My onslaught will spend about 5 mins in bot mode, zero mins in alt mode, and an eternity in combined mode... Thanks for the review and you enthusiasm is contagious.....
I like the size of these combaticons. But what I'm really anticipating from zeta is there aerial bots. We got the 1st two, hopefully they get to finishing them some day.
I've been wondering if Onslaught and Silverbolt were not as far along when Zeta left TW, which gave Zeta the freedom to make them more G1 before finalizing them. Maybe TW's intent included the chests that flip over on Swindle and Onslaught but we will never know. Just like the TW Coneheads that Zeta designed, those spring loaded missiles are the type that got those things removed from toy store shelves. It took me a while to figure out why it was different than I "remembered" it being. Finally figured out it is because the one I'm thinking of is the MMC one from Paik4Life's preview after TFCon (just finally had time to watch it last weekend). Obviously the transformation would be different than a completley different figure.
It's a real shame this one doesn't work scale-wise with the UT limb bots as aesthetically they do. Currently still happy with my UT Bruticus but if they do a nice giftset (and they should) I could see that changing. Sun did a really nice group shot with the UT's in bot mode and Zeta Brut towering over them in the rear. It looked awesome. Great and fair review as always :)
Yeah that ramp mode was a G1 thing, but even back then, I never used it. The aerialbots also had a weird ramp. I cant remember if defensor did, But I don't think so. I now it was really late and you had to go to work. Maybe you can pop a picture of them all in bot mode or vehicle mode together , in a future video, maybe a sit down saturday?
All the scramble city leaders had silly third modes so original design the could connect to metroplex. Desnor was a pile of nothing if I remember. I think some things are best forgetten
Hey Skully. You are my #1 reviewer. Keep up the great work. Now you forgot a major part of this figure. BASE MODE. There is 4 other reviews that were done in Japan already that shows this off. So I would recommend that you do a bit more research when doing your reviews. Thanks.
Excellent review. I feel Onslaught was delayed then rushed which can happen. At the end of the day I don't give a rats ass just ass long as dude does his part. I probably will never ever ever ever ever have out of combined mode anyways. Truth be told I would be 100% fine with Action Master Gestalts if it meant for 100% accuracy and stabilization. To each their own but stoked this set is coming to a close. Bring on the rest of Superion & please Zeta Toys hit-up Menasor, Predaking, Abominus Yes!
This Lemon Pound Cake will really be a popular cake throughout your spring and summer entertaining, I think. You can easily make this pound cake ahead of time and then serve to friends and family as dessert.
I think you hit the nail on the head about why I simply can't get down with these zeta combaticons. Just look at how Sunbow G1 accurate this guy is and then compare it with the others....it's night and day, really. But honestly from the moment their Swindle was revealed and he was a hummer instead of a jeep I was off the zeta train, instantly, not only that but their Vortex looks awful in robot mode, not to mention he's highly inaccurate. With all those inadequacies.....and given his price, he was always going to be a definite pass. I don't care about how impressive his combined mode is, he's just way too Sunbow inaccurate, particularly considering what TT is doing with the line these days!?
It was easier to make this guy accurate because he barely even appears in the combiner. Zeta made a bet that the combiner would be the selling point since 90% of us will have it that way forever, and the gamble is paying off. Because of that, the limb bots had to nail limb mode above all else.
Could care less about robot and sunbow accuracy.... He's gonna be a combined forever on my shelf and October should bring a 3rd party sunbow accurate chest piece. Fine by me!
Combiners are parts forming by their very nature. And have had add on parts since G1. Unsure who has a problem with that, that you mention it a lot, or why they have said problem.
I think your critical faculties have been dually numbed. First by how terrible all the previous zeta bots were and second by your excitement about getting to combined mode.
It does seem a little like his excitement for the size and look of the combined mode produces a bit of an acceptance for the flaws. For example. no paint on this figure and the fact that cramming an entire bot in an upper torso makes the combined unstable. But it's all about what's worth it to each person.

Neeeeds a big Decep symbol on that chest. But this looks better than the others. I hope it will come in a box set.
You remind me of an anxious kid so excited that he can’t wait to combine his toy. LoL 😆
Great review bro love it 🐸
Great Review Bobby! Can't wait to combine this guy!
I don't understand how you have 15,000 subscribers but your review surface is still two blankets :D
Looking forward to getting my own, that Bruticus is so awesome.
I wish you could put the shuttle part on the chest. Great review again bro

While not perfect, I do feel this is a solid effort. Fantastic review as always!
i hope they do a g2 version, that'd be my jam
Looking forwards to meeting you next Saturday at Baltimore comic con. I love your video

Another good review Bobby!

how do you have him already thats awesome because he is still in preorder
Maybe that ramp mode will be connected to a Zeta Metroplex??????
I want Bobby, Jobby and Vangelus to collaborate so that they can fetishize robots together. Also I miss Vangelus' reviews :C
Awesome review like always bro. 👍🏽 Like the facts you state even though you like the figure you still give us the real deal.👍🏽
Did you ever think that for the ramp you may need to connect it at the end of the gap so that the hing would be able to move down
Can't wait for mine to arrive!
Good review as always man

Looks massive, biggest combiner yet?
Flight stand feet is a great idea
Will and matt are top notch.
Good never ending story reference lol
I wonder if the size of bot made it easier for Zeta to have him cleaner in bot mode.
When will we ever get a Planet X Bruticus/Combaticons?

This is the best figure in the set
So, it is a powermaster/Ginrai Onslaught/Bruticus combo? Somehow that's pretty cool :)
What happens to the hand gun when in vehicle mode. Can it fit somewhere?
That seems to be the least complicated transformation of the whole set.
I have the combiner wars Bruticus. I wonder if you would like to trade your Zeta Bruticus with mine. :D
That chest is way, way too barren, like the Arctic tundra. 6:13 that's infinitely better.
Eminem would be quite jealous of those HEAVY ARMS
How do you get his head to pop up? I can’t figure how to get head back out.
Robot chest file is missing or what
No shot of all the bots in robot mode for comparison? Shame.
Everything is going as I have foreseen it
Leadbealcher* but I still say the old names too

The neverending story was the movie he quoted
6:02 LOL
I’m a fan of parts-forming as well, but Wow, he doesn’t contribute ANYTHING to the combiner mode (not even the head), he’s just a block of mass. :/
With that giant combiner part Onslaught is practically superfluous in combined mode. Not my cuppo tea.
Is anyone else getting an SSL error on the gci site?
I think you meant the *feet*

Yep, the hand reference

Second!
Maybe you can tighten the legs by tightening the screws that are in them.
Thanks for the review. The robot has a head and a trunk separately and therefore looks like a piece of shit(((((((((
So. Many. Sprue marks.
I think your critical faculties have been dually numbed. First by how terrible all the previous zeta bots were and second by your excitement about getting to combined mode.
previous Zeta bots? aside from this set and the Superion set, are there any other bots made by Zeta?
It does seem a little like his excitement for the size and look of the combined mode produces a bit of an acceptance for the flaws. For example. no paint on this figure and the fact that cramming an entire bot in an upper torso makes the combined unstable.
But it's all about what's worth it to each person.
Trying to justify your UT purchase lol
Geez, you must be so insecure.
*GET THIS AUTOBOT TRASH OFF ME*
First! Two days in a row!
*slow clap*
Dan's GoPro Adventures *curtsy*
How do you get his head out from truck mode?
