In this video, we show how to upgrade your hard drive to SSD in Windows 10 without losing any of your files or data. This approach also ensures you do not lose your Windows license after the process. The new storage drive, in this case, could be an SSD or HDD.
This can be used when upgrading from HDD to SSD, replace a failing disk, mirror your PC to another PC, or upgrade to a larger storage disk without losing anything.
If you observe any changes in the procedures due to change in minitool version, please read the article for updated instructions: www.easytechst...

Hi I always watch your tutorial cause it always help me out.
But after following these steps in the video, I encountered problem.
I cloned the HDD to SSD using the tool on your video, but then after I cloned it and removed my HDD, it doesn't reboot. And my ASUS laptop now has a black screen. I tried to use the original HDD but it's also have black screen. It was working before cloning. Can you please advise what to do here? I hope you notice my comment. Thank you in advance.

One of the best explanation. I am a finance professional and was outsourcing this process and someone quoted almost 250-350 as the total cost. I looked at this video and ordered a SSD, SATA calble and a tool box all for 70 bucks and was able to do it myself. Thanks

This is no longer free. It's 2022 and the "free" MiniTool Partition Wizard Free 12.6 download will only let you get just so far before it forces you to pick a paid plan. When you get to the part where you need to choose the drive you want to transfer to and then click the finish button, you aren't allowed to go further. I'm SO disappointed! "Free" just means it's free to download; it's not free to use/complete your task. I love this video, as it's the best I've found, so I'm forced to bite the bullet and pay. Ugh

Tip to everyone who wants to do this: in the latest version of the Mini Partition Tool (Version 12.0) you can't clone without paying for the Pro Version. • @VarenRoth
      @VarenRoth 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

If the drive is acting up, I'd avoid using this method and instead do a fresh install, copy what you need manually instead on a new drive. You want to use it the least you can, as drive failures can quickly ramp up to an unusable disk if put under load.

Do a diagnostic test first to determine if there are bad sectors. Orrr, you can defrag it. It will make the process faster while also finding out if there's a bad sector.

My Gaming PC is running out of space in BOTH C & D Drives.
My C drive only has 236Gb, and my D drive is 901Gb *(My C drive is on Disk 0, & my D drive is on Disk 1)*
Both are cramped full of stuff & I only had this PC for like a year.
This method is far more reliable than buying a whole new laptop, AND I get to save money.

Ok, I followed your tutorial and this worked exactly as shown in your video. Thank you very much. The Dell laptop I use in my recording booth is now way faster and MUCH quieter, which is the main reason I did the upgrade.

A couple of questions if I may. I came via searching to answer.. Is it possible to replace a C drive without also having to reauthorize all the various programs and app's licenses and authorizations and such? This is and audio recording PC with dozens of plugin apps, which would equate to many hours to complete. Without actually addressing it, it seemed towards the end you indicated this was the case.
Thanks so much for your excellent video!

Thanks for such an esy to follow tutorial. Question. Will this work equally well with an NVME SSD? As long as you have a way of externally coneecting it to your pc. Thanks again.

I have no place for a second drive. I`m afraid that I would make the swap and then wouldn`t be able to start up my laptop because it would not be recognizing the SSD. If that happens, what are my options?

Thanks for the tutorial! Question: If I choose the second option and only move my OS to the ssd, will my games be affected? Specifically the gameplay performance.
Edit: I decided to just go ahead and buy a 1tb SSD and use it as main while the old one which is a 1tb HDD will be extra storage for my laptop.
Thanks a lot though despite being a few years old, it is still helpful till today!

Excellent video. I have one question. Other videos I have watched indicate REMOVING the laptop battery, I didnt seen that in your video. IS IT SUFFICIENT to smply unplug the external power and turn off the laptop leaving the battery in place when changing the HDD drive to the SSD drive after the reinstallation of Windows?

    • @EasyTechs

Is sufficient as long as your laptop is fully shut down and you dont need to remove the battery to have access to the hard disk bay
