This guy is a clear and present danger to society. He has multiple children with multiple women, has anger management issues, and treated a wonderful woman in an unkind way. This is one of the most civilized episodes that I have ever watched. I honestly believe that he regrets what he has done and wants her back but at the same time he wants to be free and do the things he never did when he was younger. Very rarely does such a large age gap work when one of the party is a teen. They simply have to grow up and may likely outgrow the person. Who you are at 18 is not who you are at 28 and even 38. These relationships have a timeline and expiration date. It is what it is.

He's using the "high school sweethearts" excuse, so unless she intentionally broke up with him so that he could run off, have lots of parties and casual sex, and then marry him, he was going to cheat if he married at 22, 26, or 30. The "high school sweetheart" excuse is that only being in one monogamous relationship throughout your 20s somehow robs you of "fun" so you almost deserve to have random sex because if you settle down with someone you fell in love with as a teenager, you can't POSSIBLY be truly happy.

Cheaters are self centred and self serving. It’s not about anyone but them so your happiness means nothing to them. To choose being actually single and free to sleep around with girls who are actually (and knowingly) like them is less thrilling and less stable. They get lonely and jealous and want the stability of a faithful, affectionate and loving partner while living wild and ‘free’ at the same time. And it’s very unlikely that they will eventually ‘grow up’. If he wanted to be single again, he should have just broken it off but he didn’t want to be. He used his age against her as an excuse to cheat, the same age he defended to make her stay and marry him in the first place. Mate is an all around a**hole who simply wanted to have his cake and eat it too and he will most likely never change.

This guy is a clear and present danger to society. He has multiple children with multiple women, has anger management issues, and treated a wonderful woman in an unkind way. I can understand that they both made a mistake in marrying when they did with the age gap, which almost never works out when its that large, but quite fankly, he needs to get some help in realising that you can't live the single's life all your life unless you want to end alone or with a dog, instead of a partner who will share your life.
For Nora, I hope that she chooses more wisely next time she intends to marry someone. She is also at fault for marrying a boy when she was expecting a man, evven though he lied to her about his age. Now that she has moved on, I hope she has learned a valuable lesson for herself.
Finally, although I greatly respect Judge Lynn, I disagree with her statement that he needed to sow his wild oats before settling down. Call me old fashioned, repressive, conservative or whatever, but I never played around he way Jesus wanted to and presumably is doing right now. I saved myself for my wife, as did she, and 20 years later, we are still together, and our lives have never been better. Sexual promiscuity is such a huge issue in modern society, whereas in my parents generation, you never slept around and expected to get someone who will ignore that. The marriage rate in 50s --> mid 70s America was mid 70s%. That has dropped steadily till now it's less that 50%, and virtually half of those end in divorce before the 5th year, at best. As Ben Shapiro said, reincalcation of traditional values, inclduing sex only within marriage is what is needed to reverse declining societal trends in the world, especially the so-called "civilised" world.
