Dustin Johnson is one of the greatest golfers of his generation. One of the most dominant golfers in the world but he has faced personal and professional challenges that have led to him struggling in recent times. Even his wins were shrouded in controversy.
Dustin Johnson is a former world number 1 when on the PGA tour. He is currently one of the star players on the LIV golf circuit. He is married to Paulina Gretzky the daughter of Canadian hockey star Wayne Gretzky.

Don’t rip on him for what he hasn’t done, take a look at what he has done which is 99.9% better than any other pro. Pretty sure almost anybody would be happy with his career
Players with no Majors would be happy with his career but do you reckon Dustin is happy with 2 Majors? 🧐
I think he would be pretty happy, he’s had a great career
Obviously a few near misses on some majors but overall really good career with:
24 pga victories
Second most WGC events
2 majors
At least one LIV event a season since he’s been there
And as you said a player without a major would be happy with his career but he has two after overcoming his mental weaknesses which makes it even sweeter

At 3:22 you mentioned "A rookie error"- I remember this event whenever it aired...It was really a rookie error because (if I recall correctly), this was a local rule at Whistling Straits. This was a shock for MANY watchers at the time. Many golfers were calling the rule on themselves. It's just that Dustin Johnson's enforcement was really televised and the most unfortunate.
Dustin and his wife should start their own TH-cam channel, and get even bigger!
What fall? He was over golf and took the money. He didn't want to play a full schedule any more. He achieved what he needed to in the game & now he wants to spend value time with his family and having fun. Smart move!
Why not say that instead of getting quoted that he wants to try harder!
You should do a documentary on the rise and fall of the PGA. Justin hasn't fallen. He awoken!
He's not banned, his Tour membership is suspended for violating the memberships rules. As an individual contractor signed up he broke the contract agreement, and is suspended to either serve out the suspensions requirements, cancell that Tours membership, or not sign up to a new membership of it.

More time with family isn’t a negative. - I appreciate your comment, HOWEVER, the absolutely grueling schedule of the PGA leaves MOST highly competitive pros with little time except golf-travel-golf-more travel and more travel 18 EVENTS for LIV may NOT be the only benefit, however, it is an extremely POSITIVE one to live a life with more normalized relationships.
No one really believes in the ‘more time with my family’.

As much, or more money, with less time on the PGA roadshow IS ATTRACTIVE advantage that certainly sways one decision.

All the money in the world makes not a happy man. He doesn't get world golf rankings, he doesn't get to play against the best on the PGA. What did he get for selling his soul; He plays 3 rounds of guaranteed contract money with no cut in shorts with LOUD dance club music. Where's the challenge that pushes people to become better than they were yesterday? No where! His legacy is gone, faded away like dust. Which is the fate of all the LIV players. They just don't know it yet.
