You also experience this when in a large abandoned bldg or a very dead mall. I believe if you do a search for "liminal space" on YT you'll be likely to find some cool videos showing and explaining why they make people have a certain unsettled feeling when experiencing such a space.

But I found myself unsettled watching this video, like the earth had disappeared from beneath me. I was riveted and enthralled the whole time. I loved it. GREAT idea for a TH-cam post. Scariest swim I've ever feared is going out in the gulf at night. No lights from shore or boats for miles. It's cloudy so no moon or star lights. Not able to see the water but feel it around you. And the cherry on top is knowing there are things in that water bigger than you. It's a creepy ride on a boat when coming in from an offshore rig.
The basement pool to me looks amazing. I would like to just go there and swim back and forth and be alone and not afraid any more. Because me? I'm terrified of reality, humanity, the outdoors, deep water, too much space - basically the opposite of everything this pool offers. To me, it looks like a dream come true pool. It's actually my favorite by far, and if I ever get to build my own home (ha!), I would love a pool like this.
15:11 the Kilimanjaro slide looks like an actual nightmare I had when I was younger, the slide looked exactly like that and when I went down it I couldn't feel the slide or water at all, it felt like I was suspended over everything and it was a nightmare because in my mind I was thinking "this is too tall, I'm going to die, why did I go down this?" and it felt very real and scared the hell out of me
Although it was not mentioned, people have died recently from similar slides. Gravity always wins, and when control is limited, unsecured or simply not present it will go wrong in a terrible way.
TBH, that and the Devil's Pool were the only ones on this list that actually scared me. And I would *love* to try the Serpent's Pool with the psychedelic lights!
I’ve got a bit of a story. It starts 20 years ago when I was in Las Vegas back in 2000 during an Arizona/Las Vegas trip. I was 13 at the time. (I am 33 now) My family and I went to Wet N Wild Las Vegas (I think it’s now called Cowabunga Canyon). They had a capsule slide there similar to the capsule in the Dizzying Aqua Loop in this video. Well, when I was dropped through the trap door in the capsule, it caught me off-guard and I ended up getting airborne. Nothing ended up becoming of it while I descended, but you should’ve seen the lifeguard’s face when I reached the bottom. He was absolutely terrified.
My got dive certified in NEMO 33. I watched from the glass windows. There is a bar right outside with windows where you can drink a fine glass of Belgian beer while you ponder how nuts these Belgians are. This pool (having seen it with my own eyes) is truly terrifying. It's a no frills, straight, square drop going down 300 feet!! You run out of air or get low (even an expert) you're dead. Period. The thought alone had me gald to be fully dressed and outside having a beer.
I grew up swimming in that first one, "The pool of death". You actually show two pools in this video, they are close to each other. One isn't actually a pool, more of a cove. But it's true that plenty of tourists die there. They ignore the signs and go down when there are large swells. They normally smash their heads on the rocks when big waves hit them.
We used to call it Turtle Rock then it became a big tourist attraction and they started calling it Queens Bath spent a lot of time down there as a kid swimming and fishing.
The "Pool of Death" (we know it by a different name) as you call it, and Queen's Bath are in the same area, but not the same thing. Most visitors end up in the "Pool of Death" thinking they are at Queen's Bath. The Locals who grew up here, make it seem easy, but remember . . . they grew up here and know the currents. No visitor needs to jump into this area. If the swells are high, especially in Winter, this area is very dangerous . . . same with Queen's Bath. Visitors have been swept off these rocks and pulled from Queen's Bath, and carried out, some never to be found; this has also occurred on calm days, when rogue waves hit at times. Many of us try to educate the visitors in these areas, but oftentimes, we're ignored. When a visitor gets themselves in trouble, which happens more than most realize, it is the Locals, the Surfers, and the Lifeguards who then are put in a position of placing themselves in danger.

I cannot help but have serious concerns about the amount of weight these massive hanging pools exert on their support structures along with the rhythmic horizontal motion the water makes with the natural sway of the buildings in high winds. These are still relatively new and I suspect that we are just waiting for the first major one to fail. Of course, I could just be overly paranoid - LOL.

