Awesome vid. Thanks to the Russ-man and yourself for all the helpful tips and especially the look at the labels of the paints used. Even seeing how far back he holds the gun was helpful. Thank you!!!
Wow Bobby, will admit, does look pretty, pretty, pretty......pretty great! Lol I'm sure Zeta themselves would be surprised by the work your buddy did on it. So, kudos to him for taking the time to do that for ya! Looks awesome, bro!
Zeta made a cartoon version color of Armageddon and called it Bruticon. Also, they fixed some joints issues that the Armageddon suffers on their Bruticon release.
The paint job looks fantastic! I have the unique toys version, and prefer the non space shuttle chest too. I may have to do something like this for mine, at least for the chest. Bravo!
Absolutely amazing video! I've always wanted to learn how to airbrush, and this video just pushed me over the line to finally take the plunge. Some phenomenal talent on display here. I can't believe what a difference some paint made to Bruticus. I'm literally blown away. Thanks for sharing what went into this project Bobby, and as always thank you for all you do for the collector community. Never forget how greatly appreciated it is!
I really like the way you set up your shelves. They really look like you put some time and thought into the displays. Too many collectors crowd way too much into a single shelf, and it ends up looking like piles of plastic. Your spacing and presentation really make your collection look its best.
Frickin Awesome!!👍 Did you all prep the surface before the primer? (Wash/dry all surfaces to get oils from fingers removed first)? Amd how durable is this type of paint? Scratch easy?
Awesome! One of the best things about Zeta's set too is that because they use "partsforming" pieces, when you paint them, Onslaught's color scheme is not affected. You really couldn't do this with any of the other Bruticus' out there right now since they use Onslaught for the the thighs and most of the torso.
Geez! Feet shots, crotch shots, legs shots, what am I seeing!? The joy of painting on steroids eh?! Haha! Adam really knocked it out of the park! His skill and understanding of depth and application of paint is nothing short of mind-blowing. How much would he charge to do mine? Haha! Anyways, great stuff, Armageddon and Constructor look so great together. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and for sharing it with us!
Man that came out great! Wow, it really changes the look of the combined mode, definitely adds a level of sophistication the MP line deserves. Seeing this is seriously making me consider grabbing the whole set to do a similar look. I went with UT’s effort and while combined I’ve been pretty happy up till right now lol Props to Adam for the work! And hanging onto the floor, gravity is just a theory after all ;)
Did you end up painting Blast Off too? It's hard to tell, but the video just makes it look as if it's painted to match - that or the paint is REALLY close!
PLEASE do more videos like this, it's so helpful seeing such professional-looking paintjobs actually being applied. Can I ask how you handled the eyes? I've been trying to paint eyes on deluxe-scale transformers and only 1 in 10 times does it ever come out cleanly applied, usually because they're too small to properly mask off.
Looks amazing, man! I was thinking about panel lining the limbs and Onslaught, and maybe just top coating mine with a matte finish. But the color scheme and design on yours looks great, Bobby!
In a large skillet over high heat, heat canola oil. Add garlic, broccoli, and bell pepper. Cook until soft, 5 minutes. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, 8 minutes. Stir in cashews and season with pepper.
That's a lovely custom. I still use citadel Mithril Silver for details I need to brush coat! (I do the same eye technique, these days) I'd be tempted to disassemble further. Grey primer is a good choice - my research suggests it is neutral in comparison to white and black. That being said, I've started experimenting with gloss black primer for some colours and I'm definitely going back to white primer for yellow. I only use Vallejo for convenience. If I want a really tough, almost indistinguishable from plastic look, I go for formula 3P from privateer press (although I've had some bad experiences with their metallics...) You've made some great colour choices - congrats on a project well done.
Did your buddy have to thin out the Minitaire Ecchymose paint that you can recall, or was he able to use it straight out of the bottle without thinning?
Beautiful job! How durable is the paint for things like transforming, joint movements, and overall handling? Did you also use some kind of sealer? I've never had anything like this done, but seen it many times. This by far is the best I've seen, really. But I have no personal experience, which is why I ask those questions. Looks good on the shelf. And do the limbs stay together well? Any changes or improvements with their attachment since the review?
