    Hi, out of interest did you ever check if it damages grass? And did it leave any mark on the patio?

    • @penknifemonkey
      @penknifemonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still use it a lot in the summer months. It's still going well. It does get warm yes under. But it's such a good bbq I find work arounds. A bbq for life.

    I would love to hear how this bbq has held up over time? Have you used it much?

    • @penknifemonkey
      @penknifemonkey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello, yeah used it lots. Had it a fair few years. The paint still looks new even on the inside. Cleaned with oven cleaner. No idea what that paint is made of. But it's hard as nails! It is stored inside a shed or car over night.

      ive had one for 3yrs now and they are bulllet proof, it hasnt rusted,nor the enamel chip either( but that part of the reason why you pay extra )....not tried it myself but ive even seen someone put this in a dish washer after a cook....if you are looking to but a small bbq , i dont believe there's better

      @@penknifemonkey It is not paint. It is enamel. That's why these barbecues are a bit pricey. Worth every penny though!

    Did the ash pan come with it?

    • @penknifemonkey
      @penknifemonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I still have the BBQ. Gets used a lot. It comes up clean to when scrubbed. You can use a metal sponge on it. Don't even scratch the paint. Worth every penny.

    Where did you get the bottom protection plate? Is that stainless steel as well?

    • @bernardmanners9657
      @bernardmanners9657 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not sure what part of the world you live, but with the uk version, the plate come as part of the bbq ......i think it serves two purposes, to deflect the heat from the bottom of the bbq, that,s why the guy was able to put his hand under it , and secondly as a ash catcher , so when your done you just lift it out........not sure what metal its made off , but ive had mine for 3yrs , and no signs of rust at all

      Bernard Manners Can you gives us the dimensions of the pan? Trying to buy one off hand. Here in the US it didn’t come with it, nor the charcoal measuring bin.

    • @JoeAnshien
      @JoeAnshien 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess the US version does not have that reflector / ash pan in the bottom as I don't have one and have never seen one before. I may try and make one.

      I always line the bottom of mine with aluminium (tin foil) makes clean up a bit easier. Replacing about every 2nd of 3rd time I grill or when ever the ash builds up around an inch or so (2.54cm). I do like that bottom plate treatment though and the handle heat shield but yeah I don't understand the lack of the two side handles.
