's more controllable now, but it's still something to deal with. The surgery itself was pain free. The worst part is the catheter that had to stay inserted for 48 hours. Even though your bladder is mostly empty, you feel constant pressure. it's extremely uncomfortable to say the least.
Thank you for the video. I’m just turning 58 and I’m probably facing this myself (biopsy right after New Years). Luckily a lot of my friends have gone through it so I have a lot of folks to ask questions. Good for you for sharing!
Keeping you and the family in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this journey. God Bless the surgeons and praying for a FULL recovery. BIG Hugs!
Lucky to get to fish with you in the 2007 Clark’s hill elite. I had exactly the same diagnosis and same Gleason as you. Had a robotic prostatectomy July 25 and my 3 month psa was undetectable. Do your PT and you’ll be fishing in 3-4 weeks. Good luck and God bless
I am 61 and in the same boat. PSA 6.0 and Gleason of 3+3 and one 3+4. Will get my prostatectomy in a month. You made the right decisions and thank God for that smart wife you have in your life. I have one too!
exact same scenario with me in June 2023. Had the robotic prostatectomy and was hitting golf balls 3 weeks later. Easiest surgery you will ever have. Zero pain for me. Worst part is having catheter for 8 days. Minor leaks first couple of weeks. And everything still functions as normal! Don't sweat it...piece of cake bro. best of luck
Great to hear. I’m having the robotic assist surgery too. My doc feels very positive about my prognosis. I appreciate you sharing your story here. It’s encouraging.
Thanks for taking the time to share this , I wish you and your family the very best , happy holidays and look forward to seeing you back on the water for the season !
Thanks for sharing your journey. I’m scheduled for an MRI later this month as a result of an elevated PSA at my recent physical. My dad passed away from prostate cancer, so I’m taking it seriously. Best of luck to you!
Like you said this is more important, My dad was diagnosed 1 year ago this Xmas, he in early 70,s , lucky they caught it quick and day before Thanksgiving this yr he is now cancer free, I will be following you Brett on bpt and will be here when you beat it. You got this brother
I just went through the lung check Had my arteries checked in all the blood work even prostate, checked with the camera because your ear out so many people have cancer now hang in there be strong. God bless you and your whole family.
Prayers for you man. Glad your wife is on top of it to help you make important decisions. God is in control and will get you through this! God bless and good luck fishing this year pulling for you!!
Brent I Hope the best for you !! Hope everything works out so much for you ! I'm 61 only did the crap in the box deal ! But not the real test ! Anyway I'll 🙏🙏🙏🙏 be praying for ya !! God bless !!
All the best brother. I lost my dad to cancer that started with prostate cancer that wasn't caught early enough that then turned into bone cancer. I've been slacked on getting into have my regular 6 month checks. But you've inspired me to make the appointment. All the best to you brother. From one Brent to another. God speed 🙏
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am now waiting for my gleason score results. Please continue to keep us informed about your post-surgery recovery.
Had it done two years ago come January. No problem with recovery, would highly suggest going to physical therapy before surgery to build those muscles. I had no problems with leaking after about two weeks after surgery. And as a side note everything still works😀. Praying for you🙏🙏
So brave for you to share this and being so transparent. It will help people and may save someone's life. You will be fine. No doubt- It sucks. However, It is a very treatable. TIP - Start your kegal exercises, because it will help your recovery process.
Dang Brent. Im one of those that goes in every 10 years. Now at 54 i have been thinking more and more about going and getting a look over as i haven’t seen a doctor in 12 years. We appreciate you coming forth with this, especially for those out there like myself who feels great and thinks things are perfect until our body tells us otherwise.
I felt fine too. But glad I got my check up. I know there are lots of opinions … but I just recommend getting a physical and bloodwork. Thx for the comment. I appreciate it.
Just had mine removed two days before Thanksgiving this year. After going through CT, MRI and PET scans, they determined that it was still contained within the prostate. It’s a big relieve knowing that it’s out of me. First PSA will be in February 2025. First two weeks after surgery makes you wonder if itwas the right thing to do but it suddenly got better and 4 weeks post surgery I’m feeling great. Great message on the physicals, many men could be saved if they would just take the time to get checked. I’m 69 and healthy, I hope for many more years for all of us.
I'm 68 with prostate cancer. Psa only 4.5 my Gleason score is 3+3. So, we've been watching it. No treatment, just active servaillance. Had 2 biopsies and 3 mri's. Its remained unchanged. I've read that a Gleason score of 3+3 has only a 2% chance of developing into something more serious.🙏🤞
Prayers heading y’all way Brent... agree with you on the yearly check up and blood work. Time well spent for sure… take care and be good to see back on the deck of the Triton in January…
Hello Brent I was diagnosed with prostate cancer aged 58 December 2022 Gleason score 3 + 4. My wife Julie convinced me to have a prostatectomy as I initially wanted the radiotherapy because of the side effects.I am glad that she did because I think the fact it has been removed has helped me to move on with less worry about the cancer still in my body.My last three PSA tests have been undetectable. Wishing you all the best Regards Craig
Thanks for sharing your story, I went through your exact scenario in 2020 with a robotic prostectomy. My psa was good for 3 yrs and it slowly began to return. Just completed salvage radiation to knock it out. The Drs and nurses have been so amazing and I know you are in good hands. Definitely not something you want to be dealing with right now, but you have the right attitude and you have caught this early. Best wishes on your recovery and you can get back to what you love doing.
I’m in the same boat . 2 years cancer free and it has started creeping back again. How did you do with the radiation? How many treatments did you have to take?
@ I went through 37 treatments over 7.5 weeks and it was a grind but certainly has paid off. I just got my PSA results yesterday and Cancer is back to undetectable. Having some minor issues from the treatment but understood the alternative. Thanks to all the Drs and nurses who learned how to help us through this journey. I am feeling extremely grateful right now and ready to try and get back to feeling like doing stuff again and quit worrying all the time.
Best wishes Brent, we fished the same tournaments years ago in your ( and my) younger years. I spoke with you at bucksaw a couple times but long story short, it seems that cancer just doesn't care who we are or how old. You're a great guy, and im sure you're going to be the winner in this one. My cousin just went through the same thing a year ago and he is doing well. It keeps me on my toes for sure! Have a great Christmas and i hope to see you out on the lake again soon!
Im glad you were able to get it caught reasonably soon. Many don't have that luxury and we have lost many good men as a result. Thanks for using your platform to remind us to stay on top of our health screenings
My friend passed recently from cancer. My wife and I take cancer test ever since he told us the news. It’s $900 per test, but worth every penny to get in front of this terrible disease. Good luck sir! Prayers!
5 years ago I watched a friend dying at home of prostate cancer. He was in his last 2 days of life. Shocking to see him shaking and out of it. Must check prostate every year
At your age, I think you made a good decision to have your prostate removed. I’m 73 and had my surgery eight weeks ago. Fortunately, my recent PSA was .05, essentially no cancer remaining in my body. That is comforting news but the side effects of the surgery are not easy to deal with. Two words - incontinence and impotence are byproducts. They say it will gradually get better, but in my case, it’s a slow recovery. Saying a prayer that you have a better experience.
I’m 65 and just had mine removed a month ago. Operation was easy and recovery time was very quick. I feel pretty well back to normal already. You made the right choice. 👍
Thx so much. Glad you are doing well.
I was the same way. Get it out of my body ASAP. Still here 17 years later. Take care
Psa 359
Gleson 4 più 5
If the 4 in the gleason score is less than 5% active surveillance is certainly a better option than having the prostate removed. PSA kenetics are not that big of a deal unless you have had your prostate removed or treated with beam radiation.
Had mine removed 7 months ago
Same Gleason score as you.
I’m doing really well.
So go for it mate.
You’re going to fine.
All the best.
One in seven men in Australia will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, one in four in America. More research is needed.
@@bradad2026 exactly. You are right.
His PSA numbers are .0 something 🤞🙏❤️also
He was 60 years old
@@smileytow1925what are the side effects ? Was he the same after he fully recovered ?
You got this Brent!!!!! God has you and we are praying for you and your family!
MAY GOD BLESS YOU BRENT AND YOUR FAMILY WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU TO GET WELL ❤️🩹🙏🙏
I was dignosed at 56.
Thank you
Yup, no more erections and having to wear diapers. Sounds wonderful.