Now he has to win a GD to uphold your honor. For anyone that doesn't want to Google the artist uses a mix of a few paint lines. Vallejo Model Air, Badger Minitaire, and Games Workshops Citadel. The latter two are particularly formulated for use with an airbrush. All good paints.
Yo Bobby! Get up a reaction video to the new, well two new Bumblebee trailers that dropped! It’s oozing with G1 designs and maybe be the movie to save the franchise! All I can say is seeing Ravage eject from Soundwave is a thing of beauty man!
Soooooo much awesome!! Looks a million times better in my opinion. Wish I was as crafty to do something like that, I’d end up ruining it altogether I reckon
I've been very interested in painting transformers but I have had a horrid time with paint rubbing off at the points of articulation and anywhere the plastic has to grip. Minitaire paints are pretty sweet in an airbrush. I have a few colors and really dig the ghost tints. Its an american brand from badger airbrush company oddly enough.
watch zeta do a color accurate release now
MtgVeteran at that point it would be money saved for me :)
I'm up if they're down. The colors bug me on this one.
They are actually doing it, good thing I waited, because I will get that one and for under $400.
Customizing pieces adds a great sense of personal ownership/attachment. Takes it from something standard to something special.
Oh wow, that looks nice. It's always feels good when you touch up a figure to give it some pop.
Awesome vid. Thanks to the Russ-man and yourself for all the helpful tips and especially the look at the labels of the paints used. Even seeing how far back he holds the gun was helpful. Thank you!!!
Gorgeous, now that is what Bruticus should look like, my favorite combiner!
Incredible , can’t wait for stunticons.
*3:54** FEEEEEEEEEET.!.!!!!*
Pretty pretty pretty prettyyy good. He definitely pops on the shelf. Adam is skilled. That new intro too.
this is what I'd love to see as a retail release. cartoon love
So now I'm going to have to paint mine when he gets here... Damn. That paint application makes a huge difference!
That's really gorgeous. Thank u for giving the names of paint you used. I'm seriously thinking about taking mine out and airbrushing him too
Looks great.....seen another custom done and now I am thinking of getting Zeta as well
Oh wow bobby thank you so much for this! I have an interest in painting and dont know what primer, paint, sealer/clear coat, air brush to use.
Oh, that looks great! So much more badass now!
I really like this subject. I sometimes repaint some details myself, nothing fancy but it's interesting.
We’re on the same boat. I too love the G1 real life colours look. Awesome. Miss that in Takara Tomy’s releases.
Looks incredible. Great job guys.
This is AMAZING work!
I love seeing behind the scenes kind of stuff like this...
Very nice work! Love this custom work!
It looks great man. I'm definitely inspired to mine in a similar fashion. Thanks for the paint colors.
Love it! Concentration feeeeeeeet on full blast!
Awesome stuff, looks great. Half tempted to pick up an air brush and practice, came out extremely clean.
Great job, Bobby & Friends.
The paint job looks fantastic! I have the unique toys version, and prefer the non space shuttle chest too. I may have to do something like this for mine, at least for the chest. Bravo!
Looks incredible! Good work guys
Wow, that's an awesome paint job!!
Fantastic work! Bruticus is looking brutal!
Holy Grail's Bro..
That is a gorgeous paint job n custom.
Awesome collection to Bro 👍
It looks great,I'm not a good painter so I hope Adam take commissions lol, enjoy your work week bro.
Damn! That came out nice! Great job guys!

Wow, that really good. Well done Adam!
Thanks man because I was going to paint my cw bruticus silver but liking at your I ting I will do someting simeler tanks👍
Damn, Adam killed it... looks great!
Yep, it looked good by default. Now it looks perfect! Congrats!
That looks insanely good!!!
I hope the box set comes out this good. If they come out with one. And all the fixes.
Filthy sick! Bruticus is my favorite combiner. This paint upgrade is amazing ......I want to do something similar now Damn it! Thanks for sharing.
truly incredible work
He did a great job, makes me want one!
looks amazing! not sure why zeta didn't do something like this in the first place.
I really like the way you set up your shelves. They really look like you put some time and thought into the displays. Too many collectors crowd way too much into a single shelf, and it ends up looking like piles of plastic. Your spacing and presentation really make your collection look its best.
“This is me trying to figure out my camera, yknow five years in” bruh what a mood
This paint job is great!!!
