  • With roads venturing to even the remotest regions around the world, there’s no doubt that they’re the most important type of transport infrastructure that there is. Virtually everything in modern life relies on using a road at some point, and while the vast majority have been built in similar ways, new technologies are now meaning designers can look at different approaches. Whether it’s to be more environmentally conscious, to increase network capacity, or to allow roads to be built where it would have been impossible before… it’s time to explore the top 15 experimental road infrastructures.

I think the way the floating rods undulate would make me very uncomfortable. The bioluminescent trees are a stellar idea! 😊😊😊❤❤❤

What about using hard shoulder of motorways for solar road panels as this would not have constant traffic

In my opinion the most Experimental road infrastructures are floating roads, tunnel roads, complex roads, mountain roads and skybridge roads. I have an experience of a mountain and a tunnel roads in Norway what are really amazing, there you're that high it feels you're almost in Heaven. I would love to try floating roads on a middle of the sea and defienitily a skybridge roads high up in the sky, Franche's skybridges in Central Europe are something really awesome. Life is a Highway. 🌏🌍🌎🌃🌅🏞🛣🌁🏍🚘
