They cook your meals, they carry your equipment, they guide your steps through the summit, and they do all this to get enough money to educate their children and have a proper life. They are amazing people not rewarded enough.

Money is suppressing, undermining and resulting a great injustice to Sherpas and over all Nepali people. This documentary pays justice to the unfolded reality of great heroes of Mount Everest climbers like the inconvenient truth. Do so called money holders reach themselves without the great Heroes of Mount Everest? Great salute to the mountaineer Sherpas and the courage to one of the master mind producers and directors Mr. Hari Thapa for this apex documentary the Mount Everest !

My NYC Uber driver used to be an actual Nepalese Sherpa guide back in Nepal. It was a very interesting conversation.

I would love to climb with Long Dorje! He is an amazing climber and companion in every video I see and always has a peaceful spirit and awareness of his climbing partner and keeping them safe in every way. I would carry all of his gear just to climb with him. I've never climbed a mountain in my life, but I would feel confident enough with this guy. He's a legend to me. Awesome video. Glad they are getting more recognition. Hope they win more pay and better conditions to make it worth it for there families they are chancing never seeing again. Would love to live in Nepal and farm and live a simple life. America is getting just stupid with how sensitive everyone has become. America has become about having kids to get free checks and free living, black lives matter but all lives don't I guess, men becoming woman with gender euphoria or whatever it's called and everyone is so sue happy. School shootings over people being bullied or not popular or whatever the case is who knows. Feel so bad for those parents who never see their kids again. Bullshit. Can you tell I think America sucks anymore. Also I think I might have the add. Or the adhd. Lol, Our politicians are more corrupt then anything in the entire world who sell us products just to spy on us. Just out of control. That all has nothing to do with this video, but it meets my point, I would love to get away from this sissy ass country and move to Long Dorjes farm and build a house and climb everyday to base camp and fart around on the mountain. Lol. That was a retarted long post, Hahahaha!

100% agree and nobody would be able to make it without fixed ropes and ladders from the Sherpas. Only a super professional would be able to make it without help but even that is something i doubt.

Lack of respect led to leaving their loads to Sherpas and this shows they don't care and value Sherpas' lives but their fake glories.

the only criticism left of this video is that it is too short. bummer. it could have been among the more interesting and informative if you had perhaps had the budget.

Kari Kobler - how is it okay for you to leave all your stuff behind for the sherpas to carry? They are supposed to carry 12 kilos, but you made them carry 20+ at 7000m+? Very disgusting

Sherpas want the business. Shrrpa guides and porters make 9x more than the average in Nepal. To say that rich westerners are some kind of burden to these people is ridiculous. They have a good relationship. Plus, everyone, sherpa or not, needs porters to stock base camp. Sherpas that want to climb independent hire sherpas! Unless you have the time and energy to go back to town 4 times to stock up. Most Sherpas havent been within miles of everest because they're a people not a group of climbers.

Jonathan Mosher Respect, aknowledgement, pays not based on Nepal's earnings but as much as the Western agents forking out from their customers.
