Hi Demi, could you consider doing an update for miles accumulation. Since theres been changes to hsbc revolution card and the new dbs yuu card. Thanks.
Thanks Demi for all the info. If we use mulitple banks cards, do you know how redemption works for redeeming for airline tickets ? Is it like we buy krishflyer miles using all the cards and eventually use total krishflyer miles redeemed using multiple cards to redeem the ticket ? Lastly, if there are enough points, can one person redeem miles for the entire family ? Thanks in advance.
Hi Demi, thanks for this sharing! I'm curious, you're holding different miles cards from different banks, when you have to convert them to miles, wouldn't the conversion fee be a concern?
Most 4mpd card comes with an annual fee. Have you experienced any banks penalising on the miles accumulated when an annual fee waiver request is approved?
Not in my experience so far! I’ve been reading around it seems likely that annual fees can be waived. And if you do pay, they’ll give miles for payment
That's good to know. I've yet to come across a 4mpd card that gives bonus miles upon annual fee payment. So there is no use case for a cardholder to pay annual fees for these cards. If ever banks do penalise on the miles accumulated when an annual fee is waived. I am sure this would shake the miles accumulation strategy in the community 😅
Can I check does HSBC Revolution and Citi Reward (Pair with Amaze) they serve the same purpose? Is there any differences for this 2 cards? Just that you can toggle once it max out the $1k per month?
Hsbc has a whitelisted MCC of what u can earn 4mpd on. Citi rewards is based on a blacklist, you get to earn 4mpd pairing w instarem amaze more easily for in person txn as the card rewards 4mpd for online.
@@DemiZhuang Thanks Demi, you think should I apply HSBC REV card and hold this 2 card at the same times? Can I check because Im iphone. Instarem does not support apple pay. Therefore I only can use physical card to make payment. But does that count as contactless payment. As Im confused with all the different type of payment.
I think no point holding the hsbc revo anymore if you don’t have it. You can consider uob preferred platinum visa! Citi rewards with amaze will change your in person txn to online thats all that matters!
Will HSBC Revolution card still earn miles for Fairprice groceries online? Btw, what’s the best card to earn most possible miles for buying SIA tickets?
Yea from 01 May 2024 onwards, no. Can look at Citi Rewards paired w Instarem Amaze or UOB Preferred Platinum mobile contactless. I think depends on the amount of SIA tickets. 4mpd on dbs womans world cap at $1.5K. Then UOB KF for 3mpd.
If im starting my miles journey, $500-$600 spending monthly. Mainly on food, which miles card should I apply? does hsbc rev cover food? n for overseas spending (dining, shopping etc) which miles card would be good?
uob preferred platinum visa for mobile contactless payment. HSBC covers dining at restaurants, bakeries etc but not fast food. selected only. Overseas - Citi Rewards + Instarem Amaze can see this video I used it overseas - th-cam.com/video/MiLfgBmBGd8/w-d-xo.html
If my mum knows how much trouble I had to go through to collect miles just to buy her a business class ticket because I can’t afford buying cash, she will refuse to accept the ticket. In fact she will scold me for being so dumb.
Hope there will be a version for cashback too please.. :) the tables are so useful

Hi Demi, thanks for this sharing! I'm curious, you're holding different miles cards from different banks, when you have to convert them to miles, wouldn't the conversion fee be a concern?
HSBC, Citibank and UOB are the main ones I hold for now. Hmm I didn't think about this as a concern though.
