    I'm from Kenya. I worked in this hotel as an animator in 2019. Even before the pandemic it was already falling. A lot of dilapidated buildings and rooms were a trademark here. As at november 2019 only one of the hotels named Paradise was fully working. Emerald and The Club had fallen. Diamond had stopped working much earlier.
    We were not paid lots of salaries. They owe me 1100 US Dollars and I still feel sad about it to date.

    The size of resort is absolutely mind blowing. Can,t get over the fact that the watches and jewellery in that store remain untouched.

    We just stayed here for the last 8 days, and honestly they did quite a good job to fix it up in such a short period of time. Crazy to see the carpet is still the same though 😂

    Big, Beautiful and desolate lol the guards were clever not too do anything at noon you will get baked then, nice explore Rob would have loved too see more but the window of exploring time was a bit short i guess.

    Amazing! Mine was nothing like that, a drive in and shopping ctr, but going back to where you knew what it used to be made it better. You're a crazy shit going alone and thank you. There has to be more than one pic of young Bob getting into something at such a resort.

    Wow! In 1997 of 1998 ben ik in dit hotel geweest met mijn broer en ouders. Het was toen splinternieuw, heel luxueus. Bijna treurig om te zien hoe het er nu bij ligt.
    Ongelofelijk dat je dit durfde te filmen, in Egypte nog wel 😅

    This is sad, this was the hotel i stayed when i first visited Egypt in the early 2000s and it was a dream, it`s sad to see it abandoned.It`s funny that while looking for hotels I should land on your site as i was thinking of going back to the same hotel 20 years later.
    I hope they rebuild and open the place because I`d really love to go back

    Massive resort and really cool place to explore! I'm surprised you tried to leave the front door unlocked for next day in a well guarded place. If I was one of the security I would catch you next day...

      No the pyramid is at the entrance to the resorts. It's 5 hotels in one, hence the golden 5

    Geweldig om te zien afgelopen zomer ben ik hier geweest het heet nu blend club
    Het is heel langzaam aan de wederopbouw bezig
    Wij wisten niet toen we boekte dat we hier terecht kwamen. Er waren hele oude foto’s gebruikt.
    Als je onder de piramide het terrein rechts opgaat dat is weer open.
    Je moest met een bus door de rest van de bouwval naar het zwembad park en strand
    Vanaf de glijbaan had je een mooi beeld. Van wat er allemaal nog achter gelaten is en nog opgeknapt moet worden de komende 50
    Jaar

      O, was het verder iets? Lijkt mij wel gaaf om eens terug te gaan nu het weer in gebruik is.
      Het hoofdgebouw met de enorme kroonluchter is toch ook weer open? :)

      @@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath wij waren er vorige zomer en toen waren ze druk met het oude hoogbouw want dat zou afgelopen kerst open moeten gaan maar als je keek wat ze nog moesten doen hebben ze dat geloof ik nooit gered
      Het heet nu blend club ofzo
      Ik vermoed dat het een tijdelijke optie is
      Want als ze het willen opknappen zoals het was
      Zijn ze met de Egyptische temperaturen enwerk tempo zeker nog 50 jaar bezig

      Wij zijn hier nu. Ik was benieuwd naar de history van deze plaats en kwam deze video tegen. Het ziet er nu prachtig uit. Wat een werk is er verricht. De mooie oude details zijn bewaard gebleven. Het ziet er pico bello uit. Aanrader om hier naar toe te gaan. Top locatie

    Wat tof om te exploren op een locatie waar je vroeger op vakantie bent geweest! Bizar om te zien hoeveel ze hebben achtergelaten, zeker die juwelier... wat een enorm resort zeg... respect voor het maken van de video in deze temperaturen, ik weet exact wat het is, heb zelf in Oman een gps spel gedaan tussen 1300 en 1700 in de middag. Was ruim 40 graden buiten en alle locals keken ons heel vreemd aan, die zaten zelf of binnen of in de airco in de auto 😂😂

    Wow, ik ben hier een jaar of 18 geleden geweest met een incentive van het werk. Wij hebben hier toen een week verbleven en het was super deluxe. Ik denk dat de naam toen Almas Palace was of iets dergelijks. Vreemd om deze beelden nu te zien.

      Ik was er ook 22 jaar geleden. Heel maf ja. En om het resort heen was flink meer bebouwing. Het lag toen wat meer “afgelegen” in de woestijn

    It looks as if this hotel complex has been abandoned in a hurry, like the ones in Fukushima. It is surprising that, when such a resort is given up, the dealers who offer their goods there, then leave the goods behind and do not simply empty the shop.