Frickin Awesome!!👍
Did you all prep the surface before the primer? (Wash/dry all surfaces to get oils from fingers removed first)? Amd how durable is this type of paint? Scratch easy?
DAAAAMMMMMMM BRO! 😲
That figure turned out nice! 👍👍 🐸
i hope they do a set with similar color scheme. hopefully i haven't made a mistake by waiting.........
Awesome! One of the best things about Zeta's set too is that because they use "partsforming" pieces, when you paint them, Onslaught's color scheme is not affected. You really couldn't do this with any of the other Bruticus' out there right now since they use Onslaught for the the thighs and most of the torso.
Looks nice, your friend did a really good job.
Gotta paint those feet yellow and green maaaaacccc. Seriously though my brain can't wrap around how you guys can paint so well.
Geez! Feet shots, crotch shots, legs shots, what am I seeing!? The joy of painting on steroids eh?! Haha! Adam really knocked it out of the park! His skill and understanding of depth and application of paint is nothing short of mind-blowing. How much would he charge to do mine? Haha! Looks like the cartoon if the cartoon was real. I like that. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Looks 1000x better!
What airbrush kit do you recommend?
Man that came out great! Wow, it really changes the look of the combined mode, definitely adds a level of sophistication the MP line deserves. AWESOMENESS!... I love it and I wanna do that to mine when I get it
Did you end up painting Blast Off too? It's hard to tell, but the video just makes it look as if it's painted to match - that or the paint is REALLY close!
Now that you did this over a month or so ago I was wondering how the durability of the paint is.??
Damn mister Skullface. You should make a video showing your collection! Amazing
very nice.. would like to see more of these
Did your buddy add a flat topcoat to protect the paint? It looks great!
WOW! Does he ever do commission work?
I've had an idea rolling around in my head for awhile now, but I suck at painting.
Looking good Skully!
Looks amazing, man! I was thinking about panel lining the limbs and Onslaught, and maybe just top coating mine with a matte finish. But the color scheme and design on yours looks great, Bobby!
Damn... that's gorgeous! Adam really needs to do his own Patreon for tutorial videos. I'd live to start doing this but have absolutely no experience.
How long did this process/project take Bobby S. in order to get your Zeta toys Bruticus customized to your liking?
Etchymose! (Donald Duck!) Etchymose! (Donald Duck!)
Looks great. I love the color. I could do with out the shuttle part if it was that color.
Woah that hit the spot!
Zeta if you’re watching, release it in a similar color and you got one more customer here

I betcha Adam could paint a mean toenail.
Breaking quarantine rules to do your custom. #hardcore Good effort that. Like it. Wonder if Zeta will do a weathered version?
It does look great though. It pays to be creative with anything you are indeed passionate about.
Not bad Bobby, Not bad at all 🤗
Looks great
End result looks awesome!
So now that you've dipped your toes into the custom paint world, any chance you're gonna move into weathering next? :)
I love G1 but the original Zeta Blue torso and legs really works for me
Awesome paint job i wanted to paint mines my self but I'm like Don knox the shakiest gun in the east..
Did your buddy have to thin out the Minitaire Ecchymose paint that you can recall, or was he able to use it straight out of the bottle without thinning?

Super nice man!!
Awesome! Would've liked to see it a little better side by side maybe but looks great man!
Awesome! Great job by Adam
so basically what soundwave is now in bee trailer
Looks amazing man.
I’m late to the Brute party but I painted his eyes and wow what a difference.
Yo Bobby! Get up a reaction video to the new, well two new Bumblebee trailers that dropped! It’s oozing with G1 designs and maybe be the movie to save the franchise! All I can say is seeing Ravage eject from Soundwave is a thing of beauty man!
Hey Bobby, know you don’t reply to all the comments but I was curious, was the trypticon the G1 or the new one? The size didn’t look too bad
oneeyexl the titans return one
Which is pretty surprising cause that means Bobby bought a hasbro figure
oneeyexl yep.
Platinum.
Looks way better!!!
wow.. totally dig it.
Soooooo much awesome!! Looks a million times better in my opinion. Wish I was as crafty to do something like that, I’d end up ruining it altogether I reckon
Loos superb man, totally jealous
Even better......
