I never knew it has 3 choices for reverb..other reviews didn't show that.
I am glad I cold show something different. I hope it helps. Have a great day!👍
First tutorial that actually shows how to change modes on the ir-2. The unplug-dial in-pedal down-flashing light is not clear in the manual but now makes sense after you showed it. Thanks much
I am glad I was able to help, have a great day!
I did not expect it to have any of it's own fx. That thing truly is a game changer! 🤘😎
It definitely is!
cool tutorial Padded Pedal
Thanks Melani! You Rock! ;)
Awesome video, Francis !! ♫
Many thanks!!
Such a cool unit
It definitely is brother! ;)
Thank you for the very nice breakdown of this feature! I wish they had added a switch for reverb types and spring reverb would also be a nice addition.
I agree a switch would have been nice. It can be done in the IR loader software but on the fly is not really possible.
A cool unit mate, and great info❤
Thanks brother! 👍
Switched mine to plate and love it even more 🤟🏽
Right on! ;)
reverb is a must for me.
lots of features on a little pedal.
Yes there are lots of features in this little pedal, it is amazing me, and the reverbs in it sounds real nice too. Rock on! :)
I only use the Boss GT1 as my only weapon of choice for 2/3 years now and I intend to bring it with me to a store to test whether this new little monster can be used in conjunction with my GT1 to perfect my final cab output, I know how to run the GT1 to absolute output cab/speaker out perfection as is now, I like a couple of the driven tones I've heard on a couple of demo's so far, it sounds like another winner!
Bring a stereo cable with you so you can try your GT1 in the stereo effects loop of the IR-2. 👍
@@ThePaddedPedalroom Yeah, both are stereo so it would be absolutely glorious when used for such...it's one of the best things made for guitar to be available in the last 10 years in my honest humble opinion, it takes pedals perfectly too, brilliant unit!
It's great to be able to reset the verbs like that for sure, typical Boss cleverness! it would very likely also enable the selection of others too via the software app is my guess.
Yes you can set the reverbs in the editor of the IR-2 loader software as well. It I actually a little easier that way.
Thanks for this video....can you do a video showing how to save 2 Channels
It's auto save. In green mode you dial in your tone and switch to the red mode, then dial in a different tone. When you switch back to green mode it will have remembered what you dialed in, in that mode. 😊
May Pleasure! Yes I could do a video if you need it. DD Franks explained it well. Do you still want need a video for this? if so it would be my pleasure.
Thanks! ;)
Very cool. Thanks again for informing us. The plugging & unplugging might drive me a bit goofy though. Can you change the parameter of the current reverb in use without the plug moves?
Thanks GV! I don't think there is any other way to change the reverb, but In general you set it once to your favourite and leave it for eternity. Rock on! ;)
@@ThePaddedPedalroom Good point.
Awesome!!! Thanks for doing this. Can you record straight from IR2 directly to logic pro as an interface ? I’m looking for a portable recording tool where I can record guitar just by bringing a laptop, a headphone and an interface where I can pack all in my backpack. Thanks!
My Pleasure. Yes you can use the IR-2 as an interface, just connect the usb to it and it should work. if your daw does not see it you can always go to the boss website and download the drivers if needed. I hope this helps.
Can you intensify the reverb by using the ambience knob?
Yes, the more it is turned up the more reverb.
@@ThePaddedPedalroom : I watched your video again and wonder if you used the lowest or the highest setting with the ambience knob. I expected "more" decay from the plate-setting.
@@DizzyKrissi In the video I think it was set somewhere in between, but if you have the ambience all the way it is not too heavy, it is nice but not for shoegaze, you would need to add more reverb for that.
Nice demo, can you use it as a reverb pedal only? Whitout other fx?
Thanks. Unfortunately there are only three options 1. Amp on/Cab on 2 amp on / Cab off and 3 amp off / cab on. you can not turn both the cab and amp off and just use the reverb. I hope this helps. Happy New Year! Lots of Health and Happiness in 24!
When you unplugged it did you still have a 9v wired power connection? If so then assuming you can’t just turn it off by unplugging the power connection (assuming the included battery had been removed).
I kept it plugged in but that does not change anything, like you say, if I was powering it with a battery, I would not necessarily take the battery out every time. when you plug or unplug the input jack it is like the on and off switch of the pedal. that is why if you do use batteries, always unplug the input or you will go through batteries quite quickly. The Manual says to un-plug the input jack to turn it off so I would just follow that as plugging and unplugging the 9 volt adaptor while it may be a rare occurrence can short your pedal. it is always best practice to have the adapter plugged into the pedal before you plug into the wall. I hope this helps.
Do you know if you are able to have two different IRs loaded on different channels for the same amp? For instance, channel A Clean with stock IR and channel B Clean with custom IR.
No you cant do that, each amp has one slot for one IR and your channels cant be saved that way, I tried and it did not work.
@@ThePaddedPedalroom thank you for the clarification
@@danpejril8337 My Pleasure!
Correct me if I’m wrong, ambience knob is turned all the down?
To change the settings the knobs need to be in that position, an easier way though is to just download the IR loader tool and change it there when connected to usb. when the reverb changes were made the actual ambience pot was turned down but I do not believe the actual setting was down as you would not hear the reverb. I could do a video testing out the three reverbs going through from the knob turned down to all the way up if you like. let me know.
@@ThePaddedPedalroom Makes sense!
Non stereo ?
It is Stereo out and has a stereo fx loop.
Ambience is too subtle, can’t really hear it🤨
I understand, It is better to double up with another reverb behind it, it thickens up the ambience.
Each setting change the ambience was left down. Would be more pronounced if turned up.
@@troyspond8637 Yes if you turn it up it would be more pronounced. my favourite is the Plate.