The worst part of the Leap of Faith at the Atlantis Resort is the drop. It’s hard to even keep your eyes open, so the sharks are the last thing you’re thinking about. It’s the only water slide I will never slide down again.
The only really scary ones in my opinion were the natural hazards and maybe the tallest/steepest water slide. The croc tank isn't really what I call a swimming experience, and you can definitely have the psychedelic light show slides - I'm not even seizure prone, but I'm getting a headache just watching a video of them.
I’ve gone on the leap of faith (several times) and you really just zoom past the sharks; barely see them at all when you’re on the ride. There is a much milder ride on the side that also goes through the same shark tank where you can float on those inflatable doughnuts at a much slower pace; that one’s definitely better for shark viewing
For anyone who’s a little freaked-out by the idea of swimming in the claustrophobic pool @ 13:38 , search for ‘the pool rooms’, on here, it’s nightmarish, lol
#TodaysTopic: That pool is a bit scary looking to me. You can’t tell how deep it is and if you can stand up or not. And where do you get in and out at?? Or rest? And at the end of that long pool it’s too dark for my liking. And you can’t tell if it ends or turns the corner. Spooky. But all the others, especially the slides, I’m game!!! Would love to go to any or all. Well, those real deep scuba diving pools, they are a bit scary looking too. Anyway, enjoyed the video! ❤️💜💚
It's so weird thinking about the suspended glass bottom pool then thinking about the narrow grey basement pool. Going from agoraphobia to claustrophobia like that takes my breath 😂😂
Living in the south, swimming with alligator became an unwanted event. One summer a few days after a flash flood, the local creek was starting to clear up, a spot locals named the Brum hole had 3 visitors and we didn't notice until jumping in.
There are actually two different slides at Atlantis you referenced. There's the "shark lagoon" which is a more relaxed slide that you use intertubes for. Then there's the "Mayan temple" body slide where you also go through the same shark tank. I've only done the first (which was awesome at 13:35) because I'm not a fan of those "drop door" kinda slides.
yeah, I've been there myself before and loved it, I did a drop tower ride at Aquatica and thought I was falling to my death, never did it ever again after that ........................

Are you talking about the _Devil's Pool_ above _Victoria Falls_ in Zimbabwe? @11:08 That's the only one that gives me pause. I've seen a documentary on it before. There's actually a naturally occurring lip at the edge that keeps you from going over the falls. Basically a rock wall formation. However, if the river level is too high or there's a flash flood, it could cause anyone sitting in that pool area to to tumbling right over the falls. And let's face it, there would be NO hope for survival. Not over a 320 foot drop. Then there's the other potential catastrophe that the rock formation decided to give way or shift while you're up there just soaking in the scenery. Highly unlikely but it is a possibility. Water erodes and they say Niagara Falls erodes about 1 foot each year. Victoria Falls is much, much bigger.
I’ve been on the Leap Of Faith slide in the Bahamas. 1.) The initial drop is a different level of shock. If anything, I was fearful b/c I felt my body lift off of the slide a little. 2.) While it was fun overall, the ride hurt my ass lol.
Any of these high things literally paralyze me. I don't even go on balconies with my family of it's above 4 stories. I can't even fathom these pools. I used to not be scared of heights, but somehow I became petrified when I became an adult
I’ve been to the “queens bath” and it is anything but terrifying. The real nightmare is the trail there. Don’t even think about going unless you dont mind mud.
They all look like a lot of fun. But, being that I am not a swimmer, I will be staying away from these pools. I don't even frequent back yard, or even public pools or swimming areas.

Yup, I loved that basement pool, what a holodeck feeling. I´d swim there anytime.. Thanks for sharing.
I actually lived in midway for two years, the crater was super fun to swim in every so often
Nah 😡🙄🙄
@@watoking4602 Nah?
The snow capped mountains that you can see from bali pool in Indonesia is really wonderful
3 words- research. Watch. Trust.
There is lots of fun pools here in Bali, one of the most memorable one we visited was the one from the edge of Uluwatu cliff overlooking the ocean with the glass floor.
What's the name?
no that is not peacefull😡😡😡😡😤😤😤

Guess what! My names Bali. So i feel glad that people enjoy my pools and place..... 😅😅😅... Hope u all enjoy me.
not surprising in a hot archipelago couintry
How does the 'basement pool' look scary? it looks amazing!
For real! Long, narrow, and no one else around? Or just me and a friend or two. I'd like chill as well as a capybara.
Do you believe in God and Jesus as your Creator and Savior? I'm not trying to force my religion, also anybody who sees this; I hope you have a blessed day!
Yes
Amen ❤
God bless you!
Yes! I do believe

I was already scared of water but thank you for adding to my anxiety

Waters slides are out of this world beautiful. I would love watching other heroic
people going down the slides, but as for myself, I would die having to go down these water slides, I could not handle it !! 🤣
I agree, I would rather check out the other attractions.

