I lived at Bondi Beach for nearly 10 years. The sea pool/bath, and its building, are major Sydney tourist attractions. There are many Sea Baths all around Australia. It stems back to the 19th century, as Australians have always had an affinity with the ocean beaches due to the warm climate and Australians love of the outdoors. What's more incredible is the famous “Boardwalk and Cliff” walking path shown in the background @0:01, @0:03, @0:06 and@0:31`. If you look to the left of the baths building, you can just see it. It goes to the right and passes Bondi Beach on its way to beaches and cliffs to the north. @0:31 it goes left as shown to other famous Iconic beaches to the south like Tamarama Beach, Googee Beach, Maroubra Beach, Little Bay Beach and many others.
Tamarama Beach is referred to as Glamouramma Beach to Sydneysiders due to the fact many people just go there to show off their latest mega expensive swim wear, designer accessories and some major “'Bling-Bling”. They NEVER get this swimwear wet EVER! They don't even get their toes wet! They're to be seen and admired by many vacuous like-minded people, wannabes, and Instagrammers/bloggers. Most Sydneysiders find it quite ridiculous and silly behaviour, but every one has a right to their opinions and actions.
Just google 'Sydney's famous beach boardwalk path'. If you're ever in Sydney, do it as well as the Opera House, The Sydney Harbour Bridge walk, the Blue Mountains to the west and taking a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. Use Mr Google for those attractions too! You won't regret it.

@1:29 Now that did make me laugh! I think someone was pulling your leg! It's a VERY busy Sea Bath with a wait-list of years to join. Most days it's packed full of people, as is the famous broad walk. Shark attacks in Australia are rare these days due to tagging of sharks, controversial ''drum-line-baiting”, Drone deployments by Volunteer Surf-life Savers on constant duty looking for shark's and sea nets. You're more likely to die from simply falling out of bed.

The swimmable bridge should have a glass bottom. Missed opportunity.
