A SIMPLER alternative to YouTrip for Travel

  • If you're not already using a multi currency card for travel, Trust Bank could be your go to for the best exchange rates better than using a bank debit or credit card for your overseas travel expenditures. Simpler and more straightforward as compared to YouTrip.
    After using this in the past few months of travelling it has helped me to save on the dynamic currency conversion fees and the foreign currency spread when you charge to a credit card. AND with it being a credit card, you get to charge your expenditures on this card and only pay it when the statement is due. Whats even better? The statement due date is determined by YOU!

    hi,
    If lets say if i spend 1million JPY in japan (subjected to the limits of my trustbank credit card limit) overseas in japan. will there be a charge of anything ? like overseas charge fee. or is it just a regular jpy-> sgd conversion (then my side i will just repay it via SGD like any credit card).
    advantage is that the conversion is great and theres no extra charges, m i correct? (unless the vendor charges me extra during point of payment, but that is another story)

    Hi, about the trust T&Cs - there's just one line that confuses me: The foreign currency withdrawal amount will be converted from US dollars into Singapore dollars at the foreign exchange rate provided by Visa with no fee from Trust (and if it's not in US dollars, it'll first be converted to US dollars). (2) We'll process the Singapore dollar amount on your credit card.
    Does this mean if I'm withdrawing KRW, they change SGD - USD - KRW first? Or is it negligible?
    Thank you!

    • @DemiZhuang
      @DemiZhuang  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Negligible :) what you see at the end is still just the sgd - krw

    • @andreichan333
      @andreichan333 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DemiZhuang actually there is a difference when KRW is converted to USD before converting to SGD. You have to pay slightly more money in SGD. That's how forex works, and why USA wants the world to keep using USD. So that they can earn that extra from conversion.