As someone who love adventure, I'll absolutely love to try every single pools shown in this video... They look like something I would really enjoy, given that I love thrilling experiences that gives me adrenaline rush
Me too, assuming I had that kind of money.
The worst part of the Leap of Faith at the Atlantis Resort is the drop. It’s hard to even keep your eyes open, so the sharks are the last thing you’re thinking about. It’s the only water slide I will never slide down again.
7:15 I’m trying to do the math and figure out how an hour and a half is 30 minutes. 😂😂
Yea I caught that2🤔
Or how 57 stories is 2000 ft up??
I was scrolling through the comments just for this. 👍🏽
Right?? Not me looking like the blonde woman in the geometry meme when he said that. 😂
Dubai’s pool is amazing! I’m not really a diver but I do drive on rare occasions. There’s so many places to explore!
Awesome stuff! These pools are magnificent! Esp like th black hole water slide!
I really enjoyed this video and the presenter!
The one that's scary to me Is the first one in Hawaii, the other one with the gator 🐊and the beautiful water fall in Zambia.
I admire your picture, wear your hair long? I find that attractive, please describe it?
I’ve gone on the leap of faith (several times) and you really just zoom past the sharks; barely see them at all when you’re on the ride. There is a much milder ride on the side that also goes through the same shark tank where you can float on those inflatable doughnuts at a much slower pace; that one’s definitely better for shark viewing
I like your picture, wear your hair long? I find that attractive, please describe it?
I'd like that one.
That second one sounds cool. Would love to look around while going through.
I am anxious just watching this video! I'm super surprised my people are doing #6...
For anyone who’s a little freaked-out by the idea of swimming in the claustrophobic pool @ 13:38 , search for ‘the pool rooms’, on here, it’s nightmarish, lol
I always go to the mud pool 🌋 🎉it's beautiful
The basement pool? Sure I have the courage! I am not afraid of deep water! And I would be happy to swim in the dive pools, too!
I would love that basement pool 🏊! 🤩
❤️💜💚
My fav was the black hole slide... I want to try it so bad!! 😍
So.... where is the basement pool?
It's so weird thinking about the suspended glass bottom pool then thinking about the narrow grey basement pool. Going from agoraphobia to claustrophobia like that takes my breath 😂😂
takes it where?

This is beautiful. I love new exciting pools where you can swim and just have pure clean fun
They are confused between what a pool is and what a water slide is.
Exactly
Deep dive dubai looks really cool but dang scary!
Living in the south, swimming with alligator became an unwanted event. One summer a few days after a flash flood, the local creek was starting to clear up, a spot locals named the Brum hole had 3 visitors and we didn't notice until jumping in.
Half of these things are now going on my bucket list. ESPECIALLY that indoor deep dive.
The nightmare pool looks like heaven to me. I could really relax there.
Right I forgot but your correct.
I like your picture, wear your hair long? I find that attractive, please describe it?
yeah, I've been there myself before and loved it, I did a drop tower ride at Aquatica and thought I was falling to my death, never did it ever again after that ........................
@@danielobrien1571 Are you trying to be weird on purpose with your trolling of women posters?
@@It-is-me...Melsie No, I was complementing Kristi on her profile picture and was just curious how long her hair was, I have a passion for woman that keep their hair very long like Rapunzel's and find their dedication to doing that quite attractive and the most beautiful thing. Do you not share my feelings on woman that let their hair be that way to be the very best thing about their looks?
The water fall is appsalutley nuts no way am I doing that. It's like trying to swim above Niagara falls.
Are you talking about the _Devil's Pool_ above _Victoria Falls_ in
Zimbabwe? @11:08
That's the only one that gives me pause.
You do an amazing job!
Proud to say I'm Trinidadian we have much more amusement other than our natural mud pool !!
Ayeeeee! Famalay! Yes, Trinidad is nice, and Tobago is paradise on Earth! Sweet, sweet TnT, how I love meh country! 🇹🇹💚

The most I love is swimming pool in Bali, so exotic.
I’ve been on the Leap Of Faith slide in the Bahamas. 1.) The initial drop is a different level of shock. If anything, I was fearful b/c I felt my body lift off of the slide a little. 2.) While it was fun overall, the ride hurt my ass lol.
I did have a nightmare. I dreamt that these pools got shut down so that I would never get to explore them. 😨
Would love to see these pools and enjoy swimming ....added to our bucket list of places to visit in the future😍🥰👍👌🤗
As someone with a fear of liminal spaces, that basement pool would give me immediate chills bc that looks like something STRAIGHT out of The Backrooms
Milla, I like your videos & backing track 🎧🔥🔥🔥🔥
They all look like a lot of fun. But, being that I am not a swimmer, I will be staying away from these pools. I don't even frequent back yard, or even public pools or swimming areas.
very wise David.
David I'm concerned over bacteria, fungus and germs. So no public pool for me. However I felt attraction for the
basement pool, how weird is that?
@@carollen5601 Yeah, that's a good one. The tunnel pool is a little creepy, a little too claustrophobic for me. But,if you like adventure, they all offer all sorts of it.
I went to aqualandia in Spain and it was epic. The swimming pool and rides were awesome and the slides were thrilling and high.
That narrow pool is called a "lap pool", and they're very common ... I suppose if you were extremely claustrophobic and couldn't swim it would be scary
AMAZING by all means. I LUV IT.
