In my area, the lease deal on the VF8 is crazy good. $1,000 down and $249 a month for 36 months, excluding taxes/fees. Compare that to the current Model Y lease of $3k down and $449 a month for 36 months, excluding taxes/fees. At the end of the lease, you’ll have shelled out over twice as much for the Tesla - $19,146 vs $9,964. Given the ever changing state of EV technology, getting a great lease may be the best way to go, assuming the mileage cap won’t be an issue.
Just depends on if you're looking for basic transportation. There are plenty of cheap leases for things like the Leaf too.
Make sure you don't mind to bring this EV car to dealer and stay there for number of days to update software and other issues, not travelling a long distance then this is your EV car. Good luck
@@vutran3183 LOL A “period of days” for a software update? That’s funny. Also, I’ve had to leave my Tesla overnight for repairs. A full warranty would guarantee a loaner car. I’ve had many many Tesla loaner cars for repairs and maintenance. Also, range isn’t that far off from the competition. My area has a robust charging infrastructure, making road trips easy. I doubt I would get one. Just pointing out that the current lease price makes it a good buy compared to the Model Y.
@@aussie2uGA All comes down to each person’s use case. A Leaf charges too slow for me, and it still uses the old Chademo connector, making any sort of public charging a challenge. But for some families it would be a great second car if they can charge at home.

- Camera 360 and bird-eye vision are simulation from 4-5 cameras and not directly live. So when you change camera mode and gear R, it 's a little laggy. Bigger camera pixel is more laggy. On tesla, car in 3D is a picture, and camera tabs are lived

I can't think of a consumer EV that lets you fully disable the traction control. An electric motor is basically an on/off switch if no current control is in place. No matter what you need to have some amount of traction control in place. Otherwise you get a result like this where you have 100% of the torque immediately and you end up with an uncontrolled situation. As much as I love a good burn out, I would say this is a dangerous design. It's totally uncontrollable. Vinfast really should patch that.
While some of the criticisms could be justified, it looks to me the negativity about Vinfast's first ever introduction to the US market carried some elements of racism and resentment mixed with the negative history of VN-US relations. But hey, that's America, the Trump's America. In general, the US automobile market is perhaps the toughest market to break into.

So many Vinfast bots/shills in these comments saying “the 2024 fixes all the issues”.
Astroturfing doesn’t work when it’s so obvious.
That said, it does look like Vinfast has put in the work over the last year to overcome the initial issues, and now it feels like the VF8 is a competent EV, comparable to a Toyota bz4x or similar. An acceptable commuter/city car with _occasional_ road-trip chops.
Honestly, it seems like their biggest problem is their anemic dealer/service network, and the price has to come down significantly. But the product itself is acceptable now. And unlike Fisker, Vingroup has some staying power.
Exactly, it happens in every single Vinfast review.
I think we should give them more time, anyway look at Tesla's early years when they first made the car, their problems were more than this car. Now, Tesla cars are selling very well. Give them another 3 - 5 years and they may no longer exist or they will truly develop into a reputable brand with good quality. In the near future, I heard that in the last quarter of this year they will sell their VF9 car in the US. According to information, I know that this car has much better quality because the company has invested heavily in it. The problem I think is the least attractive of the car is the price. Importing from Vietnam and not receiving subsidies from the US government causes the price of the car to increase quite a lot, making it stand at the price of a segment. different cars, but nonetheless their lease is much more attractive than Tesla's.

I LIKE IT!!!!!
Tesla should be embarrassed that this brand new car from a brand new brand has a much better build quality than them.
The only thing that matters in corporate America is stock price. Happy customers and top quality is secondary. I prefer Japanese cars and trucks over US ones. Toyota is going astray, but I’m sure they’ll figure it out.
Tesla maybe not the best choice yet but still far better than this new brand. Period
I doubt Tesla's really worried about Vinfast. The VF8's charging speed is slower, it's less efficient on a bigger battery than its competitors, and the software improved, but it still needs further revisions.
Besides, I dont think the hundreds of thousands of people ordering new Teslas care if a panel is only off by a millimeter.

Good car
This one is a 2023 built car. You should give the latest 2024 version a try. They have fixed all the issues
And accidents of loss of control and broken front wheel axles happen frequently, the driver's life is bought and sold with money, it's the internet age, don't try to cover up the bad things 😂. And American cars imported into Vietnam are taxed at 300%, don't complain when you cheat with others. The US government should consider economic balance to tax VinF cars 😎
As soon as you said excellent build quality, I stopped the video. You can see the rubber door trims are wobbly in the video, come on...
When I think noodles, I think of Banh Pho, or rice noodles.
Vinfast Losequicker
18:22 the most competitive market😂😂, you American really just live in your own little world 😅😅😅
I would still buy from Vinfast before I bought anything from Stellantis
We don't need another meh car. Not at that price. If this was around $30K, sure.
All these midsize crossovers look the same. So boring.
When you see the lease buy out price at the end it's actually $31k only. After lease payment it's $23k
@@MrDandeyLeasing is the way to go. Who knows how much valve it will hold, but they are offering some very competitive leasing deals.
you can buy the VF7 for $30,000 to $35,000. But unfortunately it cannot come to the US and Canada yet. The Vietnamese side is running all over the streets
@@MrDandey Most consumers aren't going do dig this deep - How much does it cost? $50K. No Thanks. End of story.
