I live in southern California and i used to be able to get tamales for $1-2 each from these little old gmas selling them homemade in the back alleyways on tamale carts, but ever since covid i think they stopped cuz i havent heard "tamale" being yelled anymore. I miss it. So thxs for posting this, i think i will try my hand at making them myself.