What was the symptoms of testatrol cancer?
Thank you for sharing your story. I received the same diagnosis and similar scores 5 years ago at age 49. Due to my age, my urologist strongly recommended I have the prostatectomy because of the same concerns you mentioned about future complications with radiation treatments. My PSA has been less than 0 for 5 years now. I’m enjoying life with my family and trying to live each day like it’s a gift. I pray for you, your family, and your doctors. You’ll be out there catching bass before you know it. 🙏🏻
Less than zero isn't possible. Did you mean less than one?
It’s actually an ultra sensitive PSA lad order. My numbers usually stay around 0.006
I’m 69 and my last PSA was slightly over 4. Family doctor referred me on to Urologist who suggested and MRI which is scheduled for next Thursday. 🤞🙏
@@hookyoutdoors7329 thank you
Your KastKing family is keeping you in our prayers. Wishing you a safe surgery and a speedy recovery🙏
@@KastKing thank you. I’m grateful for the entire Kastking team!
Talk to your urologic surgeon and balance that against oncologist chat. Survival rates at 5 yr similar. I had surgical approach 2022. So far so good.
Thanks for sharing your story and best of luck with your surgery & recovery
My neighbor had it made a full recovery. My fishing buddy has it & is about 75 he’s doing pretty well.
Be positive 🎣You will be on my prayer list. God bless.
Sending you loads and loads of prayers and good wishes from Thailand 🇹🇭. Stay strong brother.
Get your procedure done ASAP.
You are Healed by your FAITH.
Sending you & your family the Best of Wishes & Prayers.🙏
Hang In There Brent.💪💪
I had 39 proton treatments in Oklahoma City at Oklahoma Proton early this year. Great facility with great results. My psa went down from 11 to 3. Get it checked every 3 months and will continue to keep close watch on my psa. 69 yrs old. Check with them if you haven’t already. Dr. Chang is the guy. Good luck Brent.
This video is fantastic-very generous of you to share this with the community. I have the same course you describe; now 1 week out from prostatectomy. No significant pain. Walking daily, etc. You will do great.
May the Peace of the Lord be with you and your medical staff during your procedure, treatment and full recovery, Godspeed 🎣

God is so Good.
@@barryhill363 Wow. Very similar story. It seems pretty common. Glad you found yours early and I pray you have a quick and full recovery.

Is incontinence an issue with the robotic surgery? If so, does it resolve over time?
@@michaelswonderfulworld Yes, incontinence is still an issue even after all these years. It's more controllable now, but it's still something to deal with. The surgery itself was pain free. The worst part is the catheter that had to stay inserted for 48 hours. Even though your bladder is mostly empty, you feel constant pressure. it's extremely uncomfortable to say the least.

Is any numbers for undetectable PSA, THANKS
Hello 0.006 is the lowest figure my hospital can test to which they class as undetectable.
Prayers for you and thanks for doing this video. Many guys go thru this and its so helpful to hear from others.
