A boss rush of classic mode in Bloodstained. Basically, this entire mode is reimagining of first Castlevania game to the point that couple of areas are near exact copy. That doesn't mean that it is bad, though. I had a lot of fun playing this mode and my only minor complaint is that the bosses are a little too easy. Still, the game itself is quite difficult (I played on Hard setting) and I'd say that overall it is harder that original CV1. Basic CV boss rush rules for this video: no damage, no subweapons used. They're not so bad. You get to jump on/off them, and they let you avoid knockback if you need to take a hit or just want to damage boost. Throw in the backflip and you can do a lot of fancy stuff with stairs, too. Classic Mode in Bloodstained is basically just CastleVania 1 with Rondo of Blood remake controls. Best stair game out of all the classic-vania types.
The game still getting content even if there is a bloodstained 2 in the way shows how much IGA really wants to see this series replace Castlevania for the good... I still can't believe Konami didn't manage to make even a modern remake of their first game or any new stuff.. bloodstained classic mode is literally CV1 in 3d lmfao
@@unknownuser494 I think it's kinda a reimagination but lore wise CV 1 is still the canon one, I don't remember very well.. wish they did a CV 3 remake with the anime characters using the gameplay from this mode of bloodstained 😿
Seeing the Zangetsu Doppelganger in action like that has me wondering why he wasn't an unlockable character for this mode. Seems like he would have worked about as well as having Ultimate mode in the Curse games.
Miriam has the same walking animation she has in Curse Of The Moon which looks pretty tomboyish and funny as well as her fighting stance position here as if she were trying to engage a boxing fight with someone.
This reminds me of Castlevania 1. Similarities: Giant Bat Dullahammer (Comes out of the background like Medusa) Dopplegangers (Fight two of them like Mummies) Wolfman and Simian (Frankenstein’s Monster and Fleaman) Gremory (Death/Grim Reaper) Gebel (Dracula Phase 1) and Dominique (Curse of Man, or Dracula Phase 2)
Too bad the levels aren't longer. Even still, I pushed through Castlevania as youngin' and that was a near traumatic blood boiling experience as it was that I don't wish to relive. So many games on nes like that: adventure island, ghosts and goblins, section z, blaster master and on and on. Good thing those controllers were so tough...
I guess... it's made by the main director OF Castlevania, who hired as much of the fired Castlevania team as he could, got the main Castlevania composer, and so on after Konami demonstrated they only had interest in making pachinko machines. Kind of less a clone than the successor of the franchise
Michael you are so ignorant, Ritual of the Night is more than CV clone, it is spiritual successor of SotN made by Igarashi, and well, not only fun game but also has some crazy stuff.
