For the parents who assume their kids are learning just because they are at a daycare think again! The parents are paying $250 a week for their kids to play all day long! The issue for me is that our community in general don't think it's necessary to teach their children at home. They rather wait for the school system to do it for them... parents are supposed to be a child's first line of education.

My daughter started reading at 3 yrs....and this was discovered by her Nursery teacher....who told me she needed to go to reception rather than Nursery....At age 15 I was contacted by her school... they said she have been performing at the same level from Primary to High School...she got a Distinction from OXFORD UNIVERSITY and was placed in the Brilliant Group at age 15.....She is now studying to be a Doctor and Made the Dean's List... they told me that only a small Percentile elevates to that level...as black people we need to invest more time into our children developing them from a young age....he is correct if his son could learn from the TV then he can learn ABC from age 3
